Welcome to our Sunset Beach getaway at Sea Trail Golf Resort. We are ideally located 45 minutes south of historic Wilmington and 15 north of North Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand. Sunset Beach offers unparalleled beauty with its expansive beaches and natural sand dunes and was recently ranked as the #1 barrier island on the North Carolina coast.
A quaint wooden bridge leads you across a pristine salt marsh as you approach the island three miles long, the beach is known for its wide strand and thick sea oats which attract hundreds of shore birds each morning. Sunset Beach is the only land access for the southern-most undeveloped barrier island, Bird Island.
Sea Trail provides 54 holes of championship golf, swim & fitness centers, dining and even activities for the children. It is the perfect destination for a family vacation, a couples weekend or romantic getaway for two.
Our home’s professionally decorated interior reflects a sophisticated coastal ambiance and is furnished for your comfort. Special features include a large screen porch overlooking the 15th fairway of the Maples course, an outdoor shower in a private garden, a fun game room and a fully equipped kitchen. The home is one level and it offers over 1700 square feet of living space.
In the main living space there is a 40” HDTV with 150 cable stations, DVD player, iPod dock with speakers and a large selection of books, magazines and books. Additionally, each of the three bedrooms has a TV and the game room has a CD player. The game room has an air hockey, foosball and game table along with a number of board games, puzzles and cards.
Outdoor living spaces include a large screened porch and a generous sun deck, both overlooking the golf course. There are many flowering bushes that bloom throughout the year and a nice grassy area for kids to stretch their legs. Our favorite space is the outdoor shower in the private garden courtyard.
Our vacation getaway in Brunswick County is convenient to many area activities and attractions. Consider golfing at a different course each day at one of the 100+ golf courses in the area, taking a dinner cruise on the Intracoastal Waterway, enjoying a shopping expedition to Myrtle Beach's miles of outlet shopping or Wilmington's quaint specialty shops, or spending an evening at one of our many dinner theaters or night clubs. There's horseback riding, deep sea or pier fishing, kayaking or canoeing, museums, art galleries, historical tours and more!
Naturally, bed, bath and kitchen linens are provided along with dish detergent and laundry soaps. You can make unlimited local telephone calls. For a nominal fee we can provide beach chairs, bicycles and wireless internet (high speed DSL). The Sea Trail Village Activity Center is available to you at an additional cost. There is an indoor pool, outdoor pool and baby pool, fitness center, Jacuzzi, sauna and tennis courts.
We love to walk on the beach with our dog and want to give you that same opportunity. With advance approval and nominal fee (for additional cleaning), we welcome you to bring your dog.
Because this is our second home and we believe that in today’s hectic world that vacations are a precious commodity—for us and for you—we have tried to provide a place that offers all the comforts and conveniences of home and then some!!
RESERVATION INFORMATION:
A damage/reservation deposit of $200 is required. This must be received within seven (7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required 60 days before arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the rent. The advance payment is not a damage deposit. The balance of rent is due thirty (30) days before your arrival date.
CANCELLATION INFORMATION:
A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur a $25 cancellation fee deductible from the reservation deposit. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit unless we are able to re-rent the unit. If the unit is re-rented, a $25 cancellation fee will be deducted from the reservation deposit.
