THE HOME
The home has an open beam ceiling, lots of windows and skylights. The interior is light and airy and done primarily in natural wood. It is a great place to get away and enjoy all the good things life has to offer. Whether you are having fun doing one of the many activities Black Butte Ranch provides or just relaxing with family and friends, we are sure you will find our vacation home a great place to be.
Our home is just a couple minute walk down the path from the new $7.2 million Glaze Meadow Recreation Center. The Center offers indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an enormous hot tub, steam room, exercise room, yoga room, and espresso bar. The biking path runs along the back of the property which makes it easy for those morning bike rides. The house location is extremely quiet and is off a side road away from the main road.
The home can comfortably sleep 12. Of the three bedrooms, one bedroom on each floor has a queen bed; the second bedroom upstairs has two sets of three bunk beds for a total of 6 beds in the third bedroom. Additionally the living room has a hide a bed that can comfortably sleep 2. All linens and towels are provided. Each level has a full bathroom. The home is very child friendly and is smoke and pet free.
A spacious kitchen comes fully equipped with a new stove, microwave, dish washer and plenty of counter space. In addition all the dishes and cooking utensils are provided. A limited supply of spices and condiments are available for your cooking and baking needs. A wrap around deck with large BBQ grill and patio is conveniently located through the side door for eating your perfect steak.
THE RANCH
There is a lot to do right here on the ranch. There are two championship 18-hole golf courses, canoeing & kayaking, horseback riding and fly fishing. In the winter snow skiing at Hoodoo is a great way to spend the day and is only a 15 minute drive from the ranch. There are some great places to dine out at Black Butte. The Restaurant at the Lodge blends French inspiration with a fresh Northwest flavor, Big Meadow Clubhouse restaurant with its Italian cuisine and the Lakeside Bistro are all great places to dine. The Recreation Center is several minutes up the path and in addition to swimming and exercise opportunities, also hosts a spa with massages and facials, a sports shop with bike, ski, and tennis rentals. The indoor area is spacious and uplifting with something for the entire family to do. Twelve of the Ranch's twenty two tennis courts are close by. Nearby is a playground with new equipment and plenty of room for kids to roam. The Center is nicely located in the middle of the rand and the 30 plus miles of paved bike trails are easily accessible.
SURROUNDING ATTRACTIONS
The Ranch, an upscale resort community encompassing nearly 2000 acres is about a 12 minute drive from Sisters, a western themed town. Sisters has an endless collection of stores and small town attractions including galleries, furniture, clock store (world famous) attire, jewelry and several ice-cream and espresso shops. The wonderful log Sisters Coffee Shop is a must-see every time.
Bend, a larger town boasting much larger shopping activities and musical selections is located another 20 minutes past Sisters. Central Oregon is an unbelievable mecca for the outdoor enthusiast. Enjoy a 10 minute drive through Ponderosa Forest to Camp Sherman General Store, the beautiful Metolius River and Headwaters, with endless miles of tracks and roads for hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, four wheeling and boating, The Jefferson Wilderness area begins just up the road and Clear Lake’s and Suffle Lake’s restaurant, trails, and boat rentals and fishing opportunities are within 20 – 30 minutes drive. June 16 - Labor Day Weekend .. $225/night (weekly rental only)
All Holidays ... $200/night (3 night minimum)
A deposit of 50% of the rental fee is required to secure reservation.
Balance is due 4 weeks prior to your stay along with a refundable security deposit
$110 Cleaning Fee, $200 refundable security deposit.

Great Cabin in Ideal Location

We just returned from a great week at the Cajan Cabin. The layout of the cabin is perfect for a large family or 2-family group. There are two bedrooms with queen-size beds, one upstairs and one downstairs, and one bunk room upstairs with two 3-bed bunks. The common living/dining area is very large and bright with many windows and two skylights. There is a huge dining room table which was very handy on the night we invited some friends over for dinner (seated 12). The beds were comfortable and the decor was a very nice country theme. The cabin was clean and well-stocked with cooking utensils, linens, towels, etc. The cabin is located about a 5-minute walk from the recently remodeled Glaze Meadow Recreation Center, which we visited every day of our stay. The cabin also borders a bike path, so bike access to and from the cabin is ideal. The owners were very easy to communicate with and very friendly. In summary, we had a great time during our stay at the Cajan Cabin. We go to Black Butte at least once every year and have found a handful of cabins that we like and tend to rent those most often. We rented this cabin because some of our other favorites weren't available. This is now our favorite cabin and we'll try to rent it for all future trips.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
