Four-season lakefront home with 5 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a boat house, located on the south shore of the channel between the Old Forge Pond and First Lake. Less than 2 miles from the center of Old Forge’s shops, restaurants, Enchanted Forest Water Safari, Thendera Golf Club, and the Adirondack Scenic Railroad.
The first floor has a living room with a wood burning fireplace, plenty of windows facing the lake, a TV, VCR, and DVD player. A spacious fully furnished kitchen and dining area, recently remodeled full bath with washer/dryer, and a bedroom containing a full size bed, round out this floor. Upstairs are four large bedrooms, 1 with a king bed, 2 with queen beds, one with 2 twin beds, and the second recently remodeled full bathroom. In the morning step out onto the large upstairs deck leading from the 2 front bedrooms, overlooking the water. (Please note: Linens not included in rental)
Enjoy the sandy bottom shallow waterfront, perfect for swimming and fishing and is very kid friendly. There is plenty of space to dock your boats in the boat house and additional boat slip. Also included is a jet ski lift. In the evening, enjoy a campfire in the outdoor fireplace or cook on the new outdoor gas grill and dine on the front deck as the sun goes down.
Access all your favorite outdoor activities right from the house or within minutes, including boating on the Fulton Chain of Lakes from Old Forge to Inlet, hiking through the woods and watching and feeding the local deer population. Just a few minutes away enjoy a picturesque hike up Bald or Bear Mountain. Blue Mountain Lake and the Adirondack Museum is 30 to 40 minutes away. The winter offers snowshoeing, downhill and cross-country skiing at McCauley Mountain, miles of groomed snowmobile trails as well as ice fishing.
