This is a five bedroom (1 King, 2 Doubles, 2 Twins, 2 Bunk Beds) with 2 full baths. A cedar shake house with vaulted ceilings and unique island architecture reminiscent of Hatteras Island Life Saving Station. Located in a nice quiet subdivision with paved streets and glorious sunrises over the ocean and sunsets over the sound. Only 100 feet to the beach access by Quay Court....just a short walk and you will be greeted by a sparkling, unspoiled wide beach, a rolling blue ocean and endless opportunities for fun in the sun and surf! Or just a short drive to all points of interest on the island, including the Hattereas Lighthouse and Bodi Island Lighthouse.
Coastal Station's ground level offers a concrete driveway with available parking for four vehicles, with an enclosed outside shower.
The first level has a wrap around covered deck. With a large spacious living room area with plenty of lighting, ceiling fans and vaulted ceilings. Large kitchen with with all of your basic needs. There are 2 dining tables that's seats 6 at each table and a laundry area. Off of the kitchen there is a screened in porch with a picnic table and a new gas grill ('07). There is also a spacious king bedroom, a bedroom with two bunk beds, another bedroom with a double bed and a full bathroom.
The second level offers two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and the other with a double bed. There is a sitting room with access to the sun deck and a spiral stair way that leads up to the Captains Watch/Tower Room with a 360 degree view of the surrounding area with great sunrise and awesome sunset views. This floor also has a full size hall bathroom.

Hatteras Island is a narrow island approximately 45 miles long with NC Highway 12 as the only main road right down the middle. The Pamlico Sound runs along the west side and the Atlantic Ocean is on the east side. On the island there are seven villages for you to explorer and enjoy while you are here.
To go any further south of Hatteras Island you would have to travel by ferry boat. A nice day trip where you can see the native herd of Wild Ponies. Have a leisurely day of biking, hiking, sunning and sightseeing. OR Take a day trip north of the island to the Northern Beaches or Roanoke Island. Some of the activities to the north are Wright Brothers National Memorial, Jockey's Ridge State Park, Elizabethan Gardens, Island Festival Park, North Carolina Aquarium and The Lost Colony.
