This modern lake home has forever views of the north lake from almost every room, including the living room, kitchen, dining area, and even lying down on the king size master bedroom bed! It is located less than 2 ½ miles from downtown Coeur d’Alene. It boasts a lake view deck for entertaining.
The attached garage allows any weather access to the house. The home has natural foliage wild apple trees to attract deer. Enjoy your privacy inside the perimeter of pine and fir trees opening up to the home within a large sunny meadow. Easy year round access from paved Upriver Road.
Spend mornings on your sun drenched deck watching the boaters go by. A nearby boat slip is available, and feel free to ask about enjoying coffee or cocktails on our nearby boat and dock on the water! Private Boat tours of the lake are also available by special arrangement with the owner.
A wood stove provides ambiance to one of the two main level living areas, with a knotty pine staircase leading above to the loft. The large loft has two bunk beds for the kids, and a sleeper sofa that sleeps two. There are two separate rooms on the main floor for entertaining, one can be used for sleeping if you have a mobility challenged guest. The main level also has a bathroom with a large walkin shower.
The two bedrooms, including the master with a lakeview are upstairs along with a full bath. Both the bath and shower have modern shower heads. The kitchen and dining areas are also located on the main floor. Of course, all of the appliances are modern and near new. We have a microwave, full size stove, oven, fridge, and washer and dryer. There is a toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, coffee grinder, and even a small food processor. The plumbing and electricity are modern and GFIC protected.
The large lakeview deck has a dining table, total seating provided for eight, an oversized umbrella, and 2 BBQs 1 propane, and a Weber kettle for the purist. Of course, the lake view goes for miles and miles, and you can stay warm outside at night by firing up the fire pit on cooler evenings.
The kids and adults too will enjoy the Restoration Hardware mini-pool table and the many dozens of movies on DVD, on the large flat screen TV.
You’ll be less than 3 miles from downtown Coeur d’Alene’s shopping, restaurants, and the Coeur d’Alene Resort, yet set in a secluded area of pines and firs, overlooking Cougar Bay’s logging pens and miles of lake views. Watch Coeur d’Alene’s famous World Class fireworks on the 4th of July and the Friday following Thanksgiving from the comfort of your own deck!
One of Coeur d’Alene’s best restaurants, The Cedars, a floating restaurant and the Yacht Club Marina is but 3 minutes away! Many others are 5 to 10 minutes away. Pick Idaho’s famous wild Huckleberries (similar to the blueberry) right on the property, and enjoy the strawberries, sunflowers, fresh herbs, vegetables, and fruits right in your garden! (deer permitting)
The property has acres of open space surrounding it, and the deer, elk, and wild turkeys roam about. This is a true getaway yet less than 5 minutes to Sherman Avenue, downtown's main street. |
