Located on the seventh floor of the prestigious Maisons sur Mer ocean front high rise on Shore Drive, our two bedroom, two bath condo features the largest floor plan in the building with 1,500 square feet of heated living area and two large covered balconies containing an additional 350 square feet of furnished outdoor living space.
Features include panoramic views of the ocean from the bright, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen with sunlit glass-walled breakfast area, formal dining room, balcony access from all rooms (excluding bathrooms), and unique room layout allowing for maximum privacy (the two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the condo). Our unit is located on the North side of the building and overlooks the pool and tennis courts in addition to having a spectacular view of the ocean.
For the comfort of our both our guests and ourselves, we rent our condo as a NON-SMOKING UNIT. For the protection of our property, HOUSE PARTIES are stictly prohibited. Renters must be families or responsible adults. At least one member of the renting party must be 25 YEARS OF AGE or older. In addition, the bylaws of our Homeowners' Association do not allow renters or guests to bring dogs, cats, or other pets onto the property.
We are proud to be owners in the Maisons sur Mer building. Long regarded to be the pre-eminent oceanfront high-rise in Myrtle Beach, Maisons sur Mer offers 24-hour security, on-site maintenance, four high-speed elevators, direct beach access, large heated pool, tennis courts (2), putting green, driving net, snack bar, and oceanfront cocktail lounge. Because only a small portion of the Maisons sur Mer condos are rental units, guests enjoy a relaxing, un-crowded atmosphere that is perfect for family vacations.
We love our Myrtle Beach condo and have tried, within our means, to make it as comfortable as possible for both guests and ourselves. We are definitely not absentee owners and operate the condo on a "zero sum gain basis", which means that all revenue in excess of expenses generated by rentals is used for further improvements to the property. From our library of books, board games, and VCR tapes to our comfortable beds, flat panel TVs, and wall-mounted hair dryers, we have given a lot of thought to equipping our condo with the extras that make it our guests' "home away from home". Included with a summer rental is the use of a beach service umbrella set (2 chairs and an umbrella) that will be set up each day by the beach lifeguard. This is a $130 value.
We offer our condo for rent on a long term basis in the winter months in addition to renting on a weekly basis per the rates quoted in this listing. The Maisons sur Mer building has a distinct residential flavor and is especially well suited to long term, off-season rentals because the units are more spacious and the floor plans more interesting than those of typical beach condos. Our long term rates vary depending on the time period desired and include linens, monthly cleaning, and departure cleaning. Why the Owner Chose Maisons-sur-MerWe began vacationing in Myrtle Beach shortly after we were married in 1973. We stayed at many different places including the old South Wind (not the multi-million dollar South Wind by the Sea), the Myrtle Beach Resort, and the Sands Ocean Club before staying for the first time at Maisons-sur-Mer in the mid eighties. We immediately fell in love with the property and never considered staying anywhere else in Myrtle Beach from that time forward. We loved the spaciousness and floorplans of the condos and the building amenities such as the 24-hour security and on-site maintenance that are truly unique to the vacation condo market. We realized our dream of owning in the building when we purchased Unit #707 in 1993.
The Unique Benefits at this CondoWe love the ocean and the beach atmosphere but also love having a place at the beach that is comfortable, furnished to our liking, and "a home away from home." We have tried to provide this combination of vacation setting and homey atmosphere for our guests.

We are Tom and Janet Levine, empty nesters from Western Pennsylvania who just turned the BIG 60. We have two grown sons, Tim - aged 33, who lives in Grove City, PA and Andy - aged 30, who lives in Brooklyn, NY. Tom is a small businessman. Janet helps Tom with his business and manages the rentals for the Maisons-sur-Mer condo, but her main passion is golf. We love the South and feel we are partially displaced Southerners because Tom's mother was born and raised in Mississippi. Tom likes to tell the story that he was quite old before he realized that Damn Yankees is two words!

We absolutely love staying at this condo. It is very clean and the views from each room are incredible. The security of the building is wonderful. The owners are very organized making the renting process extremely easy. It is a great "home away from home". I highly recommend it!

We have stayed at other condos in this building, but this has been our favorite. They truly have made improvements and thought of lots of little things that make this condo relaxing and comfortable. We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for almost 20 years. This is probably the best all around unit that we have stayed in. The condo is spacious and very well appointed. The ocean views all around and access to Maisons-sur-Mer amenities were really great. Loved the beach chairs (not having to carry our chairs and umbrella), was a real bonus. Our son loved fishing from Apache Pier, and my mom loved her morning breakfast from the balcony. We hope to have the opportunity to return. Thank you Janet and Tom.

Easy chech in procedure with priviledge parking under in the garage. This 24 story high rise is magnificant, the unit is furnished with tons of extras (including books, special musical CD's, a local atlas map, and even coffee cream...) This seventh floor condo is a perfect height for watching a sunrise and long range views up the coastline. The owners and building support personnel that we met were exceptionally polite and friendly. Our stay during the Christmas Holidays couldn't have been more pleasant as we celebrated our 44th anniversary with temperatures rising up to the 60's by the end of the week. Location wise, its convenient to most all that Myrtle Beach has to offer.
Owner response:A little clarity is needed with regard to parking because we do not want anyone to be misled. We do not typically include access to the underground parking because we have a very limited number of garage accesss cards. There is ample off-street parking, however, on the parking decks which surround the building. Because Sid and Nancy visited during a period of very low occupancy, we were able to include a garage access card with their check-in materials. Also, we do not supply coffee creamer. What Sid and Nancy used had most likely been left by a previous guest.

This was one of the best vacation weeks my friends and I have spent together in quite a while. The condo is luxiourious yet so comfortable. The amenities are unbelievable, right down to the toaster. There is something for everyone to do, either as a group or enjoying a little private time on one of the balconies or just taking in a movie in your bedroom. The condo and the grounds are well-kept and the staff is very accomodating. The rental process was certainly one of the easiest we've experienced. The Levines make sure you are walking into a very relaxing time, right down to suggestions of some excellent restaurants which were right on the money. This was our first vacation in Myrtle Beach, and the weather was beautiful each day. Although it was only in the upper 60s/ low 70's the sun warmed us up each day. When we left home, in Northeast Ohio, we had snow showers. The closer we got to S.C. the temperatures kept going up. When we entered the condo, we were floored. Such gorgeous, stunning accomodations and floor plan. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. We got up each morning, took our breakfast out on the balcony and enjoyed the warm sun and the waves crashing on the beach. It was pretty cool watching the tide rise and fall during the day. Because this was not a "vacation condo building" it was quieter and much more relaxed. No crazy, wild people partying and getting drunk and being rude. The tenants in the building were very polite and helpful. The beds were totally outstanding. I thought OUR beds at home were ultra comfortable - wow, these were even better. Having WiFi availability was the frosting on the cake. We were able to check out attractions and restaurant menus, locations, even prices. We LOVED this condo as much as our own home, and that's saying a lot. They thought of everything - right down to a nightlight in the bathroom, so you don't have to turn on the bright lights in the middle of the night if you have to go. Obviously, we didn't have to use the ones we brought. Having those huge flat screen tv's in each room was another bonus. We couldn't find a single thing wrong with this condo, and that's the ultimate compliment!

We've been staying at the Maisons-sur-Mer for the last 12 years and on Shore Drive many years before that. Once we found unit 707 we've stayed in it and planned our trips around its availability. The unit is so comfortable, clean and well equipped that you can just walk in and feel relaxed like you've just arrived at home. The Levines have a good system for reservations and keys. The views are great from both balconies and it's wonderful to get up and watch the sunrise. We've been there during some bad beach weather but with all the books and games that are available even staying in was enjoyable.

We’re from Cincinnati and coming to 707 Maison sur Mer is like coming home again each time we visit. The unit is kept up to date with the most modern amenities. What is most important to our family is that the unit is CLEAN. That is always true of 707. No one wants to go on vacation and stay in a place that it not clean. It’s never a worry for us. The Levines do a wonderful job of selecting the best staff to keep 707 clean. We have had relatives stay in other units in Maison and to us there is no comparison. It’s understood that if we are coming to Myrtle Beach for vacation, we’re staying at 707. But, the absolute best part of 707 is the view. It is truly breathtaking. You can see the calming ocean 24x7 from a spacious balcony where you can dine, nap, or entertain. It’s wonderful. Best place to stay in Mrytle!
