We had a lovely stay at River Heights. It is really a beautiful piece of property and is actually quite an affordable little bit of luxury if you have several couples staying together. Everyone had their individual space, but yet the gathering areas were perfect for a large group. The views were truly "rapturous" and even if the weather is rainy or bad you don't mind because the view is great. It was only a short drive to downtown Leavenworth and grocery stores, etc. The only thing I will note is that if you have small children, you will need to watch them very carefully outside as the edges of the property do drop off quite suddenly in several places (not a bad thing, it is actually part of what makes the views so amazing, but if you want to let your small children run free outside, this might not be the house for you although there is a beautiful grassy section near the orchard that does lend more to running around, but still requires supervision).

The home was very nice, with great amenities and views. Loved the stereo system wired throughout the house which is set up for use with Pandora internet radio and iPODs.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway!! Beautiful views from all corners of the property! The kitchen had every utensil one could need! The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. We couldn't have asked for anything more. It is unanimous, our group of 8, are looking forward to our next outing here. Thank you, so much for sharing this property with us!!

Exquisite Vacation Home!

I just got back from a wonderfully relaxing weekend at River Heights. My party had 12 adults and 3 babies and we had plenty of space to lounge and sleep. The kitchen is a dream and made it easy to cook for large groups. The property has a perfect hill for sledding and an awesome view of mountains and orchards all around. I did not want to leave! We also had a great experience with the River Heights staff, who was easy to work with and quick to reply.

Fantastic Home

We have rented many homes over the years in the Pacific Northwest. This home was by far the nicest home we have rented. The spectacular views, the privacy, the spacious accommodations, the nice beds, the large kitchen and extra large dining room table all made for a wonderful gathering spot for a family reunion. Furthermore, the home is equipped with excellent pots, pans, dish ware and cooking utensils. The kids had a ball sledding on the many hills around the home, sitting in the hot tub and playing card games by the fire. The adults appreciated no TV on the top level and IPOD connections for the stereo. Thanks for providing this cozy, beautiful home as a rental.

I had a FUNTASTIC stay in mid-November at the River Heights Home with 8 childhood friends; 9 women all together (ranging in age from from 50 - 90!) We were very pleased with all the amenities: beautiful views, comfy beds, hot tub outside, spa bath and steam shower inside, spacious living room, wood fireplace and gas fireplace, LOTS OF ROOM for eating and gaming (BIG TABLES) and cooking (we are "foodies!" There was enough room in the kitchen for some friends to be cooking, while others were drinking tea and chatting on the high chairs at the counter top.) We loved the orchard next door for pleasant walks and the view of the mountains and river. We were gifted by a dusting of snow our last night. The next morning we were surrounded by a breath-taking winter wonderland. We left town around 1:00pm, and by then the pass was clear. There are many hikes in the area and touristy window shopping in Leavenworth. However, the home was so COMFORTABLE, that we mainly cooked, played games, soaked in the hot tub, had a lot of chat time, told stories, and sang together. A wonderful time had by all. I highly recommend this comfy home. The folks on call for the property were friendly too. We plan to return next year!

I just wanted to tell you that we had such an amazing time at your cabin! The setting was absolutely gorgeous, and I really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. The cathedral ceilings and gigantic view windows in the great room were so serene! All of the beds slept our group of 14 comfortably, and the view from the hot tub showed the entire valley. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Great place for a large family

My family has gone to Leavenworth for the past 5 years and have stayed at a couple places. This one is by far our favorite, it is comfortably big enough for our whole family (10 people), nice inside, great views, very clean, and has an all around wonderful atmosphere. We have stayed there twice now, and have already booked our third stay for Christmas this year. One thing to consider for anyone that is not familiar with Leavenworth is that this house is not within walking distance of the downtown area, only a 3 minute drive though, and worth it for such a great place.

Responsive but poor follow-up

The home itself is very nice when we rented last Labor day, but the refrigerator did not hold temperature and our food/drinks were warm. The sound system also did not work.The manager was very responsive and brought over ice and another outdoor refrigerator. We wanted to rent again this year, but asked about the refrigerator being fixed and were told that there was nothing wrong ever with the refrigerator and that we had opened the door too much (which we didn't). When we begged to differ but still wanted to rent, the new management then sent us a nasty follow-up email saying they would never rent to us again. Fairly shocking response since we were repeat customers. Guess what? We'll never rent from you again! If you want to rent this property, don't complain to the new management if anything goes wrong.

Owner response: This guest stayed with us last year over Labor Day weekend. He reported that the refrigerator was not cooling correctly. We brought bags of ice along with transporting a spare refrigerator to the location to try and minimize the inconvenience. On Tuesday, after the holiday weekend, we placed a service call to determine the nature of the cooling problem. At the time of the evaluation, which was 3-4 days after the guest's departure, the technician advised us that the refrigerator was cooling correctly. He explained how refrigerators operate and the processes of cooling. His suggestion was that maybe the doors had been opened too frequently, or perhaps warm food had been placed inside. It was quite hot that time of year, so his explanation seemed plausible, and there have been no further problems with the unit. When this guest contacted us this year, he wanted to rent on the condition that we guarantee our refrigerator to stay between 38 and 41 degrees during their visit or issue him a 10 percent refund. We shared the technician's suggestion of what may have occurred last year, but the guest said it was completely inaccurate. We weren't sure what to do. There have been nearly 50 guests in this home over the course of the past year, and this was the only problem reported with the refrigerator. We do not anticipate a problem, but chose not to enter into an agreement with this guest given the possible point of contention.

Very relaxing, beautiful scenery. The seclusion of the area made for a very calm and relaxed vacation. Our youngest child enjoyed the hot tub, our middle child liked the view of the river, and our oldest enjoyed the open spaces and freedom to walk around the area. Mom and Dad enjoyed the quiet, river rafters, and watching trains go by. Thanks for sharing your wonderful place with our family.

What a beautiful house! We had a wonderful Christmas here and the house made it that much better. All 12 of us fit perfectly and comfortably. The sledding run was so much fun, but after a couple of runs, an elevator would have been nice! We used an air mattress and it worked awesome! Loved being surrounded by such beautiful views. The wood stove was lovely to sit around at night, although some of our 'cavemen' had a hard time starting it - haha! The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets to keep us warm :)... Oh, and the heated floors... AMAZING! Thanks for the fabulous vacation, hope we come again!

The whole family had a wonderful stay. What a beautiful house. We had room for all 12 of us. The kitchen was a wonderful place to cook all our meals together. We even baked Christmas cookies. The snow was great with plenty of time for sledding and even building a snowman. The grandkids played for hours and it was great being able to play in the snow and come in to warm cider and cocoa. We hope we will be able to stay again at this beautiful home. Thanks so much!

Another year at the Lighting Festival for our Grays Harbor group. Enough snow for a sleigh ride, good wine, and enough Christmas spirit for the remainder of the year! First time at River Heights house. What a grand lodge. Plenty of room for everyone, with a great kitchen to boot. Snow - scenery - seclusion - the best of all three... We're already planning for our next-year stay. Can't wait to see the final construction out front. Merry Christmas & Happy 2011!

What a wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving! Had so much fun sledding down the hill - even though the grandchildren would have liked a tow rope back to the top! Loved the house. Saw two deer. Had a good time in town. Kids and grandkids came from Lacey. Two sets of grandparents came from Illinois. Great vacation!

River Heights was all that we were expecting and more. Some old friends got together for Canadian Thanksgiving and October Fest and had an absolutely wonderful time - we'll never forget it. Everything about the house is something to rave about, from the beautiful views to the modern kitchen and living area. Really nice decoration outside and inside, according to the Season.I highly recommend this place, and we'll definitely keep it in mind for future get-together!

Every year our group of sorority sisters get together. This is our 16th annual get together. We had a blast lounging, hitting the town and celebrating! Thanks for sharing your home for our memories. It isn't easy to please all these women all at once! It was great to catch up and share pictures of our kids and remember our days at school. Kimmi taught us how to knit scarves in the summer! Painting our toe nails, chatting and laughing together - like the girls we once were was a great break from our hectic lives as moms, professionals and wives!!

A group of my favorite girls and I spent the weekend at River Heights for my bachelorette party. We didn't have to venture far from the house because of the wonderful views, huge social gathering style kitchen, and surrounding gardens. We made ourselves feel right at home, which was easy to do, and picked flowers from the garden to jazz up our banquet table. It was wonderful to all be able to sit and eat together. Thank you for a spectacular weekend at a fabulous venue. We'll be back again. :)

What an amazing house in the most prefect, relaxing setting! Myself and my very closest girlfriends stayed here for my bachelorette party a few weeks ago and we're absolutely blown away! Not only by the views and well layed out floor plan of this home, but also by the inviting warmth it illuminated. I have friends who have already booked it for the Fall and the rest of us girls are talking about making it a yearly trip east for some girl time! We'll be back :) A HUGE thank you!

Dear River Heights... The house was great. So was the town. Horseback riding was fun. River rafting was a blast. Restaurants were cool. Leavenworth has a big forest area.

Had a wonderful time. Saw deer, coyotes, jack rabbits and an amazing elk on the side of the hill. Thanks again for letting us use your beautiful home. Can't wait to visit again. P.S. Thanks again for letting us borrow the snow shoes. Walking around in the snow was a blast. We saw all types of animal tracks.

This is our fifth year as a family spending time in the Leavenworth area. By far this is the largest and nicest home we've been in to-date. We love to cook big meals during the Christmas holiday and we enjoyed the huge kitchen and the luxury of heated floors! The kids loved the slope outside for sledding, which makes it easier for us by not carting them to one. Great accommodations!

My husband slept so well in the master bed. It was so comfortable! We loved the views and heated floors and surround sound music. We also enjoyed sledding and making an igloo! Kids had a great time and got some serious sledding speed on the slope we made. This has been a great get-away from Seattle! We would love to visit again in the summer, as well. Thanks for sharing your home!
