The minute I read the description of this property I knew it was the place for us. Planning a weekend with kids and grandkids was a challenge, but everyone agreed this rental was perfect for our needs. We found it just as described with the photos very accurate, but more important the home smelled clean the minute we unlocked the door. Should you plan a big dinner there were plenty of pots and pans, plates and glasses. Having more than one bathroom was important for us as was the firepit for telling scary Halloween ghost stories. Many of the rentals did not offer these two features. The kids really enjoyed visiting with the duck families who paddled on by. Brian even provided forks for hot dogs or s'mores! He was very quick to respond to our pre-arrival questions so whether you are looking for a well - maintained, quiet relaxing spot to fish from the pier and watch the leaves fall or sprout, or even just relax as day gives way to night this is the ideal spot for you and your family!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We recently stayed at the Rock River bungalow with our son, my sister and her kids and had a wonderful time! We are from the Seattle area and have family in Wisconsin. The house is immaculate and has been beautifully renovated. We have extended family in the area so one evening we took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen and outdoor BBQ and made a dinner pasta and chicken for everyone. The beds are so comfortable (I am very picky about beds and often have a hard time sleeping) and we alls slept great. I especially liked that there are three bathrooms. While it says 2 1/2 - the 3rd bathroom has a shower. It's part of the laundry room but it's great when there are several people. The lake was fun to swim in and we rented the pontoon boat from "Mike" (be sure to ask for his contact info as he is much cheaper than the Anchor Inn). It was great - he delivered it to us and picked it up. We enjoyed taking the pontoon boat down to the Anchor Inn for lunch (have to try their bloody mary's - they are a meal! Great burgers too). I enjoyed running a nice loop along the river and then up into farm country and back (about 2 miles - would do it twice). The living area was nice for relaxing - air conditioning worked well all over the house. The lawn area is great for kids to play catch etc. We didn't end up using the fire pit as there was a burn ban in effect. All in all, it was absolutely perfect and we would definitely stay there again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I (and the family dog) stayed here for the long holiday weekend. The home is cozy and clean. Plenty of parking as you arrive to the dead end street where you see the water for the first time. There is a mud room for coats and shoes, three bathrooms, laundry and three bedrooms. The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with lots of spices and other cooking aids like a large island cutting board. (Our group likes to cook.) The guys enjoyed the large flatscreen above the fireplace. The dining table easily accommodates 6 and there is another two person table and chair set in the kitchen along the window looking over the water. The deck goes across the entire back of the house, though it was too cold for us to sit out there. There is also a deck out of the upstairs bedroom. We have stayed at many rentals over the years and they can be bare bones for decorating and bedding. This place felt like you truly borrowed your friend's place for the weekend.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We visited this home for a girls getaway in late October. I have rented many homes through VRBO and have considered myself lucky in that I have gotten what I expected. This time, not the case--the house was even better than expected, surprassing the expectations of us all. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. Everything in the house is top notch, without many of the shortcuts generally taken in a vacation home. The location on the river is perfect, extremely peaceful with phenomenal views and a great deck overlooking the water. All in all this house is exactly what we were hoping for and then some. I certainly hope to be back next summer!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners.

We just got back from a WONDERFUL weekend at this property. The home was exactly as described. It's only steps away from the Rock River. We spent a lot of time on the pier, whether it was drinking a cup of coffee watching the sunrise or relaxing with a fishing pole in the water. We had fires in the firepit two of the three nights we stayed. The owner provides the firewood and everything! The house itself is beautiful. Very comfortable with breathtaking views of the water. It was one of the most relaxing, peaceful vacations I've had. Definitely stay at this property! I know we'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is a wonderful bungalow with everything you could possibly need for a beautiful, relaxing vacation. The home is spacious and set up for a quiet family getaway or entertaining friends and family. We had a great holiday weekend there with family and friends and stayed for the week to relax with our kids. Brian provided everything we needed and was great to work with. We rented a pontoon for the week and had so much fun on the river/lake. Our kids loved that we could swim/fish right off the dock. Thanks to Brian for always being available and so helpful before, during and after our stay! The home was very easy to child proof for little ones too! We will certainly be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We stayed here for a weekend in June to meet up with family from various locations in Wisconsin. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the shade on the large deck. The view of the water was very relaxing and our grandson had a great time catching fish right from the dock. The home is very cute and we found it to be very " user friendly" in the kitchen. We could not have asked for more!! The owner was very nice and made sure that our needs were met. The kids had fun swimming near the dock and we roasted marshmallows over the campfire pit at night. We wish that our jobs would have allowed us to stay longer but we really enjoyed the time we had together at this beautiful location. If you are looking for a great place, great views, clean surroundings and all the comforts of home.....book this place today!!! You won't be disappointed!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We really loved our stay. The cottage was very cozy and well decorated. We cooked every night and Brian had almost everything I could think of except the ice cream maker (which we brought for ourselves). We really felt at home and Brian does a wonderful job of maintaining the property. We spent most of our time on the water fishing and enjoying the nice weather. We are hoping to come back next summer so you better book early. Thanks Brian - we could not have been happier with our vacation choice.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This is a beautifully appointed house. The master suite is luxurious, the kitchen is modern and very well equipped. The house has everything one might need for a relaxing holiday. For example, there is a very big stock of firewood to make a fire, a great grill and a big flat screen TV for a quiet evening in. It is also very peaceful to sit on the dock and watch the boats go by. I've stayed in a few rental vacation homes - this was one of my favourites.Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I have stayed in quite a few rental homes in Wisconsin and this one is by far the best. The house is beautifully decorated and is very warm and cozy, the kitchen is easy to work in and has everything you need, the view is beautiful and it's very easy to get to Lake Koshkonong by boat or car. The town of Edgerton is very close and provides everything from good restaurants to a very good grocery store. The owner of the house is great to work with and really cares about the comfort and happiness of his renters. We would stay there again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
