This three-level home is perfect for large groups year-round. The voluminous and woodsy vaulted great room, with a wall of windows, offer fantastic natural light and magnificent views of the Continental Divide. There are 5 bedrooms (plus a loft with more beds), four full baths and two half baths. The property is great for weddings, receptions, reunions, or just vacations.

The home is located overlooking the town of Breckenridge, two blocks from the base of Peak 8. Breckenridge is a 140-year old Victorian mining town - a real town. It has more night life than anywhere else in Summit County, with over 200 restaurants and shops. Besides the usual skiing in winter and hiking and biking in summer, Breckenridge offers a summer music festival with orchestral performances from classical to contemporary music.

If your group is larger than this house accommodates, OR you want to be closer to downtown Breckenridge, check out our other property, the McWilliams House, as an additional or alternative rental. Located just blocks from Main Street with great views of the ski hills, the McWilliams House is our family's favorite location because it's a short walk to the ski shuttle, the gondola, every restaurant in town and City Market grocery store. You park your car and may never use it again. The McWilliams House is VRBO listing #15822.

Christmas in Breck

This is an excellent house for the needs of a large group. We had very positive experience for three years in a row - snow or no snow, it is still practically ski-in-ski-out (easy access to Snowflake lift, meaning Peak 8 and Peak 9, another alternative is the shuttle bus). Convenient bedrooms, nice kitchen/dining facility. A short drive to the village.

Warm and inviting home to make memories.

I have stayed here several times and absolutely love it. Easy access to the mountain. Short walk to Peak 8 base or take the free shuttle. Love sitting in the hot tub with beautiful views of the town of Breckenridge and Mt. Baldy in the background. We are able to send the kids down to the basement where there rooms were while the adults where on the top floor doing there thing. Kids can play ping pong, watch movies, having a blast and not disturb the adults who are 2 floors up. Great room is absolutely an amazing place for congregating. I absolutely love this house and hope to make many more memories here.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Cannot wait to return . . .

We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful family vacation this past July, and we have found this vacation home to be perfect for our family gatherings. It offers great living space on three separate levels which is a huge plus for large gatherings. Those wanting to head to bed on the early side can escape to rooms far from the hustle and bustle of the main floor with the large basement offering ping-pong and a great hang-out area for the young ones! The views from the large deck are spectacular, and the location is aboslutely ideal with Peak 9 and the Gondola just a short walk away and hiking/biking trails at your doorstep. Breckenridge's charming downtown is just minutes away by car, or a quick Gondola ride down the mountain. We could not have found a better place to enjoy our family's vacation! We cannot wait to get back here to enjoy another fabulous summer vacation in the mountains settled in this terrific mountain abode. -Lindsey and Joe Serrano

This is the second time we have stayed here during the summer. Warm days and cool nights. The house is in great shape and accomodated ten adults and seven kids. The view from the deck of the moutains and town is wonderful and relaxing. Enjoying the hot tub on cool nights is an added bonus. Easy access to peak 8 activities such as the fun park and free gondola ride to town. The town is one mile and can be reached easily by walking or driving. Breckenridge is a great point to stage day trips for hiking, biking, horseback and water activities. Not far to Leadville, Copper Mountain, and Vail as well. You'll have a great time here, enjoy.

perfect place for family get-aways and relaxation!

We have stayed a couple of times at the Campbellot home and cannot get enough of it. It is the perfect location, just a few minutes walk from town, peak 8, and comfortably nestled in the neighborhood with enough privacy to feel like you own the mountain! Our family members ages varied from infant (12 months) to 75 years old and everyone had everything they needed in the home, right down to bunk beds for the kids and a premium mattress in the master, for bad backs or a long day of hiking and biking! The hot tub is a bonus and perfect to rejuvenate your body after a day of play. The kitchen lacks of nothing and the same for the laundry facilities which we used every day. We would definitely recommend this home and plan on staying there again and again! We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else- it is truly a home and exactly what we look for when traveling!

Memorable Family Vacation

Guest: Odean (Brentwood MO)

This summer’s vacation experience in Colorado was wonderful because of these accommodations! The design was perfect for our family vacation (grandparents, kids, and grandkids) with lots of nooks for privacy and large rooms for family gatherings. The hot tub was also a nice, relaxing nightly ritual. The location was just a short walk to Peak 8’s the free gondola ride to downtown Breckenridge’s quaint shopping and dining. And Peak 8 is home to one of highest family attractions in the area – Peak 8 Fun Park. I would highly recommend it for any group get-away for any season!

Family of 16

Guest: Mel and Alice (St. Louis, MO/midwest)
Date of Stay: 07/01/11 Review Submitted: 08/12/11

We stayed in this magnificent facility for one week in July, 2011. There was room for all of us to be there comfortably and still have privacy when needed. The design of the lodge offers an incredible view of "Baldy Mountain" that can be viewed from almost all areas of the lodge. There are decks on two levels, with the lower deck housing the hot tub, both decks with a view of "Baldy" The location near Peak 8 allowed us to walk to the many activities at Peak 8 which included things available for all age levels throughout the summer. The Alpine slide was a big hit with everyone in the family. With the gondola so easily available, we found that we never needed to drive to the happenings in town. Those activities included the Symphony performances, and as much fun, the ability to sit in on the rehearsals during the day before the performance. The caretaker staff was wonderful, very helpful, and very knowledgable and full of infomation concerning the area. They were available 24 hour/day for any questions or concerns that arose. The hiking trails were easily accessable from the lodge, with one trail in particular being our favorite, which led us to a wonderful outdoor education center located on a beautiful lake. The trail was very well marked and members of our family of all ages (from 3 years old to 76 years old) were able to hike it with ease. Other activities available were horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, The shops and restaruants were charming and enjoyable. Overall, this was probably one of the best family trips we have ever had, with everyone doing their own choice of things during the day and then gathering at the lodge for dinner together around a huge dining room table and sharing the happenings of the day in the evenings. A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE IN A BEAUTIFUL PLACE.
