La Quinta Margarita is located just ten minutes walking distance from Patzcuaro’s Plaza de Quiroga, The Basilica and the central market. Patzcuaro is one of the most ancient and charming towns in Mexico and is rapidly overtaking San Miguel de Allende as the colonial and historical destination of choice.

Our villa is situated on top of a hill providing a magnificent view of the town and the beautiful lake of Patzcuaro. The east side of the property borders a nature preserve that has great hiking trails laden with wild flower and fruit trees.

La Quinta Margarita is flanked with patios and verandas so that you can take in the panoramic view. The entire property is beautifully decorated with local art and artifacts and has recently been renovated. The Villa comes with a caretaker and his wife that will be at your service day and night.

  • You have a beautiful place there in Patzcuaro. The family was extremely impressed with the detail of workmanship and local artisan flavor that each room displayed. It fit the family perfectly and provided a safe, comfortable and beautiful place to call "home" during our stay. We wish that we had had more time to visit more of the little towns that are nearby. My Mother-in-law even said maybe they can use your place to stay at if they come visit us in the future. It made Bill and I look as if we had searched far and wide for the perfect Quinta. Don Lupe y Dona Mari were wonderful hosts. They gave us our privacy but, were there in a moment whenever we had a question or need. Even at 6:30 in the morning one morning when we were headed out only to find the gate isn't just shut but padlocked. They are the perfect couple for that type of work, gracious and hospitable. We would highly recommend your place to anyone without reservation! Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful hacienda with us, Debbie

  • We enjoyed a wonderful 10-day family getaway at this beautiful property. It is within walking distance of the main Patzcuaro Square. The caretaker couple spoiled us, everyday started off with wonderful breakfast [must be prearranged] of fresh fruits and Chilequillas. We ate outside and had a fantastic view of valley, lake and mountains. Some great hiking near the property as well as across town at the ‘Strevo’ mountain with 365 steps at the top. One of the prettiest examples of colonial Mexico towns. People were very friendly & helpful. Great market area with all sorts of items. This is our 3rd visit and we love coming back!

  • What a beautiful Villa. The views were so amazing and the grounds were wonderful. We loved it and have already told all of our friends about this amazing hideaway in central mexico!!
