This turned out to be a mess!!!!! Both nights we stayed in the unit we had to clean sewage off the bathroom floors. Since there was no on-site managment we were forced to clean it up ourselfs or walk through it. Then to top it off when we decided to cut our trip short due to this on going problem ,we were later refused a refund for the unused time even though we were promised a refund before we left. Having spent a lot of time in this area over the past 25 years it's my opinion you can do much better. This unit sits right next to the highway so the traffic noise is a constant problem ; the front yard is just the road which when we were there was so muddy you couldn't even take a walk and there is no laundry which doesn't work well for an extended stay. We couldn't even launder our bath towels that we had to use to clean up the sewage so they just laid in the shower and tub. Even if we had chosen to continue to stay we couldn't bath for fear the toilets would overflow . I believe if you check around you will find you can get a much better value. I'm still trying to get a refund for our unused time but I haven't even gotten a response back from my last request and it's been nearly a week.

Had a great stay at the Salida/Garfield area cabin of Mr & Mrs Tamelar's. The cabin is spotlessly clean, spacious yet cozy, the town is quiet and a great place to stay. Monarch Mountain Lodge is very accommodating for laundry and a nice restaurant, and it is only a couple blocks away. I will stay at this cabin again, it was a great stay and a great value. Thank you!!
