Going to the East away from the canal and down the hill 60 meters to the shores of the Potomac River, you have walking paths along the Potomac River to the Lincoln Monument. The Potomac River pathway provides easy access to Washington's Foggy Bottom business area where George Washington University, the World Health Organization and the State Department are resident.
