A great family home in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the world-famous Cliff Walk, Tennis Hall of Fame, Easton's Beach, Salve Regina University, mansions and shopping on Bellevue Avenue.
Walk around the corner for restaurants, Coldstone's Ice Cream, supermarket, health food store, bakery, liquor store and drug store. Walk downtown to the many shops, fine restaurants and activities on Newport's beautiful waterfront. Or just stay "home" and relax in a comfortable rocking chair on the front porch or on the hammock in our private hedged backyard.
This is a well-loved home built by our grandfather and kept in our family since 1920. Our location is near enough to all "the action", yet far enough away to be relaxing.The 4 bedroom (1 queen, 2 full, 1 twin) house is fully furnished , so just pack your bags, make yourself at home and enjoy all that Newport has to offer!

This is a fantastic rental in a perfect location. We were travelling with two small children and to not have to worry about bringing a packnplay or high chair was great - it was all there! The house fit us all comfortably and having the two bathrooms was a bonus!! It slept the 7 of us really well and there was plenty of room around the dining table for meals or a game of cards! We enjoyed walking the cliffs and down to the beach, not to mention down to the local store for the morning paper. Being able to walk everywhere was a great way to avoid those summer parking meters! Also great to dash down to get icecreams at ColdStone after dinner! And for some mexican we'd recommend Perro Salado - fantastic avocado fries!! We have stayed here several times in the past and its great to be somewhere familiar. The house has recently had a new coat of paint, shingling and the porch has been replaced as well... It's great to see the owners are keeping it well maintained and up to date. We loved sitting on the front porch watching the world go by! Would recommend this to anyone and everyone for a great place to stay!

What a great house! The house has great charm and personality. We loved the location. Especially close to the beach and cliff walk. Also close to the mansions. About a 20 minute walk to town, however, we chose to drive. We loved the house. Plenty of room and really enjoyed spending time on the front porch. It was great to have plenty of room to park and had a very tame rabbit in the backyard. I would and have already recommended the house to others. It was so much fun to be together and be able to relax instead of being stuck in some hotel room or lobby. The beds slept great!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing your house with us. Make sure you go out to Fort Adams. The view of Newport from there is great! Also would recommend a sunset cruise.

Our family has used this rental many times over the last 7 years for reunions, birthdays, anniversaries. The house is an easy walk to library, shopping, food, & restaurants as advertised. The Cliffwalk and 1st beach is a short walk downhill. The photos were accurate. We enjoyed the wireless connection and the fact that the attic has childrens furniture needs for the younger set. Lots of beach gear in basement and garage. It is a well stocked house for vacationing by the sea. We even left a golf bag in the garage so we could bring our clubs and play golf in Jamestown as we plan to return often. Hope to use the house again this year. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating was last year the cleaning person didn't do her job. I'm sure the owner has remedied that. It's a lovely, family friendly house on a busy street with no fenced yard; but a front porch that can contain small children. The children in our party ranged from 6 to 18 mos. We love Lucias on Thames and The Mooring. We are beachwalkers so love 1st and 2nd beach as well. We buy the Newport Diner Club card before we arrive and so get two for one at many fine restaurants. I would recommend this house to my friends and family.
