Thanks so very much for the opportunity to expierience your Vieques villa. My wife, son and I were extremely pleased with everything. There is always a nervousness regarding accomodations when traveling. Ours evaporated in seconds after walking into your villa. "Very" nice doesn.'t desrcibe it.. "Amazing" design, appointments and location is a much closer description. Karen is incredibly gracious and the perfect host. We continuously talked about how well the home plan fit onto the lot and how efficient everything was. We compared it to other villas we had stayed at, some very high end ones, and they could not compare to Villa Destino. Oh yes, and Vieques is a jewel. The bio- bay was one of the most amazing things any of us have ever seen. Beaches?, World class, but then you know all this. We hope to be back someday.

I send you heartfelt thanks. Your correspondence beforehand, and your introduction to Villa Destino and the island, was a real boost to full appreciation of our time there. The house was all we could have hoped for, and more. The pool! The views! The horses and peacocks! Even the roosters, which I missed when I woke up to silence back home. Thank you for your attention to detail throughout our stay.

We stayed in Villa Destino in April, 2011. This was our first trip to Vieques and absolutely unforgettable.. The house is very comfortable, roomy, well kept, and tastefully decorated. The views from the house are spectacular and location is great, just in the middle of the island to get to any destination in 10-15 minutes. We will come back and will not be searching for another property because we would not want to be disappointed. This house is the perfect vacation rental. We wished it was ours!!!

I just wanted to pass along a very big thank you though. Our stay at Villa Destino was nothing short of awesome. The house was so comfortable, the view insane, and the friendly neighboring peacocks were hysterical. We had a truly lovely week and cannot wait to visit again. Well done on the amazing job you've done on that house, it really is beautiful!

When I arrived at Villa Destino with my husband and 2 children (ages 13 & 8) the first words out of my mouth were "The pictures don't do it justice!" It is so beautiful - the house, the pool, the views - everything exceeded my expectations. After a long, hot day in Puerto Rico waiting for ferry tickets and crowding on the boat, my whole family was exhausted. But as soon as we walked through the gates of Villa Destino, we were on vacation. The home is immaculate, the bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Each bedroom has an individual AC unit which was perfect for us, as each person could adjust it to their preference. The downstairs living area is decorated tastefully - comfortable and casual. I loved having all the doors of the villa open to the pool. Perfection! It was so relaxing to sit by the pool while the kids swam, as my husband and I enjoyed our Pina Coladas. (We made good use of the blender!) I also loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the lovely tropical garden and enjoying the hummingbird who visited every day. Pristine, deserted beaches are just a few minutes away by car and we visited one after another each day - Red, Blue, Green, and Secret Beach were our favorites. They were worth the bumpy "roads." So glad we rented an SUV! It's just incredible to walk along a beautiful beach and not see another person at all. We saw more wild horses than people as we drove around. Villa Destino is located about halfway between the 2 small towns of Isabel Segunda and Esperanza, so it was convenient if we were driving in to town for dinner or to pick up groceries. The villa is very well equipped for cooking so we often ate in. It is an absolutely beautiful place. I would stay at Villa Destino again and again. The owner was really wonderful and provided lots of helpful information. The property manager Karen was exceptional. She was absolutely delightful to deal with and was always available to answer questions, make recommendations, and provide whatever we needed. An exceptional villa in every way. Highly recommended.

My family and I rented Villa Destino during the second week of February 2010. It was our third annual visit to Vieques and our first time staying at Villa Destino. This home exceeded all our expectations. Where to begin? First, the house is well-situated; convenient to the towns of Isabel II and Esperanza, very close to the best beaches, and extremely close to my favorite grocery on the island. The spectacular landscaping – foxtail palms are really beautiful -- creates a sense of total seclusion even though there are other homes located on the same Destino hillside. The views of the nature preserve and Caribbean Sea from the property are great. The house itself is tastefully appointed. I would call it Island Colonial style with lots of stone tile and ironwork on the outside, light colors and plenty of rattan furniture on the inside. The first floor is an open-plan great room (kitchen/dining/living areas, plus full bath) that leads out onto the patio with chaise lounges, pool and outdoor dining area. When the (many) doors to the patio are opened, the entire ground floor is the epitome of indoor/outdoor living. Upstairs are three comfortable bedrooms, two with en suite baths, a cozy den with TV and another very large full bath. The second floor has access to an entirely separate outdoor space that includes a small yard with fruit trees and a terrace accessed from the master bedroom. All the amenities one expects from a luxury rental are provided in good working order. Karen, the amazing, kind, knowledgeable and helpful house manager sees to all that. Special props for the kitchen having all the tools needed to cook a reasonably gourmet meal, and for having some really pretty china to boot. If I had to criticize something about the house, it would be the fact that it takes a bit of effort to maintain the showers at a consistent temperature for any length of time, although there is never a lack of hot water. Finally, as a bit of “clean freak,” I have to note that the entire home is immaculate inside and out. For example, the outdoor barbeque was so incredibly clean that I was a little afraid to use it – but I eventually found the courage. In sum, Villa Destino is a beautiful property and a great home base for a fabulous vacation in Vieques. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a bit of island luxury and serenity.

We had a wonderful time in Vieques. The weather was perfect and the beaches are the nicest we have been to ever. Your villa is beautiful and we enjoyed everything about it. Karen (house manager) was very helpful as were the restaurant ideas you gave us. Our favorite was El Quenepo. Thanks for sharing your vacation home with us.

We had a wonderful time in your beautiful home and marvelled every day about our amazing good fortune. Karen (house manager) was very helpful when we arrived and gave us a good sense of where we had to go to find food, drink, restaurants, and extra activities. The island is lovely, but your home is special and accommodated us so well. There were five of us. Everyone had plenty of space and privacy.

We just returned from Villa Destino and had a fabulous time. We all needed a restfull vacation and your home is the place for it. You did such a terrific job on the house and grounds. I have traveled extensively and rented homes many places. This was by far the best! Everything felt comfortable and user friendly, but still had elegance and character. The view from the upstairs deck and the open lower level with the landscaping around the pool area are a slice of paradise. It is immediately evident that the owners take pride in Villa Destino; It is incredibly well-equipped and everything is in great condition. Karen (house manager) was great and we were actually surprised by the fabulous dinners for such a small island. I hope for your sake the island doesn't get any more "discovered".
