This house is absolutely wonderful - and the view is even more stunning in person than the pictures can illustrate. Just a terrific place. We spent three days at this beautiful cabin in mid-October. The amenities were fantastic, the view of the lake simply stunning. Even though we didn't get lucky with the weather, the accommodations made our vacation a success! We enjoyed our time inside the cabin ( lots of games to entertain adults and kids) watching the stormy weather unfold over the beautiful lake. Would love to come back in the summer! What an incredible house with magnificant view of the lake. very comfortable and relaxing environment. Would recommend this location for all to enjoy one of our favorite locations.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a fantastic property. Seven of us, four adults and three kids (9,7,1). So many things to do, pool, ping pong, fishing (our 9 year old grandson caught two big mouth bass 20+ inches and was thrilled), beach a very short walk for the younger kids, swimming off the pier, kayak to the light house, just so many activities to keep everyone busy. People renting in the area very friendly. The interior of the home is great, lots of room, great kitchen, ate outside every night, and home is very clean with good beds! Just cannot say enough nice things about this home. The grandkids did not want to leave, when I asked for their favorite thing about the vacation, they could not come up with just one, they loved it all. Thanks for sharing this very special home.Owner response: Thank you for such a nice review. I too have had such a hard time doing all the activities available at least once. Time just seems to run out! I am glad that your family had such a wonderful time and that the house created wonderful memories for your grandchildren. Please come back to visit again.

Just returned from this beautiful home after a week's vacation with my adult children & their spouses. Had a fabulous time! The photo's of the house don't do it justice it is better! I was home for the holiday from the military. The place was rented for me to stay at with my fiance. Upon entering the house, we realized it exceeded our expectations. It was very cozy and homey. You felt like you were at home but yet away from it all. I was skeptical about the noise because of the main road so close by. I was very surprised to find that the noise level was at a minimum and it was very relaxing. I definitely would rent the place again. My fiance and I decided to get married right away before I returned back to base and we utilized this beautiful enclosed porch scenery as the perfect local. By the way, the sunset was awesome. Thank you for the opportunity.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

This was our second time renting the property and had a great vacation! The lake is beautiful and location cannot be beat! The kids (of all ages) had a great time swimming and fishing during the day and playing pool and ping pong in the evening. We also took the kayak and canoe out several times. The equipment and amenities are always in top shape and the house is very clean and spacious!! When not outside, we lived on the screened in porch watching the water, listening to the loons, reading and talking.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

This house is great! Beautiful lawn overlooking lake. Nice outdoor furniture and dining area. 2 Kayaks and a canoe for your use. Really fully equipped kitchen with nice table and chairs with view of lake, small deck for morning coffee, huge back living room shown in pictures. Comfortable furniture, beds, linens and bathrooms. We were there in May and it was wonderfully quiet. The loons really do serenade you nicely. The owner is responsive and attentive. House clean as a pin. Convenient to Augusta, grocery stores, etc. but out in a kayak among the islands it feels like the Adirondacks. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My family and I enjoyed an exceptional week at this lovely shorefront property, The Fall weather was perfect for sitting on the sweeping lawn that went down to the lake or for taking in the panoramic view from the enclosed porch that runs along the entire front of the house. Some of the sunsets were breathtaking.The house was very clean and comfortable; it has Maine decorative details. Because the house is right on the lake we canoed and kayaked with great ease. We used the ping pong and pool tables also. To keep in touch with the world cable TV (and a DVD player) and WiFi were available. The owner was very helpful in suggesting the local spots to buy lobsters, eat lobsta' rolls, and dine well. The Auusta Country Club is minutes away for golfing. Short drives bought us to cute neighboring towns where we strolled and shopped. My family greatly enjoyed this lake front home and would like to return in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
