Only steps from the boardwalk that leads to Lake Michigan's best, widest, and cleanest beach. Step up to the outside porch with with chairs to view the passing parade on Beachwalk Lane. Join the group inside the quaintly furnished living room. They may be sitting by the fireplace or kibitzing through the full-view windows with folks on the front porch.
Head through to the large, well-equipped, kitchen. Stop by to visit with the gang gathered around the table. Take a seat while your buddy barbecues on the Weber grill or step into the secluded screened porch. There you can lounge on the wicker furniture or sit down to eat at the dining table.
If the beach is not your thing, stroll down Beachwalk Lane into this neo-traditional community. Another block away is the swimming pool. Grab something to eat at the locally-run diner while overlooking Lake Kai, a small lake in which you can swim or fish. On Lake Kai's sandy beach, play volleyball or walk down to the pier and just let your toes dangle in the water.
Beachwalk features a private tennis court, basketball court, putting green, playground for the kids, and little parks nestled throughout the community. Bring your bikes for safe riding and decent shoes to hike the many trails. Several public and private golf courses are within a 20-minute drive.
Just about a mile down Lake Shore Drive is Washington Park (a 90-acre public park), the zoo, coast guard station, and marina. On non-beach days, visit the Lighthouse Outlet Mall, Marquette Mall, the movie theatres, or the museums of local interest.
There is horseback riding, day spas, and lots of art galleries and antique shops. Anything you want to eat is within minutes. There is always something to do around here, and the friendly folks at the Beachwalk office know it all!
