Now offering our home here in Montecito for your family vacation. A lovely gem of a getaway in an ideal location for enjoying all that Santa Barbara and its surrounding areas have to offer. Our home offers a total of 5 bedrooms and 3 baths and provides a perfect setting for families vacationing together, a family reunion or wedding, or a quiet getaway for you and your loved ones. The home is two stories with 3 bedrooms (master bedroom, queen bed, bedroom 2, two twin beds/king converted, Bedroom 3 single bed), two baths upstairs along with the main kitchen/living area. Downstairs, you will find a separate bedroom with queen bed, with an adjoining bedroom, complete with 2 twin beds, ideal for families with young children. There is one full bath downstairs plus a large gathering/living room with flat screen TV and game tables, making the downstairs a suitable accommodation for a separate family when two families are vacationing together. All rooms freshly decorated in a comfortable Santa Barbara style. A large enclosed back yard, garden and patio offer a restful area for alfresco dining and bocce ball or badminton in the grass. Linger with a glass of wine around the fire pit...or roast marshmallows with the kids!

Kitchen upstairs comes complete with all you will need to prepare your favorite meals, and the local Farmers markets can provide the freshest in season fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood for your palette.
Nestled by a charming seasonal creek, our property is close (less than 1 mile!) to Montecito shops & restaurants, Miramar, Butterfly and East beaches and Summerland, with its Antiques shops, wine tasting and family & pet friendly beach. Downtown Santa Barbara and quaint beach town Carpinteria are just minutes away! Take a day trip up to the wine country, less than an hour's drive up the coast. Owners will happily provide recommendations for local destinations, wineries, restaurants, antiquing, shopping, Realtors (Santa Barbara is a wonderful place to live!) and so much more.
This is a private residence in a quiet Montecito neighbourhood, and as such is NOT suitable for hosting parties, wedding receptions etc. We ask that guests respect this request, and choose other accommodations for your stay.

We highly recommend this attractive, well maintained house at the end of a cul de sac in Montecito. Excellent location not far from the old Miramar Property...5 minutes to San Ysidro Village (where we had a splendid breakfast at the San Ysidro Pharmacy Coffee Shop, a favorite among locals) and 10 minutes to downtown Santa Barbara. Lot's of room, with a separate downstairs suite with it's own entertainment center...house could easily accommodate two families. Charming English style garden with planted wheelbarrow - highly appropriate as we arrived to English style fog. Not to worry, the house was warm and there's a large wood burning fire pit for S'more preparation, conversation and the like. Not much left to chance in this spacious, clean, comfortable house, and we will not soon forget the nocturnal serenade of the frogs. It reminded me of Provence and allowed us to have the most amazing weekend in Santa Barbara! Thank you, Kate and David....Great stuff! Kathy, the owner, was extremely pleasant and easy-going. The cottage is decorated beautifully, the tilework is terrific, and the yard is perfect for playing with your dog. The location is very convenient, a minute from the 101, yet very secluded, peaceful and green. We would definitely return again.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I just returned from a fabulous 6 day stay at this charming guesthouse. The cottage itself is lovely and very well appointed with all the amenities you would ever need.The pictures shown do not do it justice! The owners were very friendly and extremely accomodating but not intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this delightful cottage and the beautiful village of Montecito!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is long overdue but none the less heartfelt . . . We spent three nights in the guesthouse in May, 2008, and absolutely loved it. The house is every bit as charming as the pictures suggest. David and Kathy were wonderful hosts: warm, helpful, generous with recommendations but not "hovering." We felt very much at home and totally private. The hosts provided lovely touches -- e.g., a scented candle and bottle of (local) wine awaiting our arrival. An hour and a half away from LA but a whole world apart! I loved my week vacation at the guesthouse. It was far beyond my expectations. Kathy has an impeccable taste and I felt I was back in the South of France. Hopping on my bike in the morning to ride to the beach with my pooch was priceless. "Your cottage was magical! We were overwhelmed with how quaint and cozy everything is! The garden is absolutely enchanting, we felt like we were in our paradise. We have found our "permanent spot" in Santa Barbara. Kathy & David were wonderful hosts to such a private, secluded and gorgeous vacation place. And we could bring our dog!!! How fantastic of an experience -great location off the freeway - yet tucked away over the river and through the woods! What a great place for us to be on our wedding weekend!
