Picture yourself in a tropical paradise - you awake to the sound of birds chirping and as you step out on the lanai (patio), a garden filled with exotic flowers awaits you. This isn't a dream - this is exactly how you'd feel as our guest at the Kiahuna Plantation Resort.
Our one bedroom, one bath condo is a first floor unit in a three story building (building 40, unit 402). Since there are no elevators at the Kiahuna Plantation our condo is ideal for young families and older folks alike who don’t want to be negotiating stairs with suitcases or little ones undertow.
You'll have the pleasure of walking out back to a lanai that rolls onto a lush lawn. This backyard is huge and comes complete with barbeque grill and picnic table. You can have breakfast on the lanai table communing with the sounds of nature or have your children play on the lawn under your watchful eye. Nearby is a newly refurbished swimming pool with water slide, which kids and adults alike will love. The tennis courts and golf course are close by as well. And as if this weren't enough, you're just a garden stroll away from Poipu Beach, the "Riviera" of Kauai.
Our condo offers accommodations for four or five, with one king-size bed, a queen-size sofa bed and a roll away bed available for a small fee. We also have an areobed in the closet that can be used. The staff at the management office is available 24 hours a day to assist you just like in a hotel.
One way we keep costs affordable is by having housekeeping services as optional except for a one-time cleaning fee. However, as much or as little housekeeping as you desire can be arranged at the time of check-in. You have all the privacy and benefits of staying at your own condo with the services and amenities of a resort. This vacation home has it all!

Why the Owner Chose Kiahuna Plantation
We bought this unit because of its cozy location and great lawn in the back. Its away from some of the constant activity of the front units, while it is centrally located between the pool, the beach and the shopping village. Since there are no elevators on the Plantation, being a first floor unit can be very helpful with the little ones or us little older ones with achy knees. Younger kids love to play in the back yard which is partially enclosed so that it easy to keep an eye on them. There are barbeque grills throughout the Plantation, but one of them is conveniently located at the end of the backyard lawn.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Some days with such lush grounds and a striking beach right at our feet we don't leave the Plantation area. With a restaurant on the grounds and more restaurants across the street at the shopping village, with Kiahuna's beautiful beach and the state park beach just a stroll away, with the pool, tennis, surfing and snorkeling all there, as well as a small grocery store in the shopping village, there is no need to even get in the car. On more energetic and adventurous days we like to do some of our favorite activities like horseback riding and kayaking. Yet every trip we still find something new to do like hiking to a deserted beach that we never even new existed.

My husband and I were married on Kauai in the Fern Grotto so the island has always been very special to us. We would come back every few years and always find it so breathtakingly beautiful. Over time we realized that we always wished we were staying or actually were staying at the Kiahuna Plantation when vacationing here. As we started our family we found that the kids loved the Plantation and Kauai as a whole regardless of age. They are now in their 20's and are still thrilled about coming here when they can. We will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary later this year.
