Cozy, quiet, clean room. Located on the oceanside of Hwy. 12. This is a great location for couples or friends. The shower is located directly outside of the room with hot water and is completely enclosed and private. Car parking is located directly outside of the room on a concrete slab. Small boats and jet skis are welcome. This room is ideal for laid back people and pets. It is in a safe location, close to restaurants and shops. The pictures speak for themselves. Serious inquiries only as the owner works full time and has limited phone and email time.

The room is very spacious, clean and bright. My friend and I never felt cramped or uncomfortable during our stay. The beds (a double bed and a pull out sofa bed) were surprisingly comfy and the owner provides plenty of extra linens. There is no TV so no worries about getting sucked into that mindless trap. It is a short walk to both the ocean and the sound. There are restaurants within walking distance as well as a small grocer. The owner is super cool and friendly. My new favorite place to stay on Hatteras Island.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Stayed on the May weekend of Memorial Day, 2011 with my wife, and absolutely loved this Efficiency. The pictures do not do justice, the room is bigger in reality. It was only a 5-minute walk to the beach, and the weekend we were there, the water was warm - with surf quality waves. Hatteras island is much quiter than the hustle-bustle of Nag's Head. If you want to spend a lazy holiday in fabulous uncrowded beaches, head down here. Also, since this is in the middle of OBX, makes it a good base to explore the North and South OBX. Just remember, the eateries around here close down by 9, so plan accordingly. The owners are fabulous and very helpful with local reccomendations and directions. Overall just loved how friendly everyone was down here. We will definitely come back here!

We stayed here last October and loved it - owner so friendly - neat and clean - can't believe I forgot to write a comment until checking our vacation folder and seeing it. We hope to come back this October for 2 nights.
