Northwoods Lakeside Retreat
Great get-away for 1-2 couples, or a small family. Very nice, newer, classic four-season cabin with knotty pine interior and vaulted ceilings. Southwest facing screen porch offers expansive views of Buck Lake. Cabin is situated on a private 3/4 acre wooded lot, which includes 100 feet of private lakeshore in front of cabin and a campfire pit near the lake.
Things to do while staying in the Summer:
1. RELAX and RECHARGE; make yourself comfortable by the lake or in the spacious screen porch and simply relax, have a good book nearby if you need an excuse- (A copy of "The Art of Doing Nothing" is available onsite)
2. Bird watching; Buck Lake has resident Loons and Bald Eagles, plus about 150 other species in the Summer!
3. Walking; Gravel road will take you around Buck Lake; allow about an hour
4. Brought your canoe or kayak? Paddle around the lake (or bring a picnic out to the small island) or go explore the nearby Yellow River
5. Fishing; (bring your own boat) Buck Lake has very good panfishing, as well as Bass and Northern Pike. (Note that Buck Lake is a 66 acre wilderness type lake. The lake is very clean, but does tend to have a lot of water lilies in summer.)
6. Brought your creativity? Pull up a stool on the porch or by the lake and do your thing; lots of writing and painting have been done here; or you could go “paint your own pot” at the “Pottery Shed” in Shell Lake
7. Seeking shopping? Webster, Siren, Spooner, Shell Lake, are all within about 20 minutes, Hayward is about 45 minutes away
8. Casino itch? Little Turtle Casino (3 miles) has 24 hour slots and video poker, and the “Hole in the Wall” Casino is in Danbury, about 7 miles north of Webster
9. Go out to eat: Several restaurants are within a few miles
10. Build a campfire and make s’mores
11. Check out the DVD movie library
12. Star Gazing! For best odds of seeing the Northern Lights, go out to the dock and look North (towards cabin) around midnight.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
2 night minimum stay; $110-$125/night, depending upon # of bdrms needed (1 or 2)
$150/$125 per night during holiday weeks
Weekly Rate: $600-$675/week, depending upon # of bedrooms needed.
$200 deposit required to reserve, (+ extra deposit if reservation includes pets)
to serve as a damage deposit; will be returned within 1 week after
check-out, unless repairs or extra cleaning are required after your stay.
Cancelation Policy: Refund given if we are able to re-rent for your period.
