Spacious duplex (1500 sq. ft.) in a lovely brownstone on a beautiful tree-lined block in center of Park Slope, Brooklyn. Close to 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue's great neighborhood restaurants, cafes, and trendy shops. Easy walking distance to Prospect Park, the jewel of Brooklyn, offering summer concerts, boating, horseback riding, and many other activities. Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Museum of Art, and Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) are also close by.
Easy 15 minutes to Manhattan via subway. 2 minute walk to R or M trains at Union Street station. 10 minute walk to Q or B trains at 7th Avenue station.
Parlor Floor (second floor): Two large bedrooms (each with queen size beds) and one full bath.
Ground Floor(first floor): Open living room, kitchen and dining area leading to backyard garden with barbecue grill. One half bathroom.
Basement Floor: Bedroom with additional sleeping area (double bed and futon).

This was the perfect venue for us to meet up with our daughter & her husband from Portland, Or, and our son & his wife who live in Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn. So close to everything we wanted: subway, restaurants & diners, groceries and a comfortable neighborhood. The house was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. We actually refer to it as our Brooklyn home when we reminisce about our trip. Staying in this Brownstone helped us feel like residents, not just visitors staying in a hotel.in a business district. When we visit NY again, we will reserve this property, Happy New Year, Ellis, et al.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

This place was exactly as described and pictured. It was close to grocery stores, the subway and restaurants. We LOVED staying in Brooklyn this time visiting NYC. It was mostly a quiet neighborhood(except garbage trucks) and family friendly. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. We had 5 adults and 2 children and the size of the place was perfect for us! We felt safe and comfortable. I would certainly recommend this property to others(I have already done so). We hope to return one day ourselves!

Just back from an extended holiday weekend (Valentine's and anniversary). Ellis (owner) was very responsive to the only problem we ran into. Neighborhood and home are both family-friendly, and parking is free. Basement and backyard are great "holding pens" for kids. And Ellis even shared some "starter" beer (a refillable growler) from a nearby deli/craft brew store. In essense, four times the square footage at half the cost of a reputable NYC hotel room. Hope to do it again within the year.
