Our lakefront cottage is located on a quiet bay at the north east end of beautiful Burt Lake. The shallow bay provides calm waters and a quiet atmosphere for a relaxing northern vacation while being part of Michigan's extensive Inland Waterway. From the end of the dock, you can swim, kayak, or use your own boat or jet ski. Or, if you prefer, read a book while lying in the hammock and enjoying the view and breezes off the lake.

The cottage is within 30 miles of Mackinaw City and less than 10 miles from Indian River's famous Cross in the Woods. Unique shopping opportunities in Petoskey and Harbor Springs or a walk along Lake Michigan's shoreline are all only 45 minutes away. The Pigeon and Sturgeon Rivers, well known for excellent fishing and canoeing/kayaking, are also nearby. In the winter, downhill and cross-country skiing at Boyne Highlands and Nubbs Nob are only a 40 minute drive, and many state owned cross-country and snow mobile trails are easily accessible.
