  Our family of 5 adults and a toddler just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay in this cottage. So much nicer than staying in a hotel. We especially enjoyed the lanai. The location is perfect.....a short walk to a beautiful beach and a short drive to Lahaina. The cottage and the grounds are very well maintained. Jennifer was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Maui.

  We spent two weeks with another couple at this warm, inviting property and would be happy to return. It was very clean and comfortable, nicely upgraded yet still held a feel of being at the cottage for a vacation. The landscape all over the ground is stunning with flowers bursting everywhere. The pool is very clean and inviting. We would be excited to return to that property for another Hawaiian vacation and highly recommend it to others who are looking for a slice of old Hawaii. Delightful.

  When we arrived on the 16th for 2 weeks, everything was as hoped for and more! The place is even better than the pictures and we thought the pictures looked great! Staying here you have the comforts of home! We would never even think of staying in a hotel again. We would have breakfast at home every morning and it enjoy it on the lanai. The lanai has a view of the ocean and hearing the sounds of the birds and being able to enjoy the beautiful grounds of the complex was a plus. The pool being right outside the cottage was great. Our 4 year old son and 21 year old daughter and her friend lived in there when we were not elsewhere. Noise was never an issue and it was rare that there were other families at the pool. The amenities at the cottage were great. We had a BBQ to use which we did at least 3 times in the 2 weeks. There was a storage container on the lanai with snorkel sets, beach chairs, beach toys, boogies boards, etc. There were also towels for the beach, internet and many other items. We will definitely be back. We would like to thank the owner. She was so prompt and fantastic to deal with. Thank you so much and we look forward to returning!

  This was my 6th trip to the islands and my second to Maui and I have stayed in everything from a youth hostel to luxury resort but Jennifer's cottage was by far my favorite. The cottage and the surrounding grounds are just beautiful and have EVERYTHING you could possibly want out of a vacation cottage. On our second night I found myself checking the VRBO calendar to see when I could book it again for a longer stay! Locally we used Lahaina divers for a dive trip to Molikini and Turtle Reef and they were great both in the store and on the dive boat. The shaved ice, farmers market, and hot dog stand on the corner became a favorite stop after a day on Kaanapali Beach. We packed up the rental car each day with the chairs and coolers provided and our gear and drove across the highway to the great little park and Kaanapali Beach. Terrific snorkeling, lots of Honus ! For eats we loved Aloha Mixed Plate and you can't beat Teddy's Bigger Burgers for a great burger. The Old Lahaina Luau was fabulous and I was very resistant about going thinking that it was just too "touristy" for me but I had to eat those words along with the great food at the luau. On my birthday we did the Haleakala Sunrise Bike ride with Haleakala Bike Company-it was a bucket list experience and I simply can't recommend it enough. This was the best trip ever and it was a joy to wake up every morning to the songs of the island birds and to come home each night to the comforts of this wonderful cottage. Thank you Jennifer for creating a truly island home away from home. Can't wait to go back!! Mahalo.

  What a dreamy cottage!!! My girlfriend and I recently returned from our ten day trip to Maui and were so impressed with our accomodations, we never wanted to leave. We felt right at home in this beautifully decorated, fully furnished home and extremely well maintained. The location could not have been more convenient to shopping, the beaches and of course the pool, which was only steps away. We would spend many hours out on the lanai capturing the beauty of the flowers, trees and the awesome sunsets. There is even a lime tree on the property. The cottage was very spacious and airy and there are plenty of ceiling fans to keep you cool if needed. Words just cannot describe how awesome this place is! This vacation was a reunion for my childhood friend and I who hadn't seen each other in 36 years and we could not have chosen a more appropriate place to stay and share this Hawaiian adventure together. This place is a must stay for anyone considering a trip to Maui!!!!!

  My partner and I and her 17 and 19 year old boys just returned from a 12 day sta. We were so impressed with this unit; it was more than we expected. Although close to the pool noise was never a problem as pool hours are 9 to 9. It appeared residents and guests in the development are more mature and there were never more than about six people at one time around the pool - always lots of chaise lounges and chairs available. There is a small covered area and tables at the pool so there is a place to read, play cards, crib etc. The unit was better than described and is great for a family, two couples or group of gals or guys. For just a couple it is a little large; unless you want lots of room! The rental arrangements went really smoothly with Jennifer and was done mostly by email. The covered lanai and BBQ were used a lot and gave shelter when it rained during our stay. Lots of beach toys including four pair of fins, two boogie boards, two beach chairs, kids plastic buckets and shovels and beach bag. Also, two coolers, two tennis racquets, portable fans in bedrooms. We were a little concerned re: no A/C, but were never too hot. All windows are louvered so just open up, turn on ceiling fans and it is very comfortable. Temp during our stay was around the 25C or 77F mark in the late afternoon. Great stacked washer/dryer with detergent provided (bottle ran out while we were there so bought a new one) Kitchen dishes, pots, pans, utensils etc all good - did not feel anything missing. This is not a resort, so there are no activities for kids, but there is the pool and the beach is close by. There is a private gym nearby where you can buy a weekly pass. You really need a car and there are surfing beaches a short drive away at Kapalua. Heartily recommend this unit to anyone - you will certainly enjoy it!!

  Like another reviewer I am finally posting a review after staying here for years. We have stayed at the International Colony Club (ICC) for each of our Maui visits in the last 15 years; at this cottage for the last five or six times (before and after the major remodel that was done a few years back). We love the location of this unit since it is right in the middle of the northern half of ICC, right above the pool. The area is usually very quiet since most of the homes here are second homes and often sit unoccupied. This unit is away from the roads so you don't hear people gunning their engines going up the hill like you do in units that are next to the road on the north side. A pool is right out the front door and often it seems like a private pool since more often than not there is nobody at the pool. The cottage is comfortable and pleasant with lots of windows in the main room, beautiful tile work, granite counter tops, quality cabinetry and is tastefully decorated. We spend hours every day under the shade of the covered lanai. In fact, we eat most meals on the lanai and the dining table inside is used more to collect whatever we unload when we come in the door. Don't worry about the lack of air conditioning unless you are completely dependent on living in a 70 degree chill. Most days top out in the middle 80s and the daily winds helped by the insulated roof keeps the interior from getting any warmer than the outside air. Note, however, like most couch hideaway beds, the one in this cottage is not usable by anyone other than small children. The couch is a tolerable bed (without taking out the hideaway) if you need it. All of west Maui is within a short walk or drive. Our typical routine is to take an early morning walk by the railroad tracks down to Whaler's village, then take the boardwalk/sidewalk back up the beach and return to the cottage to get ourselves ready for whatever we decide is our destination for the day. There are fabulous beaches all within a short drive, but the beach below ICC is a great beach so there is no need to drive unless you want a change of scenery. In the afternoon we usually wind down by the pool before setting off to Lahaina or Whaler's Village for a good meal and some window shopping. Of course we always pause to take in the consistently beautiful sunsets of west Maui. I highly recommend this unit for anyone facing the prospect of renting multiple hotel rooms to accomodate a family.

  My husband and I have been staying at this beautiful cottage for over 15 years. We stay for two weeks in January. It is so wonderful to walk in the door, we feell like we are home. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the pool is steps away. The cottage has everything you need . For a few nights we have dinner in and enjoy the beautiful sunset. The peace and quite is exactly what we need after the holidays.We highly recommend this cottage.

  After about eight to ten visits to this cottage, I thought I should write a review. My family and I simply love the cottage and its location. My husband and I come with our grown children almost every year and wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is easy walking distance to one of the best beach snorkel areas around and if you walk to the left, one of the best swim beaches around. A nice beach walk to Whaler's village and short drive to all the conveniences and Lahaina, The ambience is wonderful and the cottage is modern, light and beautiful. Once you visit this Maui cottage, you are drawn to return because it was so awesome. We love Captain's Steve's day trip to Lanaii, the Paragon day drip to Lanaii, the aquarium and hanging at the beach. The owner provides great customer service and the property is clean and well maintained. I do recommend this property to all my friend.

  Book with confidence, friends......this beach cottage was perfect for us (4 teacher gal pals on spring break). Clean, equipped with everything you'd need, so you can pack light: hair dryers, sunblock, beach chairs, boogie boards, masks, beach towels. etc. We stayed March 14-21, 2011. Was worried about no A/C....didn't need it one bit....cool breezy nights and mild days....Cottage over looks pool and beyond that, the lovely ocean in view.....We all agreed it was the best cottage in the complex! Would book again and highy recommend it to anyone, it will make your Maui stay all the more enjoyable.
