I stayed in this unit during spring break with my 14 year old son and fiance. It was just like being at home! The resort is not pretentious and formal; exactly what suits us! This unit was quiet, clean and roomy. While we could definitely have used more counter space for food prep., everything else was great. There were some beach "toys" for us to use, and the dive shack is on the beach, so there's no need to bring anything from home, for the water - except a cooler! We had two small coolers we took the beach each day, and just reloaded our cups when we made lunch in the room! We stopped at Kmart and the grocery store in Tutu, and loaded up with food and beverages for the week! This 2nd/3rd floor unit give you a beautiful view of nearly everything. While we were there, the winds were from the east, and somewhat strong. However, D building blocked all the winds and we could sit on the balconies in pure comfort. Everyone was very friendly at the resort - even the guests from the cruise ships! We met so many interesting people, right at the water's edge! I highly recommend this unit for families. Two tv's, internet access and large balconies offered something for each of us! I'm very happy that we chose this unit, and we are already planning a trip for next year!!!

Perfection! We just returned from five days in Chuck’s condo and we continue to be completely in awe of how perfect our vacation was. This was our first trip to the island(s) and our first time renting via. VRBO so we had lots of questions and concerns. No matter how many reviews we read and how much information we received from Chuck, we still were not prepared for the sheer beauty, comfort, and relaxation we experienced. Chuck provided so many details ahead of time that our experience was seamless from our arrival at the airport, transportation to the condo, gaining access to the condo, finding transportation to everywhere we chose to visit, and even recommendations on some of the best restaurants. The condo is fully stocked with every amenity we desired and has tons of storage for all personal belongings. The photos of the condo and surrounding views are even more beautiful than what the photos show. If you long to be lulled to sleep by the sounds of crashing waves and Caribbean breezes gently blowing in the windows, this is the condo you want. Being this condo is a corner unit, there are two wrap-around balconies and two sets of glass door walls on each floor which provide cross breezes and truly stunning views. Thank you, Chuck, for being so helpful. It is evident you take great pride in providing your guests with the ultimate vacation experience.

I've stayed in numerous places around the world on both business and leisure travel and I have to say this was one of the best. The condo is a corner unit with two balconies overlooking Sapphire Beach, and is perfectly appointed and well maintained. It has a kitchen and full refrigerator, so we cooked in for some of our dinners and had almost all of our breakfasts and lunches there, which saves both time and money. Almost anything we could have wanted was in the condo. It's tastefully decorated with a blue-green ocean theme and has nice furnishings including a comfortable king-sized bed and a pull out couch. The owner pays attention to every detail and the fact that he stays there himself shows in how well it is kept. It really was more like staying in a friend's place than a hotel, especially since the owner actually cares that you have a good time and provides so much help to make your trip a joy. We definitely plan to return next year and are grateful for such a fabulous rental.

Perfect Paradise Getaway Vacation - Corner Villa Condo - Sapphire Resort #135336

Stayed at this condo 8/6/11 - 8/13/11. The condo is nicely furnished and situated right on the beach. There is a small marina right across the parking lot that has excursions you can do to St.Johns and to British Virgin Islands. This keeps you from having to take a taxi to Red Hook about 5 minutes away. Being 5 minutes away from Red Hook makes it hard to go out for groceries and dinner. Taxis are available at Sapphire Resort but you pay person. This can become expensive after a few days if you have several people in your party. The only real concern I had with this condo was the local person that was to be there if any problems occured. Overall I would say he was not reliable or dependable. I called him prior to departing for St. Thomas to let him know when we would be arriving. He offered to pick us up from the airport and transport us back when we left. Also included was to be a trip to the grocery store to pick up supplies for the condo. We were late in arriving due to weather, I kept him up to date of our arrival, but when we landed he was not there. We waited for awhile since we had not arrived at the regular time scheduled. I finally called and he stated he was on the way. When he arrived he was apologetic and offered to stop at a small grocery store in Red Hook on the way to the condo that night. He said he would come back the next day and take us to the larger grocery store so we could purchase the rest of our week long supplies. He did not show up at the time we had discussed. When I called him he said he was hung up in St. Johns and would not be there. The before our departure I again called him and confirmed the time he would be there to take us to the airport. The next day he did not show up on time and I waited another 15 minutes (Island Time thing) and he was not there. I called and left message on his voice mail reminding him that he was to take us to the airport. Someone knocked on the door about 5 minutes later, it was one of the Sapphire Beach Resort employees that he had called instead of calling the condo phone. He told her to let us know he could not get there and we should get a taxi. The problem with that was against my better judgement I had paid him for the transportation both ways the night we got to St. Thomas. I told the Sapphire beach resort employee that this would be at his expense and I could tell she was not aware of that. She was nice enough to get us a cab and pay for it, only hope that she was reimbursed by Sam.

Owner response:As the owner of the Corner Villa Condo I am committed to guests fully enjoying my condo and having a wonderful vacation experience. The local person in question has offered airport pick-up and drop-off services in the past but has ceased this operation. I recommend that guests only use rental vehicles or valid taxis/van services, not locals offering transportation.

What a great place to stay! I stayed here for five nights with my boyfriend and two other friends. This unit was even better than I expected and so was the view. Having two floors with two full baths and two balconies was amazing. The only "downfall" was that the power went out for a day, but this is typical on the island. We spent the whole day on the beach so it didn't bother us! We will definitely be back and I've already recommended this condo to everyone I know! Thank you, Chuck! And Sam! : )

A relaxing week with a beautiful view

We stayed in this unit from February 11-19, 2011. The condo is everything it is advertised to be. It is clean and spacious with marvelous views of Sapphire Beach. The kitchen has the needed pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, etc. It is nice that there is a television upstairs as well as downstairs (especially if you have children) as well as a bathroom both up and down. The Internet connection upstairs worked perfectly. The week we were there, it was very quiet at night and we never had any problems sleeping. The bed upstairs was comfortable as well. There was plenty of closet space with many hangers to hang clothes and to store suitcases. The air conditioning in the unit with separate thermostats upstairs and down worked flawlessly. The owner, Chuck, was easy to work with and always answered emails quickly. He even provided a follow-up call once we got home. We also appreciated having the chair rental taken care of at the beach. We went with other couples who stayed in units who did not get the complementary chair/raft/snorkel rental like we did. It is definitely a bonus! The grounds keepers around the condos were always working to make sure everything looked great and others employed there (cook, beach waitresses, housekeepers, etc.) were always courteous. We had rented a car and there was always ample parking. We also did a day trip to the British Virgin Islands and it was very convenient to walk to the marina to get to our boat. Sapphire Beach is most definitely one of the prettiest beaches with wonderful snorkeling and gorgeous water. The condo is perfect for a relaxing vacation that gives you all the comforts of your home. I would recommend staying here.

This condo is very nice. It was handy to have the ice chest and the beach chairs and snorkels available to us. And we especially appreciated Chucks prompt attention to any questions we had. We enjoyed the patios and views and the closeness of the beach. It's the best snorkeling of all the other nearby places we went to. Perfect vacation spot.

The condo was everything that was advertised. No disappointment at all. It is extremely well stocked with every kitchen utensil and small appliance you might need. The best part is the location; Sapphire Beach is the best beach on St. Thomas. We will definitely be back. My family of five had a great time at Chuck's corner condo on beautiful Sapphire Beach. The view from the condo was even better than the pictures you see on the website! It was great having beach chairs and the people were very friendly. I would highly recommend a stay at Chuck's Condo. Everything in the unit was well maintained and equipped. The wrap around decks on two floors were great for relaxing and enjoying the view.

Chuck, The condo at C-309 was absolutely amazing! We've stayed several times at St Thomas before, and the condo at Sapphire Beach had stunning views, fantastic snorkeling right off the beach, and the staff was helpful and friendly; not to mention that the condo itself was clean, neat, and had everything we possibly needed. It was undoubtedly the most relaxing vacation my husband and I have ever had. The fact, too, that the marina was right there for wave-runners, charter boats, etc. made it even more fun! I can't wait to go back and stay next year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo in Paradise.

We just returned from our wonderful stay on St. Thomas. The condo is exactly as depicted in the pictures, we were very comfortable and the view is incredible. Sapphire beach was a perfect location, the beach was lovely and not crowded. Nearby Red Hook has restaurants and a grocery store, we particularly enjoyed the restaurant Fish Tails, right on the marina. We highly recommend this condo to anyone planning on visiting St. Thomas.

Chuck, what an amazing time we had staying at your condo on Sapphire Beach. Your condo was clean and updated, the view was incredible, the beach was perfect for swimming and snorkeling, and your building is in the perfect location on the resort. Close to pool, beach, and a one minute walk to the marina. (where we took a BVI excursion on Breakaway II - also incredible) Having a corner unit gave us such a spacious deck, and twice the view! We'll be back for sure!

I have rented many condos or homes and this was one of the most well equipped that I have ever stayed. There wasn't anything more you could ask for. We can't begin to say enough positive comments about this property!! Everything in the description is accurate,the layout,the awesome location, the amenities, and of course the VIEW. The condo was clean and waiting for us when we arrived even a bottle of rum and a couple cokes just waiting to be cracked. What a perfect way to start the vacation!! From the moment Sam met us at the airport and took us to the store we knew we were going to be in good hands. He made us feel so welcomed and was eager to answer all of our questions, he is a wonderful asset to your vacation.. The condo itself has just about everything you can think of from an over abundant amount of plates,glasses,utensils and even a martini shaker! There was even a few basic spices salt/pepper,oil/vinegar. A full size refrigerator makes it easy to store perishables. We started our mornings with a cup of freshly brewed coffee,cereals and toast while we sat on the deck and enjoyed the views. The bedroom was large and the king size bed was comfortable. The ceiling fans in the bedroom were a welcome addition at night, no need for the air conditioner we left the sliding door open and the fans on and we kept very comfortable. The location of the condo is another added bonus. The proximity to Red Hook makes it easy to ferry over to St. John to check out the beaches or have an awesome meal. We looked forward to taking the ferry over and enjoying the scenery. We went on a charter to Virgin Gourda and it left from the marina at Sappire it was so convenient to walk across the parking lot and grab the boat. The owner Chuck was extremely easy to work with, everything he said was accurate and he even took the time to call us while we were there to see if everything was O.K. Now thats service! We would reccomend this property to anyone who asks and are hoping to return next year for another Paradise Vacation!! Thank-you Roxann and Johnny

Another Great Sapphire Vacation

Stayed in this unit 1/24/08 to 2/2/08- very well maintained, updated kitchen, unfortunately needed the high speed DSL which worked great! This was our 6th visit to Sapphire & this was by far the best condo we've stayed in. They have done a lot of work on the exterior of the property- the newly redone tennis courts are beautiful- still only restaurant opened past 6pm is the Grapevine Grille on the hill by Sapphire Village and we miss the old gift shop but the new one has the necessities, just no "souvenirs" which you can get in Red Hook anyway. This is still my favorite beach and this condo definitely hast the best views!
