Why the Owner Chose Ocean Park
Many people ask, 'Why did someone from Southern California choose a vacation home in Fernandina Beach?' After visiting family in the Fernandina Beach area, we realized we had found the perfect spot for a vacation home. We love the beach and the relaxed friendly atmosphere of our hometown, but not the crowds and the traffic. Fernandina Beach has great access to the beach, a fascinating history, and a relaxed pace. The locals are very friendly and always willing to chat. Fernandina Beach has easy access to Jacksonville's activities, and is a quick drive to Jacksonville (JAX) airport.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Unique benefits of our property include the top floor location, on the quiet north end of the building. The condo has a wonderful view of the ocean and the beach and is a short (less than 5 minutes) walk to the beach. Main Beach and Sandy Bottoms Restaurant are a quick walk across the street.
Herons, egrets, and cormorants congregate by the pond, and occasionally deer feed on the property in the evening. Sometimes the gopher tortoises wander through the property.
Visit a Civil War era fort; fish off the pier; bike or stroll through the paths in the park
Visit the beach, picnic along the dunes, or have dinner oceanfront at 'Sandy Bottoms'
The Recreation Center has a fullsize heated swimming pool available, kiddie pool also as well as a Teen Center. Follow the trails at Egan's Creek, enjoying the wildlife viewing along Egan's Creek.
Have dinner downtown, visit a wide variety of shops, stop by the Marina. Don't forget ice cream at Fernandina Fudge. Pick up fresh produce, flowers and other specialties at the Farmer's Market every

This was our first time to stay at Ocean Park, and the condo was just amazing. Very clean, convenient to downtown and beaches, and well stocked (not only with supplies, but beach toys, umbrellas, towels, etc)! We came down with my wife's parents, and we all loved the condo. We will definitely consider staying here again. Great communication from the owner. Everything was easy! I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone and everyone.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, people with disabilities, families with young children.

Enjoyed our stay so very much - again. Already booked for our October visit again in 2011. The place is so convenient to all the good restaurants and to the beach. Wish we had more time to stay there but looking forward to our return. Also, have booked for our grandaughter and her hubby for their honeymoon in September. I know they'll love the place as much as we do.
