This cozy Mediterranean style cottage is located within the charming community of Shelter Harbor, located off of Quonochontaug Pond.
This four mile saltwater pond is perfect for kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, fishing, and of course, swimming. Across the pond is a deep-water breachway which allows boaters access to the Atlantic. From there you can set your sites toward Block Island, Montauk, Watch Hill, Mystic or Newport. Each destination is only a day’s journey.
The area has all the amenities needed to enjoy a relaxing vacation. On the other side of the pond is a three-mile stretch of private beach (accessible by either boat or car). During your stay you may decide to take a leisurely stroll along the nearby hiking trails, go for a bike ride along the coastline, or just run down for a dip at the neighborhood swimming dock. If taking up a day on the grass is more your style, there are plenty of golf courses in the surrounding area, and if you’d like to hit the courts, both private tennis and a basketball hoop are less than a mile away.
For other activities, we are located halfway between Mystic and Newport and just minutes away from Foxwoods Resorts and Mohegan Casino. |
