Welcome to Big Branch Cabins, LLC. Featured here is our newest cabin, Poplar Peak. Situated on almost 12 private, wooded acres, the home offers peace and solitude yet is convenient to area attractions, parks and forests. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and will accommodate 6 people. This mountain home is decorated with unique antiques and comfortable furniture. It offers beautiful pine walls and maple hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped to meet all of your cooking needs and a charcoal grill is available to grill your favorite dishes. The queen size beds offer a comfortable night's sleep and are adorned with beautiful hand picked quilts.
Our mountain home beckons you to sit on the oversized front porch and enjoy the sights and sounds of Appalachian nature. It is also the perfect place to relax after a day of outdoor activities exploring the "Land of the Waterfalls." The home also offers an enclosed sunroom which is a great room to have your morning tea or coffee and reflect on the days activities. We have added many personal touches to the cabin to make it a retreat to remember.
We invite you to take an evening stroll on the Big Branch Trail which leads to the Big Branch Stream. Along the trail, you will enjoy the native Pines and Laurels...You might also see a deer. On another evening, we invite you to the picnic area where there is a fire pit which is perfect for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows (firewood provided). While there, enjoy a game of horseshoes or bring a frisbee or ball for a favorite game.
We feel that our cabins are so peaceful that you might want to spend your entire time here--but, it you want to venture out, there is plenty to do in the area. We are fortunate to be in close proximity to Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Gorges State Park, Nantahala National Forest, and Caesers Head State Park. You will enjoy many hiking trails, biking paths, horseback riding areas, fishing streams, and beautiful waterfalls.
We recommend a visit to Looking Glass Falls in the Pisgah National Forest or a refreshing swim at Hooker Falls in the Dupont State Forest. We also suggest a hike to the Raven Cliff Falls in Caesers Head State Park (our favorite).
The quaint town of Brevard, home of the legendary Brevard Music Center, is another "must see" and hosts numerous antique stores, novelty shops, and excellent restaurants. See our website for a detailed list of area attractions.
