What a unique rental property! The O'Neal Log Cabin at the Sandusky House is an original log structure, originally built during the 1820s. The two-story log cabin was completely reconstructed from the ground up in 1995. New bathrooms and full kitchen were added. Log walls are visible from both inside and outside. Geo-thermal heat and air make your stay comfortable no mater what the season. The 8-ft. stone fireplace is ready to light on cool nights.
History abounds, not only in the O'Neal Cabin, but the original land grant was deeded from then Governor of Virginia, Patrick Henry, to Revolutionary War Hero, Jacob Sandusky. The main house on the property was finished by Jacob's son around 1860 and a second-floor room served as the school house for the area.
