We stayed in this home for one week over Christmas vacation until New Years and visited with our family in Columbus. The house was decorated for Christmas, very clean, and spacious. The owners were very organized in contacting us before our stay to explain everything about their house. When we arrived we had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities such as spices, flour, soup, a new gallon of milk, and even HOT CHOCOLATE for when my children were playing in the snow! There were extra pillows, blankets, towels, and everything was very clean. We loved the fenced in back yard for our children and 2 little dogs to run around in the snow. This is a wonderful house to stay in and I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

Owner response: After our guest left we arrived to see hundreds of footprints in the backyard snow. It brings back happy memeories of the forts and snow ball fights our grandchildren have had there. We was glad to see the snow was not wasted and maybe ccontributed to happy holiday memories for another family Judy and Ron

Great place to stay!

I was looking for a place for 6 women to stay for the Country Living Fair and found this and I am so glad I did! It is a great place to stay and we enjoyed our time there. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, it is very well supplied. We fixed several meals and we were surprised at what was available for us to use. Just like being in our own homes. It was a great place to come back to and relax after a day of walking the Fair. It is centrally located for lots of other options to do in Columbus. And Judy is very helpful and a wonderful host. We will be checking out your other rental options! Thanks Judy....keep up the great work!!

clean, comfortable, and dog-friendly

We stayed for three nights in late July. The home is quite clean and comfortable. The fenced backyard is gigantic (as promised) and the owner was very responsive to our concern about a couple of gaps under the gate. (She supplied landscaping bricks that blocked those spots.) We were so grateful that our dogs were allowed to stay with us in this home. (They were perfectly behaved guests.) The house has three levels (split); all three have doors that can be closed if somebody wants to keep animals (or children) on one level only. That was a plus. The neighborhood is nice, but not super walkable. Thankfully it's just a short drive to Antrim Park, the Park of Roses, and Highbanks Metro Park (all good places to walk dogs). Overall we were very satisfied with this VRBO home and recommend it highly to others.

We had a great experience in this vacation home in Columbus. The owner was very helpful and accessible during the planning and reservation process. The home was clean, comfortable and was convenient for us. We appreciated several extra touches such as plenty of towels and extra bedding, toys and games for children, and kitchen pantry items for our use. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect "Home" Away From Home

My husband (and our dog) stayed at this property over the Easter Holiday to reconnect with family living in Columbus and it was perfect. Certainly well appointed if you are a cook, but also just very comfortable, overall. You will find everything you need for sit down dinner (up to 12 people, I'd say) plus we also hosted a brunch buffet for more than 30 people. Plenty of fun was had by all...including nieces and nephews who found plenty of games to play inside (scrabble, etc.) and outside in the beautiful, giant backyard. We hope to return again and again.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

Great House; Well-Appointed!

This is the third time we have rented this house for a week while visiting family in the Columbus area. The house was everything we had learned to expect: clean, spacious, well-situated, with all the comforts of home. It was a great place for kids, dogs, and adults alike. We hope to rent it again the next time we are in the area.

Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

Owner response: It is such a pleasure to have our guest come again and again. It feels like having old friends visit even though you are not there.

Great house, wonderful owner

We spent 10 days in this house over Christmas and it was absolutely perfect for us as a family of 5. The owner has thought of everything as it does not feel like a 'rental' at all, it is a home away from home. A Christmas tree, garland and even Christmas china had been put up for our stay, something the children really liked. Would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone. We have found our new home in Columbus when we visit in the future.

This rental was great! We were in Columbus for a softball tournament last summer and this was the perfect place to stay. A convenient, short ride (~15-20 minutes) into Columbus. And a HUGE FLATE YARD! Kitchen had just about every cooking utensil, plates, glassware, etc. you would need and even the garage had some basic tools that came in handy when were in need of an unforeseen repair. If I ever find my way to Columbus - I am always going to see if this house is available. Oh, and we brought our dogs, too. Big, spacious house - we never felt crowded. Owner was also so helpful - great email communications with suggestions of activities. There was also a nice guide in the kitchen to local attractions, restaurants, etc. Wi-fi and great cable tv which included on-demand. I have had bad experiences with owners in the past and this is one owner that I would definitely recommend.

I needed a lot of space for my family of 6 while I was on a holiday/business trip with my family. I was worried that I wouldn't find a place that my family could be comfortable in, especially w/o breaking the bank. Judy has provided the PERFECT "home-away-from-home" get away. She has literally though of everything of convenience that a hotel could never match, and at a price that can't be beat. More space for the money, with all the conveniences of home....that's what you get! Thanks Judy!

Owner response: Our Christmas guest was very concerned about pulling the family away from home at Christmas. I have traveled with my children and grandchildren and so have a pretty good idea of what thay might miss. I put up a child friendly Christmas tree, decorated the house and got out the Christmas China. After I added a few Christmas story books to the kids toy closet I felt pretty sure they would feel like they were at Grandma's. I have always liked to entertain out of town guest at my home so renting to out of town guest to our vacation home has just become and extension of that.

Clean and comfortable. Good neighborhood and very convenient to OSU. We really felt at home here, and Judy was wonderful to deal with. If we ever return to Columbus, we will be booking again!

This is the most wonderful house, in a truly great Columbus neighborhood. The house has everything you will need, making it feel like you are staying at a good friend's home for a while, rather than a rental. You will love the neighborhood, the backyard, proximity to all Columbus area attractions, the comfortable rooms, and everything else. During our vacation, it was so nice to come home to after a long day. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful, clean, and welcoming, you will feel like you are at home! Judy has all the bases covered in this home away from home. The large yard was perfect for our dogs, so nice to be able to travel with them.

We loved our stay in this house! The home was so comfortable and clean and we looked forward to coming back after our days exploring Columbus and Dublin. All the rooms were huge and easily accomodated three adults and two children. We would definitely rent again.

At 48 years of age not a lot gives me comfort anymore, but peace and God certainly do the trick. This property, along with owner’s communication, exceeded my expectations. In other words I know both are God sends, because that’s just what you can expect, above and beyond the normal. Believe me when I say everything you need or want, is in the property, or very near by. From the time you step in the front door you will receive peace and comfort, need I say more, you have to experience this for yourself.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rented this house for a week and it was great! The set-up of the bedrooms and downstairs den area worked out well for two couples, one toddler, and our dog! The place was amazingly well-stocked with kitchen gear -- so much so that I was able to make scones. The fenced in yard was huge and perfect for our dog to run around in. We look forward to renting this house again next time we are in town.

We rented the house for a week- we had a great time!! The house is close to lots of shopping and downtown Columbus. Judy and Ron were great to rent from! Everything you need is at the house- so much nicer than being a hotel for a week!!Lots of room! We look forward to renting again in the future!!

I stayed here around the Holidays and the owner was an absolute pleasure to work with. The house was immaculate and in a very nice neighborhood. I felt totally at home. My dog Fred loved the back yard and ran circles around in it every day.

this house is a gem! nowhere else will you find almost an acre of land and so much living space in the house for the price. the kitchen is stocked to make you feel like you are home....and at the end of your stay..you won't want to leave. this house is a must if you are visiting the columbus area...easy to get to downtown and the airport. great quiet neighborhood...and close to shopping. bring your dog too!! the yard is completely fenced in!
