Full Description:
Lakeside cottage with beautiful lake and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dual boathouse and docks situated on a desirable eastern cove provide a sheltered wake-free swimming area within sight of the main portion of lake.
A few steps take you from the 4 car paved vehicle area to the main level. Enter through the gourmet kitchen and breakfast nook and walk into the inviting family room with woodburning stove. French doors open to the screened porch overlooking the lake and mountains. Retreat to one of 2 cozy bedrooms, adjoined by one full bath. There is also a kid's bedroom containing a set of twin bunkbeds.
The lower level, accessed from the screened porch stairway, complements the main level with an additional bedroom suite, game room, and viewing deck. The bedroom suite is furnished with a queen-size bed, entertainment center, and has its own private bath. Relax and enjoy a game of ping pong in the lake facing game room. Exit towards the viewing deck towards the five-person corner hot tub overlooking the boathouse and lake.
Walk a few steps from the home onto the spacious deck covering the dual boathouse. Cruise the lake with the house pontoon boat (May-Nov), or enjoy a quiet paddle in the canoe or kayak.
A multitude of dining, relaxation, and entertainment options are within are within 5 to 30 minute drive include: two championship golf courses, the town of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Park, and Asheville's Biltmore Estate.
Quality lodging and a full range of amenities makes Sunshine Cove the best vacation value on the lake. When totaled, comparable costs for lodging (three couples), pontoon boat rental, and water sports equipment rental (kayaks, canoe) are easily double the amount of our summer rates. Come enjoy all the toys and comforts of home, but lakefront and with a magnificent mountain views!
