    • We'd been planning on a visit to New Orleans and had made other arrangements for a home rental through VRBO. Those arrangements fell through when owner realized that he had double-booked the home. We called Brad at the last minute (2 days before our flight!) and although I know it was not very convenient for him to arrange cleaning, etc. at the last minute, he was so gracious and allowed us to come to his home. He sent me links to sites so we could pre-plan our time there and when we arrived, he had placed flyers for activities that we had discussed on the kitchen counter. He certainly didn't have to do that. Well, we had a lovely time in New Orleans and plan to come back, since 5 days wasn't enough to see what we wanted to see. To everyone considering visiting New Orleans, this condo is beautiful and certainly has everything we could need. It is very conveniently located in the French Quarter. It was nice to know that after a day of sightseeing, we could come back, rest and regroup, and go out again without having to leave the quarter. Your home is lovely, Brad. Thanks for sharing it with us. Both you and your home are gems.

    • What a beautiful, comfortable place to call home in New Orleans! We just returned from 4 days in "Down on Dauphine" and it was so hard to leave! The condo exceeded our expectations 100-fold, we were speechless when we first walked into this gorgeous unit. It could not have been filled with more amenities to make us feel at home in this wonderful city. It was such a pleasure after a long day of sightseeing to come back to such a quiet and clean house, with a picturesque courtyard, friendly neighbors, and a prime location. The bed is soooo comfortable, too! That's a rarity in most rental units and it made our trip nicer knowing we'd get a good night of rest and have the energy to explore New Orleans. I can't ever imagine staying anywhere else when we come back!

    • So comfortable, convenient, and well-appointed. The owners have taken considerable care to make this place very special, and it is just a wonderful place to stay. Although near to the Bourbon Street craziness, one would never know it. Down on Dauphine is quiet, beautiful, and secluded, yet within walking distance of lots and lots of things to do. Thanks so much, Brad and Mark.

    • Brad! I cannot thank you enough for everything that "Down on Dauphine" offers. You have obviously spent great effort and care in the decoration and generous accomodations (down to specialty soaps, and a cupboard with teas, coffee, and anything we needed). How foolish I now feel to have stayed anywhere else... your condo IS the epitomy of French Quarter living. The location could not be better. At times we had to remove ourselves from the too comfortable courtyard and tour the city. We had the luck of meeting some of the other owners... all as interesting and impressive as the last. Even they made us feel at home! I could just go on... my greatest suggestion to anyone considering this unit for rental is simply this: you can't possibly go wrong for so many reasons... but DON'T rent the week I can make it back there!!!

    • All I can say is that "Down on Dauphine" is like a home away from home. Everything we needed was in place as soon as we walked through the door. The courtyard is lush and welcoming and all the "neighbors" were like old friends. I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to stay here and how great it was to deal with Brad. This is the only place I would ever consider staying at in the French Quarter.

    • We just returned from a week-long honeymoon at Down on Dauphine. If (when) we return to New Orleans, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Mark and Brad have taken extreme care to meet any possible need a guest might have (including rain ponchos, a refrigerator and pantry with food and wine, all types of toiletries, great reading material, etc., etc.). The condo itself is gorgeous--very New Orleans but completely updated. The courtyard is perfection. The location is good for everything and is quiet notwithstanding how close it is to Bourbon Street. The price is a bargain given the alternatives. Look no further--Down on Dauphine positively rocks!

    • Just wanted to write a few lines about the fabulous time we had in New Orleans, and it would not have been near the fun if not for your wonderful and beautiful place. It was so conviently located to everything we wanted to do, and was a peaceful retreat to come back to when the busy city had had its way with us. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else because no place other than your condo would have all the amenities of home.

    • We spent five wonderful days enjoying Down on Dauphine over the first weekend of JazzFest 2008. This was also our ten year anniversary, so we were looking for something romantic and special. Down on Dauphine was perfect! We enjoyed having the fully stocked and elegant kitchen, drinking coffee in the courtyard, and luxuriating in the high-quality bedding. The owners have thought of everything, down to extra umbrellas for a sudden shower. The decor is beautiful, the home is spotless, and the vibe is true French Quarter elegance with a dash of funkiness.

    • Guess your wondering why I am posting a testimonial in March when we stayed at “Down on Dauphine” in January 2008. Believe it or not, I have found it hard to write a short liner about an incredible home-away-from-home without seeming like I was paid to give such glowing comments. If you are able to reserve this home during your stay in NOLA you are in for a real treat. We are frequent VRBO renters and have stayed in many places. “Down on Dauphine” is a high-class home and stands way above the many places we have rented. “Down on Dauphine” is one street over from Bourbon Street and in the heart of The French Quarter. Very safe, centrally located, and absolutely beautiful! The minute you step into the courtyard from the walkway you are wowed by the patio. The patio is tranquil, tropical, and relaxing. In the morning, we would sit outside for breakfast and we had mini-happy hour before heading out for the evening. The moment you walk into this unit, you are warmed with many personal touches and stunned by the beauty/modern/New Orleans décor that is exhibited in every corner. The kitchen is equipped with everything and even sports granite counter-tops! As you explore the kitchen, you will find the groceries basics like salt, pepper, oil, coffee, etc. In all the places that we have stayed in the past, we had to bring our own. This kitchen is well stocked with the accessories. We never once struggled with what we needed…they have it all.The bedroom upstairs is first class all the way. The bed is very comfortable and we slept like babies! The bathroom has it all just like the kitchen. They even provided special European like soaps for us to use. Again, most VRBO units you are to bring your own. I can’t say enough about the owners. They were so helpful with directions, suggestions on places to eat, and they really have worked hard to make their home a wonderful place to stay. I can only think of one reason why you wouldn’t stay here and it’s because your time requested is already reserved.
