Stay in the beautiful and scenic Carson Valley town of Gardnerville, Nevada, approximately 20 minutes from South Lake Tahoe and Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, 20 minutes from Carson City, and 45 minutes from Reno, Nevada. Your ultimate vacation is a half hour more or less from Kirkwood Ski Resort and the Pacific Coast Trail. The Valley is a great place to relax after being up at the lake or up on the slopes.
Fishing and Hiking is close by at Topaz Lake, Caples Lake, Blue Lakes, and Silver Lake among others. Go for a massage and hot tub mineral bath at Wally's Hot Springs Resort 10 minutes away in the historic western town of Genoa or hike to the waterfall and take a dip at Grover Hot Springs, 30 minutes away in Markleville, California.
The public swimming facility in Minden 5 minutes away has an indoor kid's pool with special fun features, Olympic size pool with regular and high dive, therapy heated pool with handicap access and 2 water slides, as well as 2 additional outdoor pools to bask in the sun, all for a nominal entry fee.
Natural adventure is unlimited in the nearby Sierra Mountains. The adventure doesn't stop there. Carson Valley is renown for its Paragliding and Ballooning. You are surrounded by great public, semi-private and prestigious private golf courses. The valley has great restaurants including some of the best Basque food around. There is also a farmer’s market every Wednesday during the summer.
The Gardnerville home has surrounding conveniences as well. There are three markets within walking distance, Starbucks, Round Table Pizza, a Walgreen’s and several other fast food restaurants. There are also superlative restaurants such as JT’s Bar and Grill and Saletti’s Restaurant. The popular gambling and convention destination Carson Valley Inn is approximately three miles away, and Sharkey’s Casino is closer still.
The air is fresh and views incredible in this gorgeous high desert area at 4725 feet elevation near beautiful parks and the Carson Valley River. You'll be pleasantly surprised with a visit to historic Genoa and Carson City and by what the Valley has to offer.
The home is a one story 2300 square foot comfortable home suitable for 1 or 2 families with amazing views of Jobe’s Peak and the eastern side of the Sierra Mountains from most rooms.
There are 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths including master suite with king size bed and 2nd large bedroom with King size bed. Bedroom 3 has a double bed. Bedroom 4 has a trundle bed which opens to 2 twins.
All cooking and eating utensils are supplied and there is a dishwasher and refrigerator with ice maker. Open living plan, including dining, living and Family Rooms, large kitchen with breakfast table and eating bar. Cable TV is included and a computer is available with DSL internet access. There is a video library.
You can easily park 6 vehicles, with 1 in the attached garage, and there is room to park an RV and or Boat on the 3/4 acre lot. There is a full size washer and dryer available.
Sorry, but pets and smoking are not allowed as the owners are very allergic and still use the home quite often. We will be strict on both these issues as far as return of deposit should visitors break the rules. We want to keep the home nice for everyone who comes to enjoy themselves.
