Our condo has two spacious bedrooms with two full bathrooms to sleep a total of five. The stunning master suite is furnished with a king bed and ample dresser and closet space for all of your belongings. The 2nd bedroom has access to a full bathroom as well as a dresser and closet space for your kids or guests. The over-sized couch sleeps one person more comfortably than any pull-out couch.
Take a short walk to the beach-front pool, Gulf ocean, or beach volleyball. Fish for Pompano right on the beach and prepare your catch on one of three outdoor grills. The unit is also a few steps away from a more private, secondary pool, indoor jacuzzis, sauna, exercise room, tennis courts, basketball court, and charcoal grill. The complex has plenty of room for outdoor sports and activities on large open grass areas sprinkled with palm trees. This beautiful Spanish-style condo complex is the last development on the island providing miles of walkable beaches and a clear view of beach sunsets from your top-floor balcony.
Okaloosa island offers a quiet and tropical experience including the Gulf's soft, white, quartz sand that leads to crystal-clear, emerald green water. Only a 5-10 min drive over the bridge to Destin which is home to the largest outdoor mall on the panhandle, outlet shopping, full and mini golf courses, seafood restaurants, nightlife, deep sea fishing, boat/jet-ski rentals, dolphin tours, and a wide array of watersport rentals and activities.

Why the Owner Chose El Matador
I first bought this condo when I moved to Florida to start my new job. My son had just gone to college and I was living here with my daughter for 2 years. I decided to move after my daughter started college at FSU but couldn't let go of our beautiful condo! Instead of selling it we chose instead to preserve the interior decorating and rent it out to friends and guests through VRBO.

I currently work as a nurse anesthetist in Fort Walton Beach and have 2 beautiful children who are both now in college. My son and I enjoy managing our condo rentals as we take pride in the effort made to decorate and maintain our previous residence. Because of my work hours, my son (age 24) handles rental inquiries while I manage the payments and well-being of the guests who decide to rent our condo. It has been almost 3 years since we started doing this and we continue to enjoy making our guests happy in beautiful Florida!

We had a great time at El Matador. Condo was perfect for our family of 3. We had the pool almost to ourselves. Great location. We've stayed many places on Okaloosa Island but my husband said this is his favorite.

This is a great family-friendly condo and complex. The unit was clean and comfortable. Although this unit is not gulf front, we had a great view of the sound from the back balcony and you could also see the beautiful beach. You could also see the ocean from the front door and kitchen. The entire complex is very clean and inviting. I would definitely stay here again. Peaceful and relaxing!

The condo was very nice and clean. Great view of the sound from the balcony. El Matador is at the end of Okaloosa Island, so it was very quiet and not much traffic. Short walk to the beach and pools. The beach has white powder sands and clear water. One of the pools is right beside the ocean. This is a fun place for the whole family. Plenty of Restaurants and activities and Destin is only 10 minutes away.

Loved this place. Right on the beach with a great view of the sunset from the back deck. Very clean too. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and clubs right on down the road. Would definitely come back again next year.

Very nice property only a five minute walk to Destin's soft, sandy beaches. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen and everything worked perfectly. All the bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and nicely maintained. The owner was very friendly and helpful to us. There are pools and accompanying well-maintained bathrooms right outside the building as well as charcoal BBQs. Wonderful trip!

The condo was beautifully decorated, spacious and so comfortable. And not to mention a 2 second walk to the private beach! The beach was never too full or crowded, and the 2 included swimming pools also made for a great second option for outdoor fun. The owner was so helpful and responsive, and you could tell carefully maintained the property. I will definitely be passing on the recommendation to friends.

Absolutely beautiful apartment located directly on the water. We had a wonderul time! The apartment was clean, spatious, and had gorgeous views of the ocean. Close to everything - beach, restaurants, bars, etc. Highly recommended!
