We are visiting from Philadelphia, PA. It is the first weekend in May 2009. It has rained almost constantly but being British it really did not matter. We tried to do sights and managed most depite wet feet, clothes etc. We did not wander far for dinner and tried French On The Corner fown the hill. Had a lovely dinner. We have stayed in self catering at Squaw Creek and then Yosemite. This listing is a good location, clean and modern. Things that would make her better are toaster; broiler takes forever. Hairdryer would have been useful with constant rain and a kettle. All other accomodations had all three above and felt you could too. On a rainy Saturday we went to Sausilito and it is worth a visit. Lots of small cafes and shops and I suppose great views when not raining. Closest parking is one block located at Washington St. at Jones St. at a rate of $20 for 24 hours.

Had lots of fun. Loved the cable cars. Found lots of great pieces of art. Check out the Martin Lawrence Art Gallery by the cable car turnaround on Fisherman's Wharf. The Russian Hill Deli (out the door, turn right) down the hill one block was great, really good sandwiches. The weather was wonderful. We'll come back same time next year. Recommend to take the city sight seeing tour, 3 hours, right away just to get acquainted with the city layout. Do not buy tickets from the ticket both. They sell time shares and they are high pressure. Buy the tickets directly from the sight seeing office, behind Boudin's Bakery. Oh, Boudin's was great, too. Thanks for the use of the studio. Met our needs. See you next time.

We found the place to be very clean with all necessary kitchen utensils etc. Also, this is a very central location and if you are up to it, you can pretty much walk to any location downtown. Beware though as the hills are steep. Polk Street has a whole heap of good cafe's and restaurants and is within walking distance. There is also a corner market on Jones Street at Pacific Avenue that has all the food and groceries you need. The owner is also very friendly. All up, a great place and we'll definitely come back to stay. We have just returned to Australia this morning and I really wanted to let you know personally how impressed we were with this property. Prior to San Francisco, we were in Hawaii staying in an apartment which I had also found through VRBO. The actual standard and cleanliness of the Hawaii accommodation did not live up to the information and photos on VRBO (and I am still chasing the refund of my security deposit!). It placed a lot of doubt about what to expect for the other apartments I had booked through VRBO for our holiday. It was a pleasure to arrive in San Francisico and open the door to a clean modern apartment with clean towels and clean sheets on the bed. The information and photos on VRBO were a true representation of the property. And then to see that the security deposit had already been refunded by the time we got home without having to follow it up was a bonus! This experience has been effortless on our part. Thank you so much for the professional service you have provided. Many thanks, Erika and Carl

Had a wonderful time. The bike ride to Tiburon was fantastic. The studio was comfortable. By the time we came in from the city every evening, all we wanted was a shower, a meal, a T.V. and a bed. It met all those needs. One suggestion is if maybe a small fan could be added for those days the breeze through the windows just isn't enough. Most nights we slept with the windows open. It can get a bit noisy but not to bad. Overall it was a great place.

Stew and Wendy stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the studio apartment. We discovered some neighborhood gems for others to share. If you go out the front door, turn left, go to the end of the block, there is a great French restaurant called Rue St. Jaques. If you go out the front door and turn right, cross the street and walk two blocks you'll come to the 'Nook' on your right hand side. Excellent lattes, wonderful breakfast, lunch and lots of organic dishes. Opposite corner is a good market.

Very nice cozy studio. It certainly met our needs. To make our stay even better, the following items would have been nice to have: toaster, bowls, kleenex, garbage bags, iron and inexpensive plastic containers for leftovers. Grocery Stores - Close by small stores are expensive. Beware. To Future Guests: We really love San Francisco. Part of the City's charm is the Cable Cars. Be sure to ride them (you do get used to the clanging charm). Buy a 3 day pass for $18.00, a 1 day pass for $11.00 or one ride for $5.00. We loved learning about the city from two double decker bus trips. Be sure to wear heavy jackets if you sit on top. One of our favorite places was Boudins....yum. The aroma of the fresh baked sourdough bread is soooo great! The taste with clam chowder can not be beat. Great Restaurants: Scoma's - Fisherman's Wharf Hunan Homes Restaurant - Good and not really expensive. Boudins Caffe Macaroni Sciue-Sciue - Little Italy - Excellent non touristy and not too pricey. Get free chocolate samples at Ghirardelli Square. The peanut butter chocolate are to die for. Favorite Sites: Alcatraz - Though very eerie! Union Street Shops Loved the jazz festival and street fair on Filmore St. Pier 39 (be sure to see the sea lions) Boudins - I know, I already mentioned the bread factory restaurant twice. Victorian Houses Lombard Street (the crooked street) Muir Woods & Wine Country bus tours Walking up hill was a killer but then we probably walked off all that food and wine. Loved the City! Owner Response: Extra garbage bags and kleenex are now provided items.

We arrived after about 40 hours of traveling from Australia. It was lovely to find our first accommodation, after leaving home, which felt like a home of its own. Discovered the San Francisco wind (rather cold) but fell in love with the city. We wondered San Francisco for 10 days recovering from jet lag and acclimating to the USA. We recommend local supermarkets at Leavenworth St. and Clay St. or further afield Lafayette Park. We did all the usual activities, the bridge, the bikes, Alcatraz, cable cars (the museum free and fun) and had an absolute ball. Went for trips on the buses which was cheap and easy once we had the Muni map. We went to the Mosaic Steps at 16th Avenue then up the steps to Grand View Park which really does live up to its name! Loved everything about the studio and got used to the dinging of the cable cars (apparently it is playing a tune!). For the owners we loved it. Two additions would be great. A dish rack and a chopping board. But this was truly a dream start to our 3 month holiday. Thanks Again. Owner Response: A chopping board is provided (located in the drawer below the oven) and a dish rack has been added to the kitchenware.
