Oceanfront at Ocean Club Villas
The Ocean Club Complex is considered to be the best oceanfront condos at Wild Dunes. Ours is the best of the best because of its placement in the building.
Picture in your mind a virtual stage. The image I will present is important because it illustrates how we define ‘oceanfront’, and how our meaning may be different from others. As you are entering our villa - translated expensive condo - from a large outside hallway, the ocean is not yet a part of the panorama because it is hidden from view on the back side of the building. You walk into a foyer and turn right down a hallway, and as you are walking you see a mother and her ten year old daughter approaching. The hall opens up into the dining/living room area, and one wall suddenly turns into floor to ceiling windows. The glass vista of the ocean continues approximately 30 feet down the whole side of the villa, and as you turn onto another angle, the view continues for another 20 feet. The entire building angles toward the beach and is strategically located so that from all the windows you see swelling waves and pristine beach. To conclude the virtual tale, as the mother and daughter enter the room, the little girl slowly looks around, then turns to her mother and says, “Momma, are we on a boat?”
Let there be no doubt - if you are looking for an ocean front view, there is no comparison between our villa and others that are available. There is an ocean front view from the dining/living room and ALL three of the bedrooms. The only rooms in this huge villa (2300+ square feet, 9 foot ceilings) without the view are the laundry room and half bath. There are additional interesting items concerning this rental that I will furnish you when you email me for additional information. There are sixteen pictures on the website. The max allowed by VRBO. VERY IMPORTANT! CLICK ON VIDEO UPPER LEFT ABOVE PICTURE. It helps to link together all the still pictures. As they say ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’. The frosting on the cake is the extensive balconies that come off the three bedrooms and living/dining room highlighted with brand new high quality furniture. Heaven should be so nice.
I will be providing you with other links to about ten properties in Ocean Club. It is a complex consisting of two buildings each containing 51 villas. The property sites I’m sending you all have owners that are a little better about ‘meat and potatoes’ than I. Please check their rental rate so you can see how ours compares favorably. Visiting these other sites will be very helpful in your understanding of the Ocean Club/Wild Dunes properties in particular and Charleston in general. There is a lot of information available to those interested in this beautiful area of South Carolina beaches. However, it is most important that you try and picture their view of the ocean in comparison to ours. All of the villas have similar floor plans, furnished as you would expect luxury villas should be. We offer the one big differences - our location maximizes the view of the ocean.
Two other factors to consider in our rental are housekeeping and maintenance. We are fortunate to have two of the best. Maintenance is available to you 24/7. We will provide you with the phone number. Should anything not work properly, call. In the unlikely event you are not pleased with the cleanliness of the villa when you arrive, call housekeeping to come back in and clean it to your satisfaction. We will provide you with that number as well. There is a lot of additional information to email so you can make absolutely certain we will meet your needs. Moving to the next step is easy. Please note that in response to guests' request we have changed out the twin beds in one of the bedrooms to a king.

You cannot get more oceanfront than this condo! Our family spent Christmas here, each morning watching the most amazing sunrise from each bedroom. It was truly heaven on earth. The condo far surpassed our expectations with beautifully decorated rooms and amenities, and as a chef I found everything I needed to cook all the meals my family enjoyed. You'll feel like you are at the end of the most beautiful earth and don't miss the chance to collect seashells at low tide--a must! Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us...we'll be back for years to come.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Unit is an excellent location on the top floor with a panoramic view with excellent views looking down the beach as well as views looking down the 18th fairway of the Wild Dunes Ocean/Links Course. Unit was well appointed in terms of types of seating, adequate glassware and dishes and wonderful linens on the bed. As any beach property that faces the sun, there is some fading, but a terrific location. Felt very private since you are at the tip of Wild Dunes.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I spent a week at this property in October 2011, and it was absolutely wonderful. The location of the villa is ideal with spectacular views of the ocean, golf course and Dewees Island. It is truly a panoramic vista. When we sat at the dining room table, it felt as if we were on a ship at sea. The villa is decorated perfectly - very tasteful, with everything you could possibly need. We used the kitchen extensively, and found it very well equipped. We are already looking forward to a return trip. This is truly paradise. Last but not least was our interface with the property manager. I found him to be very knowledgable, cooperative and easy to work with. He went out of his way to ensure our vacation was enjoyable. Excellent experience in every way.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our 3day stay was magical. Everyone mentions the view and it is impossible to omit that comment. The excellent "virtual tour" can't prepare you for the impact. The furnishings are lovely and the amenities plentiful.The well-placed wet bar is helpful when entertaining and is unobtrusive and can be closed when not in use.If one wishes to rent a villa, don't look furthur; this one is "tops"--no pun intended!Did you find this review helpful? WE RECENTLY WERE GUEST IN THIS CONDO ALONG WITH TWO OTHER COUPLES ALL RETIRED NOW, BUT WENT TO HIGHSCHOOL TOGETHER. WE HAVE HAD MANY GOOD TIMES TOGETHER THROUGHOUT THE YEARS, AND THOSE DAYS SPENT IN THIS PLACE WILL CERTAINLY BE ADDED TO THE TOP OF GOOD TIMES HAD BY ALL. THE FEEL OF THE CONDO WHEN YOU WALKED IN LEAD INTO HAVING NOTHING BUT GOOD TIMES. I PICKED OUT THE CONDO SO I FELT ALITTLE PRESSURE WITH THE RESONSIBILTY. TOOK A SIGH OF RELIEF THE MINUTE MY HUSBAND AND I WALKED IN. I WANT TO THANK PETER FOR TAKING SUCH AN INTEREST AND CARE ENOUGH TO GIVE ME A CALL TO ASSURE ME WE WOULD LOVE THE CONDO. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I HAVE HIGH STANDARDS AND THEY WERE ALL MET. WOULD LOVE TO STAY AGAIN. The condo is everything it is described as and more. We loved having a bathroom with each bedroom and a view. I can't say enough about the views from the condo, it is spectacular. What an exquisite accommodation!!! Starting outside - unobstructed views from the shipping channel to Sullivan's Island light house to the to the last dog leg and the 18th green and beyond to the National Forest and Dewee's and Bull Islands! There are some excellent golfers playing here because we have watched them! And inside - spacious layout, carefully planned with well chosen appointments! Nothing lacking from the front door throughout including the expanded balcony. We are most confident EVERY family or group staying here wish to sincerely thank you for sharing your lovely unit with each of us! My family had a perfectly wonderful stay this summer at Ocean Club 1504! I love the comment of a previous vacationer at this condo, describing it as a "giant suite on an oceanliner." That is how we felt, too, and it was awesome. I don't think I could describe this property any better than the "Dream Vacation Review" posted on 05/26-2009. "Dittos" from me and my family. Breath taking ocean views surround you and you are transported to another world. This is by far the best place to stay in Wild Dunes. This luxury villa is not only designer perfect, it has personal items that make you feel at home unlike many sterile rental units. A delay with housekeeping was efficiently handled. Mishaps can always occur and it should be noted that Peter Cole makes the satisfaction of the guest a top priority. This is Wild Dunes very finest.Did you find this review helpful? About: My name is Peter Cole and I am the owner’s representative. I wear many hats: an oceanfront, resort, rental condo owner; property manager; rental agent; dog tender (That is Woody in the picture. Spends most of his day in the chair across from my desk watching me work.) and favorite; loving husband. As a Medicare card carrying senior, I look back over a full life. My chosen life ‘occupation’ (my Mother could never bring herself to call it a job) was to take teens on cross country camping trips; 3000 teens in all, spanning 33 years. My nephew Doug slipped into my shoes as I slipped into my retirement. My friends and relatives worried about my having too much time on my hands in retirement so they gave me their resort properties to manage. My reputation as a good manager/agent grew. Now 12 properties fill my stable. It was 1967 when I took ownership of my first rental property. In the years since, we have bought and sold 11. I come to you with a lot of experience.
