I was home for the holiday from the military. The place was rented for me to stay at with my fiance. Upon entering the house, we realized it exceeded our expectations. It was very cozy and homey. You felt like you were at home but yet away from it all. I was skeptical about the noise because of the main road so close by. I was very surprised to find that the noise level was at a minimum and it was very relaxing. I definitely would rent the place again. My fiance and I decided to get married right away before I returned back to base and we utilized this beautiful enclosed porch scenery as the perfect local. By the way, the sunset was awesome. Thank you for the opportunity.

It is an incredible location on the lake and the main street being 1/4 mile away and the residential street behind the property only accesses the 12 homes in the grove, so noise has never been considered a problem. July 4 Vacation

This was our second time renting the property and had a great vacation! The lake is beautiful and location cannot be beat! The kids (of all ages) had a great time swimming and fishing during the day and playing pool and ping pong in the evening. We also took the kayak and canoe out several times. The equipment and amenities are always in top shape and the house is very clean and spacious!! When not outside, we lived on the screened in porch watching the water, listening to the loons, reading and talking.

This house is great! Beautiful lawn overlooking lake. Nice outdoor furniture and dining area. 2 Kayaks and a canoe for your use. Really fully equipped kitchen with nice table and chairs with view of lake, small deck for morning coffee, huge back living room shown in pictures. Comfortable furniture, beds, linens and bathrooms. We were there in May and it was wonderfully quiet. The loons really do serenade you nicely. The owner is responsive and attentive. House clean as a pin. Convenient to Augusta, grocery stores, etc. but out in a kayak among the islands it feels like the Adirondacks. Highly recommended.

My family and I enjoyed an exceptional week at this lovely shorefront property, The Fall weather was perfect for sitting on the sweeping lawn that went down to the lake or for taking in the panoramic view from the enclosed porch that runs along the entire front of the house. Some of the sunsets were breathtaking.The house was very clean and comfortable; it has Maine decorative details. Because the house is right on the lake we canoed and kayaked with great ease. We used the ping pong and pool tables also. To keep in touch with the world cable TV (and a DVD player) and WiFi were available. The owner was very helpful in suggesting the local spots to buy lobsters, eat lobsta' rolls, and dine well. The Auusta Country Club is minutes away for golfing. Short drives bought us to cute neighboring towns where we strolled and shopped. My family greatly enjoyed this lake front home and would like to return in the future.
