  My husband and I enjoyed this spacious house for the month of March. It comes, as advertised, with a sense of spaciousness and privacy. The pool is beautifully fit into the landscape, easily accessible and maintained on a weekly basis. Our children and grandchildren especially enjoyed the closeness to the Magic Sands Beach. The adults enjoyed the spacious bedrooms, comfortable common spaces and very functional kitchen. We all loved the large Japanese soaking tub...what a treat! This rental home is well worth the price.   We rented this 4 bdrm, 3 bath home for the bridge week between November/December, 2012. It accommodated our family of 7 adults and a 6 year old very well. Although we did not use the pool much the 6 y.o. was very pleased it was there! The owner was in Oregon but was very accessible to the telephone to answer any questions we had. The home was clean including lots of clean glass windows overlooking the ocean. The salt water is a bear to keep off windows in such close proximity to the beach. The location is ideal…only 2 streets off the waterfront. The waterfront being Magic Sands Beach which is a completely white sand beach…the finest beach on the whole island in my estimation. It is called magic because the large waves that show up in the winter pull all the sand away (it literally disappears) and it returns sometime in the spring. We spent 5 wonderful days on that beach and one night the waves came crashing in shaking the house. The next day the sand was GONE. Everyone enjoyed swimming with a resident turtle that was in the bay just beyond the beach. The location is great with a large grocery store very near along with farmer’s markets and tourist attractions. This was a 5 star vacation for our family and we won’t hesitate renting this house again. Highly recommend it.

  This home was beautiful and perfect for my family! The house was located conveniently to Keauhou Shopping Center and walking distance to White Sands Beach. The home was spacious, clean, and had such a great "home" feeling. My family fit comfortably and we were happy there was a separate Ohana for the rest of our family. We really enjoyed our time in this home and will definitely stay here again when we return!

  Our adventure started out a year ago with an inquiry to our host Randy concerning rental of this home. From the beginning we found him to be helpful, flexible and kind. Knowing there would be 6 women in the house he even added extra hair dryers!! The pictures on the web site did a good job of showing us the home. It was great to have a garage for our rental vehicle. The pool was lovely and well maintained. There is a large dining table that accommodated all of us as well as a table on the lanai. We appreciated all of the beach equipment including towels especially since the airlines are limiting baggage. The location was great. Just off of Ali drive, the main thoroughfare, yet far enough from the village that it was quiet and less traffic. The home is set in a quiet residential area where we felt safe and contained. Thanks Randy for use of your home and all of your well thought out accommodations.

  I can't say enough about how wonderful this home and owner is! We took our 4 kids and my parents and the size was perfect for us. We loved that my parents had their own little suite. The house was clean and it was wonderful to have extra boogie boards etc. Almost everything we needed was there and when we asked where the BBQ equipment was, it was provided! Fantastic service! The pool is fantastic. It's narrow but deep which is perfect. Magic sands beach and an amazing snorkeling area are a 5 minute walk down the hill, a trolley comes hourly to take you to town or the movie theater and I could see the ocean from the living room and master bedroom. We had an amazing time and having this home as our home base for a month really added to our vacation. It was hard to come home!

  A group of friends and I recently visited the Big Island for a friend's wedding in Hilo. We spent half the time in Hilo and the second half in Kona. The differences between the two places we stayed at were night and day. This place was awesome!! The home was in fantastic condition and was extremely comfortable. Lots of space for plenty of people in the main house with a small apartment attached for more people below. The proximity to the heart of Kona is very close and Magic Sands beach - a white sand beach - is literally a 5 minute walk from the front door. The accommodations were fantastic, the view is good of the ocean, the space is excellent, there was lots of natural light available and plenty of fresh air throughout. The only thing that was mildly annoying was some birds chirping too early for my liking! Otherwise, it was a great time. Thanks for providing such a wonderful home for our first visit to Hawaii! We'll definitely recommend your home and keep it in mind for any future such excursions to Kona!

  Absolutely the best Hawaiian trip ever. We have enjoyed Kona many times over the years but our stay at Randy's beautiful home was the best. The location is great - close to beaches and snorkeling, good access to the highway to avoid much of the Kona traffic. The home is clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Our family of seven had more than enough room and the studio was a real treat for my daughter and son-in-law. We enjoyed some fresh fish from the barbeque on the lanai and the kitchen was well equipped. It was great to be able to pull the cars into the garage and close the door instead of leaving them in some parking lot. When we plan our next trip to Kona we certainly hope Randy's home will be available. Also, Randy was wonderful to work with as we organized our trip and provided very helpful information about where to find the best fresh fish on the island. Aloha

  I have enjoyed this home for many reasons. The house is very close to the beach, and great for snorkeling and diving. There is a few great surf spots, which is my favorite reason. The farmers markets allow you to get fresh produce at a very reasonable price. The town of Kona has some very nice restaurants and fish markets. The locals are very friendly. The house is very clean and the pool is wonderful. I enjoyed my stay!!!
