Truly a home away from home!

Three generations of our family had the most wonderful time at this home. It is located on a picturesque tree lined street. It is just minutes from City Park and the French Quarter. The yard is fenced and gated, great for young children. We all enjoyed the pool area in the back yard and several family members swam in March. We also took advantage of the Weber grill on two occasions. One night was fresh fish, shrimp and vegetables from the Farmer's Market. The owners are warm and friendly people, but they also give you your space to enjoy your vacation. The rooms are all comfortably furnished and the kitchen offers everything you could possibly need. I would highly recommend this property to anyone vacationing in New Orleans.

The house is exactly as advertised. We utilized all the sleeping spots including the queen sized inflatable mattress for 1 evening out of the 4 we stayed. And the house comfortably accommodates 11, even sharing the 2 bathrooms. We so appreciated having the washer/dryer. We walked about 4 blocks to a nice corner market on Esplanade Avenue for groceries. The owner lives upstairs which gave us a comfortable feeling of security. Wifi connection worked great! The taxi ride (cramming 5 or 6 in at a time) to the French Quarter cost $18 each way. It was so much more fun for our group (we were attending a conference) to be together in the house rather than in our separate hotel rooms (and more economical, too).

A group of 7, stayed here during the New Years holiday. It was easy to get to. The street, Ursulines is one of those picturesque New Orleans streets with the massive trees that reach over both sides of the road to come together in the middle. I felt like I was in another part of the world. The house was very nice and decorated in good taste. The bedrooms each had their own character, ours was very comfortable. The ceilings are low (considered the Garden level), but we had several tall guests, 6'+, and they were not bothered by it at all. The kitchen is super cooking friendly (seasoning, utensils, cookware, it was all there), and there is a dining table for 6, also a bar seating area for 2. There is also a patio area outside near the pool with a table and chairs for hanging outside. My husband is now inlove with the French press. You can hear people walking around above at times, but they operate on a normal schedule so it's not bothersome. The owners were very warm, friendly, helpful and were very hospitable. We couldn't of stayed at a better place for our elopement. Nearby is the City Park, which is where we got married. You can walk to it. The NOMA art museum is at the entrance of the park, which is neat. I felt that this was a safe area, and I really enjoyed the visual elements of the area. It was historic and had a lot of character. I would definitely like to come back to this place. It was so perfect for us!

We rented this property over Labor Day for a group of 8. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment had all the amenities that you could expect. It was also well-stocked with miscellaneous items in the fridge and the necessary paper items. The location is great-- not too far from the French Quarter, but with the safety and quiet of an upscale residential neighborhood. A grocery is located near by and the streetcar could be used, if you didn't mind walking several blocks. There were a number of reasonably priced restaurants, bars, etc on Carrolton. The patio was beautiful and the mosquitos were almost non-existent! We thoroughly enjoyed the salt-based pool system, which did not have the drying, chemical feel of a chlorine-based system. The long bench was perfect for sitting in the water and enjoying a beverage. There were plenty of beach towels provided, and a washer/dryer, if needed, to keep up. The large living/dining area was perfect for enjoying the company of a large group. We also enjoyed cooking several meals there-- even one on the grill outside. The air conditioners in each room kept the apartment very comfortable. The 3 bedrooms each have a queen bed, and one also has 2 twin beds, which was perfect for our party. The mattresses were very comfortable. Each bathroom has a shower (no tub)-- 1 bathroom is quite large, while the other is rather small, but works. Overall, I highly recommend this property. It is a real value!
