Our stay at the AlpineHaus was outstanding! The house is wonderful. Very clean, extremely roomy. We travel with my sister and brother-in-law so it was great for each couple to have our own bathrooms. The location is perfect...just a few minutes into downtown Estes as well as the park. Pretty setting, quiet. Even met one of the neighbors who was very nice and recommended a couple restaurants. We will definitely stay here again! We enjoyed dinner/drinks at The Rock Inn (almost in walking distance) and had a great pizza (their #1) at Bob and Tony's downtown. Saw lots of elk. As always it was a great time (we vacation in Estes nearly every fall) but the AlpineHaus definitely made this year's trip even better. Thank you so much! We would definitely recommend it!

A Piece of Heaven

Estes Park is one of the most beautiful places on this planet. This property is exceptional! From the moment we walked into the house we felt at home. It was more then we dreamed of. The pictures in no way do it justice. The kitchen is my domain and had everything (plus), that I needed for our Thanksgiving dinner. It is so quiet and peaceful, yet within minutes we could be in Estes Park. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We would recommend it to everyone!

ANOTHER TRIP TO HEAVEN

Guest: Tommy (Sunset Beach, NC USA)
Date of Stay: 08/27/10 Review Submitted: 09/18/10

This was our second trip to this property in Estes Park. It was again, our home away from home. It is extremely well kept and organized with wonderful decorations and amenities. The gas fireplace is a great thing to use on cool mornings. This is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood just minutes from downtown Estes Park (groceries and shops) and from Rocky Mountain National Park. The beauty of this park cannot be described or even photographed properly, so we purchased a DVD. We saw many animals, including a bear and three cubs on the ourskirts of town from our car. Elk can be seen in September in the park also. The view from the deck is of a mountain and plenty of blue spruce trees. We had come from a paradise at sea level to a different paradise at mountain level. Hopefully, we can again return. Come and enjoy this life for a while, and don't say for only a few days. Make sure you get to Glen Haven for those delicious cinnamon buns! Try the Dunraven Inn close to the house for great Italian food. Visit the Estes Park Museum for a historical tour of the area. Read the book on the coffee table entitled "Rocky Mountain National Park, Then And Now". You will not be disappointed.

Exceptional property and location

The quality and setting of the house easily exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have asked for a better base for our visit to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. The time went past all too quickly but all of us have some great memories from our vacation. The setting of the house was excellent and we enjoyed the quiet area and the privacy but still being within very easy reach of all facilities in Estes Park and only a few minutes from the national park entrance. The property was very well maintained and clean and welcoming to arrive to. The photos in the profile do not do full justice to the reality of the property. It is very well laid out with plenty of space for our party. We would have no hesitation to recommend this property to others for either a short break or extended vacation.

This was our 2nd stay at your home and it was perfect. The house is exactly what my family needs. The Thomas The Train set was a nice touch for my 3 yr. old daughter and my 5 year old son really enjoys the Mario Brothers games. It is nice after a long day of hiking in the Rocky Mountains to have something entertaining for the kids to do at home. We now consider this our home away from home in beautiful Estes Park. I look forward to many future visits.

What a surprise to walk in your beautiful home!! Booking it on the internet was a bit scary but as soon as the door was opened, you could feel the warmth! A gorgeous setting and close to shopping, hiking and sightseeing. Can't wait to come back again! The kids are talking of Christmas in the Rockies?

This was our first time to stay at Estes Park, though it probably won't be our last. What a pleasant, relaxing home away from home. Everything we needed was there. It was very nicely appointed in every room. Comfortable morning and night, with plenty of scenery and entertainment. The fishing was great, and a family of deer at the bridge to welcome us. Who could ask for more!

We spent a fantastic week in this home. The house itself is excellent in terms of location, setting, decor and equipment with many thoughtful touches that added to the overall quality of our stay. The bedrooms are spacious, the den is excellent for children wanting their own space and the lounge and dining room make for a relaxed setting for a holiday. The house setting is picturesque whilst it is well located in relation to Estes Park. Rocky Mountain National Park has to be visited. It has everything for the outdoor enthusiast of any age. Estes Park caters for all tastes and Boulder and Denver are within easy reach. I wholeheartedly commend this home to anyone wishing to visit Colorado.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time. Your home was a great place to stay. It far exceeded our expectations. We did everything we set out to do - hiking, horseback riding, shopping, sight seeing, etc. The weather was great and the residents of EP were extremely friendly. The kids said that this was the best vacation that they ever had. We will be come back and do it again in the near future. Thanks again!

I am so glad I chose your place to stay in over the others. My eyes lit up the second I walked inside your lovely home. We are here because my best friend is getting married this weekend. While other guests stayed at the Stanley, we are so glad we chose your place all to ourselves.

Enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with our children and grandchildren. We had a lot of fun playing in the snow, playing games and doing jigsaw puzzles. Your home is so cozy and comfortable. We all felt right at home here.

Your home was the perfect place for a girls weekend! We scrapbooked, danced, and laughed a lot. The cooler temperatures made it extra cozy inside. It was a great time and we hope to come back again. Your home is a touch above the rest! Aurora, Littleton, Wheat Ridge, Parker, Longmont, CO

An autumn meadow all golden and green. Tall Ponderosa pines and evergreens so fragrant, the leaf of an Aspen tree twittering in the wind. A clear lake nestled in the meadow of a craggy mountain range. Sugar dusted mountains all white with powder, Crystal clear mountain streams foaming and tumbling over gray boulders. Majestic bull elk and herds and herds of females. Cinnamon buns from Glen Haven, baked fresh every day. A town called Estes Park that thankfully retains flavors of the old West. The kindness of Coloradians not found anywhere else, Alpine Haus, the most beautiful, warm and inviting home in which to rest and doze by the fire. Thank you for all of this.

Your home has everything! Elegance, comfort and a total feel-good feeling. Our three teenage boys had a fun time fishing. Our eight year old daughter had the best time of her life. Especially admired your furniture (Berenstain Bear furniture she calls them!) I have been totally taken with your thoughtfulness. Evident in everything in your home. We have felt very welcome here.

What a great stay! This was quite an experiment for us – “booking blind” via the internet and (what’s more) 4000 miles from our home! All our hopes were born out – a lovely house in a super location for the park and overall area. Highly recommend for other Brits who want a house for the area! Thanks.

We’re finding it hard to leave your clean, spacious, beautifully decorated home, tucked away in the most perfect mountain setting. We were so lucky to have blue skies and warm temps nearly every day. We hit RMNP every day. Just when we finally got acclimated to the high altitude, it’s time to head back to Michigan.

We just loved your lovely home. You were so thoughtful when furnishing and decorating the interior. My family had such a wonderful time. We had a lot of wild life here with a bear the first morning, deer and fawn, beautiful birds and ground squirrels everywhere.

Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful home with us. Our boys fished morning, noon and night – loved every minute. We enjoyed several day trips and enjoyed coming back “home” at the day’s end. We hope to come back again.
