Come visit out newly added Media Room with XBox and 100 inch projection unit for your viewing pleasure. We have twoliving rooms: one for the small flat screen 50 inches or one for the big daddy (100 inch projection unit).
Our new media room opens to the screened porch that have a new brick fireplace. Brand new Master bedroom also opens up to new back deck. It's a wonderful retreat for the whole family.

Kismet is a beautiful home located in Seagrove, Florida (approx. 30 miles east of Destin). Situated in a secluded, private Grove by the Sear neighborhood, Kismet is newly decorated and has been designed to meet the vacation needs of you and your family. Enjoy a short stroll to the beach, hang out in one of the two private pools, sit quietly on the screened front porch, or enjoy the shopping and restaurants of the nearby Seaside and Watercolor resort communities.
The spacious master suite includes a king size bed, a private deck, and a master bath with a large jetted tub and walk-in marble shower. The second guest room has a private bath and queen bed. The third bedroom includes two twin bunk beds and a TV/VCR. Kismet’s kitchen is a chef’s dream, containing all stainless steel appliances, professional quality cookware, convection/conventional oven, and plenty of room to work your magic! Of course, if you prefer to eat out (it IS a vacation after all) the area is full of restaurants catering to every possible taste and price range. When the evening rolls around, gently sway on the porch swing enjoying the gulf breezes or watch a video or DVD on Kismet’s 50 inch TV or 100 inch screen in the Media room.
No matter what you choose to do while on vacation, Kismet will provide a spacious, comfortable refuge that you won’t soon forget. Kismet........it’s meant to be.

Why the Owner Chose Grove by the Sea
I've been fortunate to be able to travel throughout the United States, the Carribean and to Europe. When possible, I always make it a goal to see the beaches. I believe that the emerald coast and especially the Seagrove area are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sea oats and sugary white sand bring you to the emerald green water. It really doesn't get much better than that.
I started coming to the area in 1992 and fell in love. Being blessed with this house is a dream come true.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Riding my bike everywhere! Watching movies on the 100 inch projection screen. Walking the dogs on the beach, kayaking, walking to Modica for a morning cup of coffee, reading books on the front porch or hammock. Just relaxing with family and friends.

Growing up in Pittsburgh PA, a yearly trip to the beach was the way our family spent our summer vacations. I grew to love the ocean more and more. Now, I've finally found a peace of heaven on earth and feel so blessed. It is our dream to share the beach with friends and family... that is how Kismet was born.

The house was much larger than it looks in the pictures. Perfect 2 family home! Everything we needed & more in the house.

I can't say enough good things about Kismet. It is truly a special place. Not only is the home decorated in fun beach style, it is extremely comfortable and relaxing. I have visited many beaches and homes over my lifetime...and this one is truly the most special. The screened in front porch and swing was the venue for relaxing talks and early morning cups of coffee. The arrangement of the bedrooms and living space lends itself for a big house feel with a cottage charm. We loved it!

kismet is amazing and so comfortable. The house is not just a vacation rental but a home in a beautiful surrounding! We love love love the short walk to the beach and in to Seaside. It's wonderful to have a full day on the water then return home to cook, sit on the porch, listen to music or watch one one of many movies available then pile up in the most comfortable beds. I simply can not wait to book another vacation at Kismet. Oh, and Ms. McFarland, I adore the landscaping! thank you for a wonderful time.

Great little hide-a-way near Seaside and Watercolors. We rode our bikes everywhere. We rode our bikes to Watercolors for Yoga and stopped by Seaside for coffee every morning. It was nice to be near Seaside, but not in the middle of it all. The cottage is well stocked and very private. Thanks for sharing your beach home and we will come again. Enjoy!

Kismet is a wonderful place to stay at Seaside, Florida. We loved reading books on the swing in the screened-in porch. The house is surrounded by trees which makes it really peaceful. We also loved visiting the nearby beach and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. It felt like we were staying at a friend's house. We will definitely be repeat visitors!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We have vactioned along 30A for many years, from Rosemary to Greyton Beach. Kismet Cottage is without question our favorite spot. The house is immaculate and no detail went unnoticed. We absolutely LOVED Kismet Cottage and the neighborhood. Our girls were able to ride their bikes all the time without us feeling worried about them. The house was wonderful and really felt like home. We will definitely stay here again in the future!!
