You can hear the waves hit the shore in this completely remodeled classic cedar shingled home that was originally built in 1870. The house was remodeled in 2002 from top to bottom and from inside to outside, while keeping all it's original charm. With the beach located directly in front of the house you can sit on the porch and watch the kids or call them in for lunch when its time.

In addition to a screened-in porch that has panoramic views of the Thimble Islands, the home has Central Air, High speed internet access, Brand new kitchen and baths and a outdoor shower stall.
The house is located in the scenic area of Pawson Park in Branford.

Within walking distance (or a 2 minute car ride) are the Indian Neck Market, Famous Lenny's Seafood restaurant, Bud's seafood market, Indian Neck Liquor store, the Owenego Inn ( A great place to go have a waterfront drink in the evening/lots of local character), 12 miles East of New Haven, Yale University and only 1.5 hours from NYC via car or Metro-North train.

  • The house was better than we expected from the photographs. It is quite spacious and open on the first floor. What a beautiful spot and a great house! Birthday dinner party was great with 10 of us sitting around the table very comfortably. I enjoyed sitting in the screened porch and watching the sun shimmering on the water in the morning. It is surprisingly close to downtown New Haven (20 min?) so I had no trouble driving in to go to dinner, see the sites or pick up family and friends. Branford town center is charming with a classic New England green.

  • My 3 adult children, their spouses and I stayed at 187 Linden Ave. while attending a family wedding. The house was clean, well equipped,comfortable, very charming and conducive to our relaxing family vacation. The view from the porch is magnificent and we spent hours enjoying it. Two of us even went for a swim during the last week of September. There is a private beach right across the street and it would be perfect for small children. We definitely plan to visit again!

  • Wonderful property. Very clean plenty of room and a well appointed kitchen which came in handy over the Christmas Holidays. Even though we were there in the winter, the views were gorgeous. Stairs are steep but typical of an older New England cottage. Home is well cared for, the management company very attentive. Close to everything but very private. I am sure this must be a true gem in the summer. As a frequent traveler I would highly recommend this property.
