New for 2007, this spacious home is perfect for large families, reunions, weddings, golf groups, scrap-bookers, and holiday celebrations. The soothing decor in shades of sea glass and sand dunes will enhance your relaxing vacation. Pillow-top mattresses on the King and Queen beds bring sweet dreams. A 20' x 25' Great Room with cathedral ceiling and gas fireplace provides a comfortable venue for large gatherings. There is dining room seating for 22 (with a wet bar) and a fully-equipped kitchen.
On the main level are 2 bedrooms - a King Master Suite with whirlpool tub, separate shower, and walk-in closet plus a Queen Bedroom with private access to the hall bath. Upstairs are 4 additional bedrooms including the 2nd King Master Suite, Queen bedroom with additional single bed, Queen bedroom, and a Bunk room with 2 twin/double bunks and one twin/twin bunk (bunk room has a private bath). Summary 2 King, 3 Queen (one with extra single), 2 Double/twin bunks, 1 twin/twin bunk. Two on-demand gas water heaters ensure that you will never run out of hot water!
Outside is a wrap-around porch - the front is open, the side is screened, a sun deck, outdoor shower, and off-street parking for 6 cars. We are located 10 blocks from the Ocean. During the summer months, there is a Beach Shuttle Trolley that runs through our neighborhood twice/hour and costs 25 cents.
Rental includes 2 Beach Parking Passes that permit FREE parking on any residential street in Bethany Beach (not at meters). The town trolley (summer only) passes in front of our house twice/hour and costs 25 cents. This is a popular means of getting to the beach and around town. Bethany is very bicycle friendly with designated lanes and 2 bike sales/rental shops.
Minimum age: 25 years. No Smoking, No Pets. The individual signing the lease must be in residence for the entire length of the stay. We do not rent to unchaperoned 'Beach Week' celebrants.

Our time here is almost done, but oh the hours of fun we've had. The house was perfect for our party of 10. 5 Couples - all good friends and travelling buddies. We are five couples who have been friends since college in the '70's. We come from Washington, DC, Long Island, Boston, and Northern New York. This is our second reunion trip to Bethany Beach. We love the house for its walk to the beach, many bedrooms, and our OWN bathrooms! We had a great time and have many memories - including the earthquake of 2011 which we heard had happened! Fourteen of us stayed here for the week...6 "real adults" (older than 21), 1 20 year old (that's who is writing) and 7 kids 16 and under. This is our fourth trip to the east coast and we have enjoyed our stay at this house very much! From the trolley stop right outside the house to the numerous hiding spots for hide and seek to laying kickball in the street to the screened-in porch...there was something for us all! The amount of bathrooms & bedrooms were perfect for our family - enough said! We had some wonderful times at the beach - some funny moments as well. Each day was a blessing as we were able to spend time together as a family. We have really enjoyed our stay at Hawksbill House for our 4th Family Reunion. We had a difficult time finding rentals in Bethany Beach that were large enough to accommodate our extended family and at an affordable price. We built this home to provide enough bedrooms and bathrooms so that everyone would be comfortable and to have enough public area to spread out and relax. Owning in-town allows us to purchase beach parking passes that we provide to you so you can enjoy free, unlimited parking on the residential streets in town and by the beach.

The large screened porch adds another 'living room' to the house. With 2 ceilings fans, this area is breezy even if the wind isn't cooperating.
