After holidaying in San Diego the last two years we have finally found the "Hidden Gem" of Mission Beach properties. We had an extended stay of three weeks. The Surfrider condos are amazing. Just imagine waking up each morning to panoramic views of the ocean, the sites of surfers interacting with dolphins as well as whales and the endless stream of people enjoying exercise along the boardwalk. The sunsets were spectacular. We must have taken a hundred photos. The Surfrider has a common area which includes a hot tub and BBQ grills. We enjoyed meeting people from all over North America and beyond. The condo units are in fabulous condition and very comfortable. We were impressed with the quality and friendliness of the maintenace staff. This is the first year that we did not go to the major "tourist" destinations but instead opted to explore the many sites that the San Diego coastline had to offer; although we did take in a San Diego Sate Basketball game and a the annual PGA Farmers Golf Tournament. The management team of Simone and Dominique are very accomodating and assisted us with even minor problems. We have been back home for two weeks now and still cannot get this property out of our minds. We will be back!

Heaven on the the sand

We stayed at the Surfrider Condo F for little under a week. The B Sisters were very helpful in making our reservation, taking the payment and ensuring that we could get into the rental without issue. The information on the listing is very accurate. The condo is right on the beach, we had a great view of the sunset over the ocean. We visited at the end of September so Mission Beach was still warm but not very crowded. You can walk to the shops and Belmont Park. We did not go to any San Diego attractions, instead we hung around the beach. The unit has a second story patio as well as access to the hot tub and patio right on the beach. We were there for the red tide, which was cool to watch at night. And we could see dolphins from the balcony. The condo is in great shape, everything is new. It has a full kitchen, with lots of pans and appliances. There was also a shared grill which we used, tools were included. The condo was very cost effective, we estimate that our group of four saved about $150 a day by using the kitchen instead of eating out three meals a day. Being on the second floor, it was more private but might impact people who have trouble climbing stairs. Recycling is available. The condo comes with one parking space but we found a second one close by. There is a TV with theater sound for night time entertainment. It comes with a DVR so you can record your soaps while you are on the beach. There is a sofa bed but we did not use it, the instruction book tells you how to get the linens. Finally, we liked the no smoking, no pets policy for the condo. We enjoyed our visit here. The worst part was leaving.

This property is wonderful, central to just about everything to do in San Diego. 15' to the beach, we walked every morning before taking the kids to Sea World, SD Zoo, Wild Animal Park, La Jolla Cove, Chula Vista Nature Center, etc.. The condo was comfortable and safe. Most importantly, the sisters who manage this property are great and easy to deal with. When we arrived, the fridge was not working. Dominique called before I could contact her and said she was working on it. She got us a small fridge to tide us over and spent a significant amount of her time at the condo to make sure it was fixed promptly. She worked around our schedule and was never intrusive. We highly recommend this property!

Great accommodations in Mission Beach. Very comfortable 2 bedroom unit, right on the beach. Ocean views from the bedroom! Simone was very accommodating of our needs for a Pack-n-Play for our infant. Very easy electronic transaction. Thanks a bunch!

The Surfrider condos are magnificent. I have admired them for many years on my travels to San Diego and was finally able to rent a unit. The grounds and units are kept immaculately clean. The master bedroom is amazing with its super comfy bed and ocean view. I felt like a superstar waking up with that view everyday. Simone was wonderful to deal with and was able to accommodate my very last minute inquiry. I am already making plans to return.

We LOVED the condo. The location could not have been better. We were the envy of all the people going by on the boardwalk. Very clean and nicely decorated. The ocean view was the best part, of course, but the beds were amazing too. We would definitely go back.

Just returned from the condo - had a great time and I would definitely recommend this as a place to go. Very easy process to book and a great location. The Little Italy Farmers Market / Mercato was great for steaks on the grill!

Our stay at Surf Rider was great! We feel we couldn't have stayed at a better property. It is in a perfect location with restaurants and rentals close by, along with the beach and ocean, of course! Imagine waking up from the a goodnight's sleep listening to the sound of the waves and the first thing you see is the ocean, the sunshine, and maybe a dolphin or 2 jumping in and out of the water. That's what our experience was like at Surf Rider this past week. We just got home last night. We can never go back to staying in a hotel after staying at Surf Rider. The views were magnificent. The location is excellent. We used to live in San Diego and knew the area we wanted to stay at. I jogged on the boardwalk in the morning watching and listening to the waves. Walked to restaurants and dined watching the sunset. It was also fun to watch the surfers. Mission Beach is beautiful, San Diego has so much to do for everyone of all ages and Surfrider is the place to stay. It's an upscale condo, lots of amenities and the Simone and Dominique treat you like you're special guests. We'll be back soon.

Surf Rider is a lovely property. It has a perfect location for touring the San Diego area. Dominique, manager, does her best to be helpful in every way. Robert, property maintenance, does an excellent job in keeping everything in top condition. We are looking forward to returning in the near future.

We just finished our stay at the Surf Rider and had an amazing time. Simone was extremely professional and efficient in the upfront rental dealings and we could not have asked for a better place. View was phenomenal, condo very well equipped, and the property amenities (hot tub) and proximity to ocean/boardwalk were perfect. We would highly recommend staying here and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Wow, what a great place and an amazing view. The location couldn't have been better. We had a fantastic time and we felt like we were at home. And thank you for providing the "info book" with places to eat, shop, see, etc... Even leaving the discount card for the grocery store. You've thought of everything. We'll be renting this unit again.

Mission Beach San Diego is a dream location and Surfrider is in the perfect location on Mission beach. The accomodation was very modern, well equipted and clean. Dominique and Simone were very helpful. San Diego is definately is a great place for a holiday . Great climate, no mosquitoes, cooler in the evening and most importantly no rain. We stayed during school holiday time and Surfrider accomodation is great for teenagers and older children. The week we were there our son met(well behaved ) kids from many parts of the US and it definately added to the experience for him. I am pretty fussy about holiday accomodation but would recommend Surfrider to anyone visiting Mission Beach.

We all had a brilliant time - so good we stayed an extra night (thank you Dominique). Excellent situation, great for teenagers (we have 2), and a good cameraderie with guests staying in the other apartments. The worst part is having to pack to leave!

Our family just returned from our stay at the Surf Rider in Mission Beach. Renting this condo was such a wonderful experience, we can't wait to return !! We were in awe at the location with it's unobstructed view of the ocean...the condo was unbelievably clean and just the perfect size (loved the private deck) Great location to walk to resturants, shops and the rental shop for surf boards and beach cruisers! Spent a great week and everyone was able to do just what they wanted, from watching sunsets and dolphins from our own balcony,living room and master bedroom to walking the beach and boardwalk, shopping and breakfast just a short walk, R & R, hot tub, just to name a few. Both Simone and Dominque were very accomodating and we would highly recommend the Surf Rider.

We had such a great time. Beautiful view and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The DVD player was a challenge. Can't wait to visit again.

What a great stay! Dominique and Simone were so professional and friendly and made the whole process a snap. The condo was right on the boardwalk and there were amazing water and sunset views from the living area and master bedroom. The location is great since you are close to everything, but it was still nice and quiet. We will definitely be back!
