Best place to stay - 2nd year in a row!!!!

We just spent a week in paradise at the penthouse condo. The rooms are immaculate, the housekeeper is wonderful and her cooking is the best! Imagine laying in a hammock, sipping coffee in the morning, and reading your book. The ocean is just steps away and the sound of the waves and the birds lull you back to sleep. The private infinity pool is 1 flight up with plenty of lounge chairs for sunning. We took our margaritas and beers upstairs many times to relax after a day of diving. The owner is very responsive to any questions and provides a list of any dive, restaurant, car rental etc contact you'll need for you and your family and friends to experience the same wonderful week that we did.

Absolutely Perfect!

Date of Stay: 05/02/11 Review Submitted: 05/17/11

After weeks of researching VRBO for the perfect condo for our first trip to Cozumel, we came across the ad for Palati Mou, and our search was over! The penthouse is huge, immaculate, beautiful, airy, and serene. Comfy beds, US phone service, wifi internet, beautiful murals, TV service with US channels, hammocks, canopy beds, private swimming pool on huge rooftop deck, great view of the ocean, can walk the beach to beach clubs, etc. etc. Residencias Reef has a laid-back resort feel to it with 2 nice pools, one with a great ocean view. Also, many loungers on the wide beach with several palapas for shade. A rental car is necessary for trips to the wild east side, grocery store and restaurants in town but Cozumel island should be explored!! Shirley was great to work with and we could not have been happier with our choice of condos for our first trip to the beautiful Caribbean Island of Cozumel!!

Owner response:It is always a pleasure to hear the wonderful comments from the guests who select our Cozumel Vacation Rental, when there are so many other properties to choose from on the island. Other travelers appreciate our guest perspective as well. Our penthouse is the only rental at the Residencias Reef with it's own private pool on the roof-top and because it has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, most travelers searching for a property for two guests don't think it's possible for them to rent this one unless traveling with a large group. We rent this property to small groups of 2 guests to keep it occupied and our private staff busy year round. From May through December we offer very comfortable rates for small groups of travelers and during the high season and last minute we often will put specials on our site to be sure the property remains booked at all times. Thank you for staying with us, and for your wonderful comments. We look forward to being able to continue to provide a wonderful place in paridise for our guests for years to come.

High stress relief spot

Guest: Kerry (Springfield, MA)
Date of Stay: 04/23/11 Review Submitted: 05/28/11

Most of the eight of us have had or currently have high stress jobs. The chance to unite us from New York, Massachusetts and California was just too precious to pass up and having won a free week (less the cost of the raffle tickets), it had to be done! We got there first, so we got all the wows out of our system until the other six showed up with another chorus of wows. The pictures DO NOT do the place justice! The views are great, the breezes wonderful, the place is immaculate and well appointed. The lap pool on the roof was well used, as were the two pools on the property. Another 30 second walk gets you to a private beach that belongs to the condo complex and comes complete with chairs and palapas (those wonderful thatch thingies that are great on Mexican beaches). Being about 20 minutes out of the main town, you are away from the craziness of the cruise ships and sunburned tourists. After they leave in the evening, you can have a lovely dinner in town. The luxury of having our own place to cook and drink was fabulous, as there are some great cooks among us and even better eaters. Having a really good store in town meant that we had access to every kind of food and wine we could have wanted. We treated ourselves on our last night with Emily the Gourmet Chef, who, along with her almost husband Pawel, fed us and waited on us until we were almost comatose with pleasure. And can I also say that the owner Shirley leaves you SO well taken care of and informed. If you don't know where to eat, snorkel, or otherwise entertain yourself, it is your own fault! Everyone on the property is friendly and helpful, and especially Gennie, who does the housekeeping. She also makes a mean guacamole and pico de gallo. Don't pass this place up!

A Great Time Was Had By All

Guest: Denise (Overland Park, KS)
Date of Stay: 02/19/11 Review Submitted: 03/25/11

A group of 4 couples stayed at the penthouse for a week in mid-February, 2011 and we could not have asked for a more pleasure filled vacation. The condo is beautiful and well kept by the owner and her wonderfully loyal staff. We could not have been made to feel more welcome nor more well cared for. Cleaning staff came in every day but Sunday. A cook was at our disposal to fix any meal we wished. A dive master was on hand to arrange snorkeling and scuba diving trips which we often combined. We had several scuba divers in our group along with others who only wanted to snorkel and to stay togethet was a real treat! The owner is a dream. She is very hands on and communicates regularly with the staff to make sure everything runs smoothly. She was always an email away for any questions before, during, and after our trip. The rooftop pool and deck are a real plus for a lazy day spent relaxing in the sun! We have already reserved a week at the penthouse for next year and you will too after you've stayed there once!

Owner response:Dear Guests, To read your review of our staff, service and accommodations brings our vision and mission to life. We rent homes ourselves all the time, all over the world through VRBO and Homeaway and we are committed to ensuring our guests have one of their best vacations ever under our watch! It is fulfilling for all of us to know that the effort we place into being sure the vacation you are so deserving of has exceeded your expectations. Time flys when your having fun, so having the appropriate contacts at your disposal during your stay to get "it" done, is a must... We'd also like to thank all of you for being such wonderful guests. Our staff alerts us on a regular basis who they would like to have as a return guests, and we were well aware of what wonderful guests you were before you left the island!!! Thank you for reserving both of our properties for your group next year! We look forward to being your hosts. Have a wonderful spring and summer!

I almost hate to tell people about this place

Guest: Kip (Colorado)
Date of Stay: 12/16/10 Review Submitted: 01/04/11

Usually when I find a good place I do not share it and want to be slefish so the next time I return I have a better chance of getting a time slot. This place is marvelous. From booking and receipt of info to departure it was an excellent experience. The owner is very well organizaed and customer focused. The lady that cleaned up was very accomodating and friendly. This penthouse is perfect for families that have children above about 7 years of age. The condo is immaculate, clean, and spacious. The views are spectacular. The property is quiet and private and one feels very comfortable from the time you park your car. (you should rent a car while you are there). Please consider this property as an alternative if you are planning a stay in Cozumel. You will not be disappointed.

Owner response:Wow, thank you! It's always nice when travelers take the time to compliment the attention to detail we pay to keeping our vacation home in the best possible order. And I appreciate knowing that the service with regard to the transaction and knowledge about the island is equally pleasant. We chose this location because of the good feeling you describe as you enter the grounds, the peacefulness and of course the views. The condo association staff at the enterance is very warm and welcoming and make you feel like you belong the minute you arrive. We also employ our own staff on the island to care for our properties instead of using a property management company where the housekeepers change daily. We treat the staff well, and in turn, they treat the property to our expectations and our guests like family. Our staff has been with us now for over three years, they too are like family. We love to travel and rent homes all the time online so we know exactly what guests are looking for when renting a vacation property and try our best to provide everything we can think of for guests to have a memorable experience. Thank you again for taking the time to give us your thoughts it is very helpful for other travelers to make a decision. We welcome you, your family and friends again in the future and will do our best to offer you our repeat guest special rate!

Everything was amazing. Even if you never leave the roof top endless pool, you will have the most wonderful time. The views are beautiful from the condo. Everything on the property is so well taken care of. You will definitely want to have a car to get to and from town if you plan to venture out. The owner provides you everything you will ever need, including recommendations for local restaurants, shops and master divers. You will have all of the information at your fingertips to feel right at home. And the color of the water around the island, breathtaking.

Date of Stay: 03/06/10 Review Submitted: 05/04/10

From the moment we arrived it was like we were home! There were 9 of us on the trip, 2 families along with a couple of friends of the teenage and 20 year old kids in the group. Everyone had all the room they need if they wanted to get away, plus there was never a wait due to not enough bathrooms. Everyone was amazed at the home. It was more than just beautiful, as I said it also made you feel at home. This was our first trip to the island and we searched through many homes and sites listing vacation homes. Shirl and Steve were always helpful and willing to assist and answer any questions we had! Their representation of the home was somewhat misleading, IT WAS EVEN MORE WONDERFUL THAN DESCRIBED! Reyna is an unbelievable lady that was there every day, always with a smile and willing to help in any way she could. She prepared meals for us that were absolutely wonderful! The lady is a jewel and made our stay even more fantastic than we could imagine! The home was far enough away from town to not have people on top of you but there were still many things to do with just a short stroll down the beach. All who were on the trip couldn't believe the week was up as soon as it was. We are already planning another trip to Cozumel in 2011 and have no need to search for that one place that is PERFECT, we have found it!

Look no furthur!!! This is the place! Imagine yourself on your private rooftop looking out at the blue water while your private lap pool awaits. We are well traveled and this was the best place we ever stayed. Beautifully decorated throughout, with all amenities and more...Well manicured grounds with two pools . Ocean front on beautiful beach great for long walks. Watersports, massage, beach bar ect . next to condo. Owners are very accomodating , making sure all is well with your stay. The housekeeper makes you feel at home, very sweet . She made fajitas for us (the best we ever tasted) Cozumel people are very friendly and hospitable. TRUST ME, IF YOU CHOOSE TO STAY AT THIS BEAUTIFUL CONDO YOU WILL GO BACK. WE ARE!!!

Owner response:Thank you for sending us your online comments! We are blessed to be able to share this beautiful home with those who wish to travel to Cozumel. And, we are equally blessed to have found Reyna, the wonderful woman who takes care of our properties on the island with so much care and attention to detail to keep them sparkeling. We found a gem when we purchased our properties at the Residencias, the staff who takes care of the grounds also treats the exterior as if they own it, and the guests like family. We couldn't have bought into a better Association and it's refreshing to know that our guests value the same things we do in our vacation rental property. We appreciate you sharing your delight on your Cozumel vacation with us, both Steve and I are honored to assist you with your next adventure through our expertise and experience with the Greek Islands. We look forward to speaking with you about it!!! Our best personal regards, Shirl & Steve

Senorita Teresa Amherst, MA USA I have vacationed to "Palati Mou in Cozumel Mexico three times and have yet to be disapointed. The entire process is one of ease and it all begins with the owners. These owners have a great relationship with a variety of vendors on the island which is extremely helpful when setting up activities such as the boat that will pick you up in front of the property for diving, snorkeling or fishing. My favorite is the mariachi band that you can hire to serenade your private party on "Palatis" roof-top solarium. The entire property is kept in pristine condition and the service of the house manager Reyna is exemplary. The Decor is tasteful as it sports multiple murals, which I have since discovered were painted by a local artist. The views are astonishing as each room has its own outlook on the beautiful scenery. The beaches are beautiful and fun to explore, and the island is surrounded by reef, some the best in the world for diving and snorkeling. Kiteboarding is also a sport of the island for the more adventurous due to the changing winds. I highly recommend renting a car to explore the island, it is easy to get around even without my navigation system! My favorite restaurants are those located downtown near the town square which are recommended by the owners. This past trip I took my mom for her 60th birthday. She enjoyed the hospitality of the Mexican people, immaculate surroundings of the penthouse along with lounging around the private lap pool on the roof-top. She wandered around the grounds of the property and walked the beach in the wee hours of the morning while the rest of us slept in. The island is perfect if you want all kinds of activities and adventure and this property is perfect if you choose to rest and relax, it is so comfortable that you don't even need to venture out! Palati Mou is an ideal destination as it allows you to experience the best of Cozumel in complete comfort and style. I highly recommend it and plan to return again soon! It really doesn't get any better than this vacation in paradise!

I am 84 years old and my daughter insisted she take my wife and on a trip out of the country. I was ready to go in an instant, but my wife having not ever really traveled was very reluctant. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of this home!!! The property was so well kept, my wife was instantly comfortable. The first thing she did was check under the beds for dust, having found none, she immediately began to unpack. I was glowing to know that from the moment of our arrival the home passed her white glove test! There were 8 of us, and there was so much room in this penthouse of 5000 square feet! We enjoyed seeing the kids participate with island activities, while we walked the beach, enjoyed the bands that played a few hotels down on the beach where we could ballroom dance. We spent hours upstairs on the private patio with the pool watching the beautiful blue waters of the sea change so many different colors, watching the sunset and putting on the music to dance while the sun was setting...we were in heaven! One night we even had a show of dolphins jumping for several minutes from up there. The house manager Reyna who arrives everyday was an absolutely wonderful woman. She cleaned everything everyday with a smile that warmed your heart. The home was so comfortable that we really didn't want to leave, the views were fantastic, the grounds were so well kept and the beaches that surround this property are really all you need when you are 84 and 80 years old. We went in town shopping a few times. We snuck away a few times, took a cab in and out of town. Of course the kids freaked when they couldn't find us, but they got use to it and it was fun to remember the times they made us go off the deep end...we were like a couple of kids ourselves. I never thought I'd have a passport or even have the opportunity to travel and now I know this is just the beginning! The restaurants in town were great, we went to a few of them twice and then ran into one of the waiters while shopping and he remembered us! Everyone on this island made us feel right at home. The people are poor, but very kind and graceful and we just can't say enough about this experience. We hope to be able to continue to travel and would be more than willing to go back to this home for another vacation in paradise. We recommend this property for everyone we were abke to enjoy our whole family on this vacation!

Fabulous Penthouse - can't get better than this!

Ladies and gentlemen, I have just spent the last 40 minutes doing my review only to lose it - so here it is in brief. Condo - too fabulous for words - pictures on web-site do not do it justice - the view is "to die for". I used all the superlatives I could think of in my "lost" review. We felt like rock stars staying here. There were six of us, lots of room and privacy, somehow felt immediately at home. For the cooks, a home away from home - very easy to self cater. The kitchen was more than well equipped - it was great! Residencias - immaculate grounds, pools, everything. Just simply gorgeous. Right on the splotless beach with the bluest ocean on the planet - not kidding! Diving - world class - and depending on what dive outfit you are diving with - you can be picked up from the dock two minutes walk away from your bedroom. There is only one thing wrong with this condo - I'M NOT LIVING THERE!! My husband and I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world. I can without reservation recommend this property - it is really lovely.

Palati Mou is a perfect place for a Vacation either with family or a group of friends. I have stayed in the penthouse twice now and both times have been wonderful. First....dealing with the owners of the property is like dealing with old friends, they are so eager to share the love they have for the Island with their quests. They have spent significant amounts of time on the island and readily share information about great places to eat, snorkeling spots, who to scuba dive with, etc, etc.......If you have a question about the Island they will find you an answer. The property is located in a beautiful, tranquil location with gorgeous landscaping and ocean views. It is a short distance from the city of San Miguel, far enough away that you have all of the peace and quiet you could ask for, but close enough so that you can get into town for a bite to eat or some shopping in less that 15 minutes. You will definitely want to rent a car. The owners suggest Carmen at Thrifty, she is great to work with. The beach is within short walking distance from the penthouse, and although there are numerous places to snorkel on the island, the snorkeling off the beach in front of Palati Mou is awesome. The penthouse is spacious, well furnished, beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. The bedrooms all have private baths so you can always have privacy. The large kitchen and living area, as well as the wrap around balcony and rooftop solarium (which by the way has a private lap pool) are great for gathering up everyone for a party, a great meal or just kicking back and watching an amazing sunset. The property manager (Reyna) is always available to see after every detail and keeps the penthouse clean and in order throughout you stay. She is wonderful, so friendly, willing to help with anything. She helped us buy some fresh fish and also made Pico and guacamole (delicious). Thanks Shirl and Steve for the great memories my family has of your wonderful Palati Mou. We plan on returning again and again.

Date of Stay: 07/25/09 Review Submitted: 03/24/10

What a wonderful memory and what a wonderful villa! We surprised our family by deciding to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and inviting our family and friends to help us celebrate this special occasion. We searched for quite a while to find the right location that could accomodate our group and we are so happy that we selected this villa and Cozumel, Mexico for our trip. We could not have chosen a more beautiful place . Reyna, our housekeeper was fantastic, the villa was clean and immaculately maintained. We had all the comforts of home and thoroughly enjoyed our week in beautiful Cozumel. We were advised to rent a car (which we may not have done) and we are so glad we did. We got to see many parts of the island that we would have never seen by taxi. All the recommendations were excellent regarding restaurants (there is a 3-ring binder notebook in the kitchen with great recommendations) and other fun things to do. We did snorkeling, hit the town for shopping and even took some of the group (golfers) to Cozumell Coutry Club for a round of golf. Our children and their friends ranged in ages from 33 to 21including our grandson of 1-1/2 years and our stay was fantastic for all. Everyone had such a great time and these memories will last a lifetime. Our trip was made even more pleasant and enjoyable by the wonderful staff and owners. We hope to return again to paradise better known as "Cozumel by the Sea"! Thank you for making our anniversary the "Event of the Year" for us and our family!! The best in Cozumel

I spent a week at this property in July 09 with two other couples and we had a great time. I am a frequent traveler to Cozumel and have stayed at many AI hotels, private homes and condos on the island. This property is by far the best I have ever stayed at. The home offers four separate bedrooms with private baths and plenty of room for entertaining. The home is spotless thanks to Reyna the housekeeper whoo is very pleasant and efficient. The privare pool and sundeck are fantastic along with the views and sunsets. The art work and attention to detail really make this home special. I would recommend this home to anyone. Couples and families will enjoy the large decks and use of the beach and pools. The free wireless internet and phone make it easy to keep in touch. The owners are very nice and easy to work with. If you ever get a chance to stay here you will not be disappointed!

Educators in Maryland This condo allows each guest to have a private vacation while still enjoying the common areas with fellow housemates. The area provides enough amenities so you don't have to travel to town to eat, shop, or play. The beach and clubs are within walking distance and are fabulous! For a day out, taking a cab to town is simple and affordable. The helpful staff will provide your every wish at your request. My favorite part was dining at Carlos and Charlies, taking a dip in the turquoise water, shopping the fabulous shops, the having Isabela give me the world's best massage while watching the sunset all in the same day. Watch a wedding on the beach at sunset or celebrate a birthday at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. The rooftop pool was one of the most breathtaking experiences of this vacation. We were able to travel with four couples and still enjoy private moments and exciting group activities. I have vacationed in Maui, Bermuda and other tropical islands, but none were like this diamond in the rough condo experience in Cozumel. Palati Mou is worth every penny you pay. Cozumel=All you've ever wanted and MORE!

Guest: Educators (Maryland)
Date of Stay: 07/05/09 Review Submitted: 09/02/09

This condo allows each guest to have a private vacation while still enjoying the common areas with fellow housemates. This vacation spot is all you've ever wanted and more!

JustJess Great Falls, Montana USA Review Submitted: September 2, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009 Wow! This property is truly amazing. Our family traveled to Palati Mou April 4th, 2009-April 12 2009. We ranged in age from 14 months to 79 years old. Each and every one of us had all of our every needs and wants met. The space is amazing, everyone had very spacious, beautifully decorated rooms as well as a huge open kitchen, which is equipped with all you could ever need, connecting to a large open family room and fantastic wrap around deck, with breathtaking views! Equipped with some of the most comfortable hammock swings! The roof top is amazing view, view, view and tropical music cds that were provided topped off paradise! Having two young children I especially enjoyed being able to keep them on their nap schedule, while not being stuck inside a hotel room. You tuck them away for nap and grap your margarita and head up stairs for some r & r! We all enjoyed the privacy of the pool on the roof top! My husband and I have traveled to Cozumel 5 times and have stayed at different condo units on the island! We will come back to this property year after year. Fantastic for families, as well as a few couples. The housekeeper Reyna was wonderful as well. She is an amazing cook and does it with a smile on her face. Very pleasant and knowledgeable! Her guacamole is out of this world! Needless to say Cozumel is so beautiful, however staying here we found that we didn't leave very often. You truly feel at home. The San Francisco beach right out your door is beautiful and you can snorkel right off the shore. There are nice resorts within beach walking distance where you can eat, rent water toys and just enjoy yourself. The Residencias Reef properties are maintained beautifully and everyone was so friendly. Shirley was truly amazing and on top of my every question or concern. The communication was great. She even called just to make sure that we had everything that we needed. :-) This was our most memorable trip to the island. We will be back without a doubt. Book at least two weeks, you will never be ready to go home, so stay as long as you can! This property is truly one of a kind! In one word...Amazing! This property was perfect for our family of six. Plenty of space to gather in the family room, and enough room to retreat comfortably when desired. Best dive we took was with Jorge, at the Wyndham, next door. Owners are caring and thoughtful. They provided answers to all our questions. They've thought through the details. Stick with the Mexican cuisine. It's better than the rest. Wonderful meal at Adrean's place, Esxxxx? Paradise Beach has good nachos; wouldn't bother with the rest. Playa Palancar, 3 miles south of the property, was our favorite. More relaxed and excellent virgin drinks for the children.

AWESOME! Stay at Palati Mou...you won't be sorry!

Our family stayed at "Palati Mou" in early November 2008. This was without a doubt the most fun and relaxing vacation we've ever experienced! The owners hospitality and attention to detail made this trip unforgettable. The penthouse is just as described as is the surrounding area. The housekeeper, Reyna, is amazing and took excellent care of us. We hired her to cook supper for our daughters birthday...it was a wonderful meal complete with a traditional (island) birthday cake. We went to the Chedraui Mega grocery store in town several times and also visited the "Mercado" almost daily. We bought fresh fish to cook on the grill that is available at the penthouse. Gathering on the balcony or on the roof-top solarium in the evenings, enjoying the beautiful ocean and island views while we ate dinner was one of our favorite parts of the trip...it gave us a chance to relax, visit and spend a lot of time laughing. While on the island our family completed their PADI Scuba Diving Certification. Hernan and his crew from The Reef Dive Shop took excellent care of us (including arranging for our future son-in-law to propose to our daughter at 50 feet below the surface and taking pictures of the proposal)! We HIGHLY recommend him as your dive master. He will pick you up on the dock right off the beach in front of the property. Needless to say...the reef's and sea life around Cozumel are absolutely breathtaking! You will want to rent a car. The owners recommended Carmen at Thrifty Car Rental and she took excellent care of us. Parking downtown can be a challenge so plan to visit in the evenings after the cruise ship passengers are gone or park in one of the lots just past the Chedraui Mega Store and walk along the oceanfront to visit the shops. Restaurants we tried while on the island that were great...Especias, El Foco, Guidos, Pancho's Backyard and Alberto's. We also visited the Tequila Factory and enjoyed the tour...we had a great time and the tour guide gave us a lot of history about the island. The island atmosphere is about relaxation (a favorite saying of the locals is "no problem") so plan to just chill out while there. November was a great time to visit as there weren't a lot of tourists and the weather was stunning. Don't forget your mosquito repellent though...every night at dusk they are out in force for about 30 minutes. Thanks Steve & Shirl...we hope to visit again soon!

A Tranquil Oasis in Paradise

Guest: Diver Jill (Friendsville, TN, USA)
Date of Stay: 08/09/08 Review Submitted: 09/27/09

After 23 years of annual diving trips to Cozumel, and staying in nearly every hotel on the island, we found our Oasis of Tranquility in this Paradise which is Cozumel. This property was so much more than a vacation. Located near the most beautiful coral reef in the Caribbean, the diving is superb. The condo is truly a home away from home, spacious to the max, allowing 8 travelers to be comfortable together with plenty of private space to daydream and relax. Whether you are looking for an incredible diving experience, or looking for a week of quiet and solitude, this is the place. The fully equipped kitchen is large enough for everyone in your party to be happy, and the living area comfortable and with all the modern electronic amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi internet and VoIP phone service to the USA. The bedrooms are bright and airy, each with its own beautiful marble bath fit for a king. With 5000 sq. ft. to stretch out in, you will never feel crowded. Surrounding the living area through glass doors you find a wide veranda, complete with hammocks and comfortable furniture, allowing the luxury of outdoor meals. Then you ascend to the Terrace on the top, with its Tiki Bar, lounging chairs, a magnificent Caribbean sunset view, and a private lap pool. This is indeed luxury! The property comes with maid service daily, and the added surprise of authentic Mexican meals prepared for you at your request by the housekeeper. She will even take you to local markets to choose the ingredients for the meal, an added attraction for the gourmet in the group. The property is immaculate and well maintained. The complex boasts two pools, beautifully landscaped grounds, and the convenience of an entire island of restaurants and attractions to enjoy at your leisure. The owners are very accessible and do an excellent job of providing all you need to make your experience an unforgettable one. One visit and this will be your destination of choice. "When the dust of Cozumel enters your soul, may you find it impossible to get rid of it. May the tropical breezes forever be in your heart and mind.”

Stayed at Palati Mou oceanfront penthouse Feb 23rd - Mar 3rd 2008. Very spacious with spectacular views. The services were all what they had told us. Hot water was out a few days, kept trying to fix each day, called the owners & the problem was fixed the next day. Our maid Reyna was wonderful & very helpful, as everyone else. We cooked alot of our own meals, but really enjoyed Alberto's down the beach & Guido's downtown. Mostly enjoyed hanging out on roof-top, by the 2 pools, & beach. Would highly recommend for relaxing & great tans!! Susanne

I have vacationed to "Palati Mou in Cozumel Mexico three times and have yet to be disapointed.

Our stay was wonderfull. The layout of this condo worked wonderfull for us. Each had our own bedrooms and it's sectioned off great for people wanting more privacy or for people with kids. I cant remember a better night sleep away from home. The bed, towels, sheets, everything was wonderful. The view, our own pool and the place in general was above our expectations and you wont be disapointed with your stay. The owners were very friendly and answered all our questions. We had a few minor problems but all were taken care off professionally. Our pool drained out (I forget why) but was refilled in a few hours, the phones didn't always work (which didn't bother us and we didn't need them) and we did have a power outage for 3 hours (but we just went into town to eat) and it was back on soon after. Most of our activities consisted of just hanging around the property swimming and enjoying the weather. The place was near empty so we had full range off all the pools and were the only ones on the beach. Up the beach by Carlos N Charlies (San Francisco Beach & Paridise Beach) were by far the best beach for swimming. We also went to the other side of the island and ate at Coconuts (really fun atmosphere and I think it's the highest point on the island). Of course by far our favorite site (excluding the place that we stayed) was snorkling at the reef. It was beautiful. We didn't see TONS of fish, but the reef itself is a sight to see. I'm so happy we stayed here and vacationed here. Lastly the condo included maid service which was fantastic. Reyna was very accomidating and very friendly. She even made us lunch one day! While maid service is included, you still need to tip her (which we didn't realize it until right before we got there). To us she was worth every penny and then some, but it's still nice to know "all your costs" when deciding on where to stay. Again it wasnt a large amount, but it's more of an FYI. Our ownly dislike about our whole trip was that we rented a car with ace rent a car. They by far had the cheapest full size car, but the service was terrible, had no way to get a hold of them once we landed, took an extra 1 1/2 to get the car and even then it wasnt the car that we were promised (it was the smaller intermediate size that should have been cheaper). If there is a next time we will rent with car rentals that have the cars at the terminal or rent with the car rental service that the condo owners suggested! We had a wonderful week at the Reef! Please feel free to email me if you have any question about staying at this place or visiting Cozumel

This property is one of the most comfortable yet luxurious places I have enjoyed on the island of Cozumel. I have traveled to Cozumel many times over the last 16 years and had always rented through another agency but found this place quite by accident and was more than pleasantly suprised during my stay. The entire condo is tastefully decorated, the bathrooms are spacious, the upstairs sundeck and lap pool are a wonderful place to spend the day (equipped with stereo and wet bar!). The kitchen is very functional with everything you need to cook your own meals. The maid service has been exceptional with all the maids very friendly. I would highly recommend a stay at Palati Mou, infact several of my friends have used this property on my recommendation! Do rent a car if you want to travel into town, there are many wonderful restaurants including Prima's, El Capi Navigante, Especias, La Choza, La Mission and many others. There is some reef with plenty of life just off the beach, excellent for snorkeling. If you are a scuba diver, The Reef dive shop is very attentive and flexible.

My husband and I went to this gorgeous palace for our honeymoon back in April. We have actually been to Cozumel before with friends and family and of all the places we have stayed the Palati Mau is by far our favorite. It is very private and relaxing. We are hoping to go again with friends next year and there is no other place we would rather stay. The view on the private deck is indescribable. The sunsets are breath-taking. And if you like to have a good time, there is a new Senior Frogs on the beach to your left. Also, the marina is right around the corner. The scuba diving is great in Cozumel. Cozumel has the second largest length of reef in the world. Our personal favorite is the Columbia Reef. Cozumel is a wonderful island to go to and Palati Mau is the place to stay.
