My wife and I stayed in this condo at Quintas del mar 1, this condo is home away from home, it has everything you can want, even down to note pads for your grocery list. The veiws of the sunsets are magnificent, something you will always remember. The condo is very comfortable and clean and very tastefully decorated. The owners are very concious of your comfort while you are there.

A wonderful Experience!

We had a very relaxing time time in Mazatlan, once again, third time, and your condo was one of the highlights. Thank you for providing an excellent stocked kitchen (from utensils to a blender), great selection of movies, beach towels, amazing king sized bed, lovely large deck (great addition by the way), and the use of the wifi. The condo was very clean and decorated beautifully. Although we have never felt in danger in Mazatlan, the gate and the guard at the entrance made us feel more secure. We would love to come back and stay in this unit some time. Hopefully soon!

A Lovely Spot for a Relaxing Holiday

Guest: S & P (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
Date of Stay: 04/01/11 Review Submitted: 04/10/11

We really enjoyed our stay! As a professional couple (mid 50's) looking for a low-key week of beach, sun and ocean breezes, this was the perfect getaway. We have been all over the Caribbean and many spots in Mexico - we are well travelled and have high standards. The condo complex combines old Mexican charm with well maintained grounds and direct access to a spectacular beach that is sparsely populated (at least in early April). The unit is well appointed with everything you need at your fingertips (including a washer/dryer, which was great to have on hand). The view from the 7th floor balcony is amazing and you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets there- which we did every night. Easy access to places to eat and drink - or you can relax and enjoy your own home-cooking, bbqing a steak on the grills provided. We toured Mazatlan by jumping on the local bus to town; did our grocery shopping by cab; and walked for miles each day on the beach. Cara was most helpful in ensuring our stay was worry free and any questions we might have had were answered before we got there. We appreciated the additional local information provided in "the binder" on arrival and the staff at Quintas del Mar were always happy to help us with any small request. We enjoyed our morning coffee each day by walking on the beach to Looney Beans in the small "mall" just past Playa Bruja (great muffins, scones and breakfast foods as well) and had dinner at the Playa Bruja restaurant on two evenings - casual dining, reasonably priced, and the tortilla soup and shrimp were very tasty. We enjoyed the condo so much that we really weren't inclined to venture out much in the evenings and were happy to have our drinks on the balcony and our dinner "at home" listening to the sound of the waves and watching the colors of the sky as the sun set on the ocean. We would highly recommend this spot for a re-energizing beach holiday - perfect for active adults who love to jog on the beach, swim in the ocean, do laps in the pool, sit under the palapa and read a book or two, then retreat to a clean, comfortable, well decorated, inviting "home away from home" for a good night's sleep (in a very comfortable new king size bed) - refreshed & ready to start the day and do it all over again! Mazatlan is a charming place and the climate is perfect - warm, sunny days, cool comfortable nights - no need for AC - and this is definitely a perfect spot to stay if you plan on visiting. We definitely plan to come back!

30th Wedding Anniversary in Mazatlan

Guest: Jim & Marybeth (Seattle, WA)
Date of Stay: 11/30/10 Review Submitted: 02/07/11

My husband and I stayed at this condo last December for one month. The condo was exactly as pictured – in a secure building, clean and well-appointed with a great view of the ocean. We especially appreciated the WiFi and loved the beautiful balcony - it was larger than others in the building with sliding doors that really opened up the whole place and brought the outside in. We enjoyed “happy hour” out there every evening while watching the sunset. The beach was lovely and much quieter than the Golden Zone, yet there was easy (and cheap!) access to town and grocery shopping via the buses that stopped in front of the complex. Cara and Dave were very helpful before and during our trip. We highly recommend this condo and would come back again!

Incredibly well equiped condo!

My stay in this condo was just fabulous. They have absolutely everything, beach chairs and towels, pool floats, fishing pole, and all of the domestic necessities too. I've rented many condos,...it was a treat to find this one so well equiped. And the view! The pictures say it all. I felt safe, comfortable, and I had a great time.

Once again I stayed at this great condo. The owners have extended the balcony and installed panoramic patio doors so it's as if the place doubled in size! Fresh paint on the walls makes it more cozy then before. I love my bed at home but the bed in this condo is so awesomely comfortable! Everything you need is in this condo; except food and beverages of course. But those are attainable easily enough via taxi, bus or pulmonia ~ The private beach is kept clean as is the pool. And of course, let's not forget the ocean view, which is a stones throw away. Great stay. It is highly recommended. The owners you ask? Cara and Dave are fabulous to work with!!

Easter in Mazatlan

Guest: Lee C. (Las Cruces NM)
Date of Stay: 03/21/10 Review Submitted: 04/18/10

I normally would not book a condo or hotel in Mazatlan for Easter as I do not enjoy fighting large crowds of people. As most activities of the younger active crowd were limited to the Golden Zone, being several miles away with no compelling reason to go there was much more relaxing (less stressful). If a person is in the mood to do their own cooking the unit is well equipped. If the continuous sound of the pounding surf makes you relax and sleep like a baby (day or night) then this is your destination.

Owner response:Lee, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will think of us again. I love to cook, also; and want to be sure all kitchen amenities are available.

A little piece of heaven.

What a wonderful, relaxing vacation we experienced. We were very happy with our condo and the many comforts of home. It suited all our needs perfectly. Cara and Dave kept us abreast by e-mail always making us feel most welcome and in the loop. We especially loved the view from the balcony and spent many happy hours watching the birds playing just over the waves. Watching the sunsets each evening was something we looked forward to each day. We enjoyed the well-equiped kitchen enabling us to shop locally and prepare many tasty meals at our leisure. We were most happy with the well- maintained property. We are now planning our next trip back to this same unit.

Owner response:Thanks, Donna, for reviewing again. We look forward to your return in 2011. The enlarged-balcony project is now completed; and we have better, reliable WiFi. Two, new awesome features!

All I Can Say is PERFECT!

Guest: Joan B. (Seattle, Washington)
Date of Stay: 10/02/09 Review Submitted: 04/30/10

My husband and I stayed at this lovely condo for one month last October. The only negative comment I have is the weather was unusually hot and humid--even for the Mexicans. However, toward the end of our stay the weather was perfect. Quintas del Mar is absolutely perfect--perfect location, wonderful beach, lovely pool, easy access to the local buses and has incredible views. We loved sitting on the balcony after a day on the beach, sipping margaritas while we marveled at the views. We never wanted to leave! The condo is very nice and well appointed. Decor is tasteful. It was nice having two bathrooms! The pool is huge and was basically empty while we were there. Cara and Dave were very helpful with any questions we had. The staff was also helpful and pleasant. We loved watching the iguanas sunning themselves on the wall in front of us and even fed a couple of them peanuts. While we were there a sea turtle came right up on the beach in front of us and laid her eggs. That was very exciting. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the area but could easily hop a bus to go to town if we wanted to. We ate at the Fat Fish several times--it is excellent and very inexpensive. The BBQd ribs are very good and I'll bet you can't eat all of them. We shall return!

Owner response:Thanks, Joan. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and plan to come back (despite the unusually hot weather). ;-) You mentioned enjoying sitting on the balcony. You'll be happy to hear we are increasing our balcony size! The project has already begun and will be completed by mid-May. We're very excited and can't wait for more space for those happy hour afternoons watching the sunset!

I loved it here! The owners are awesome to work with. The condo was clean and bright with everything you need to get by. The beach is beautiful and the grounds are constantly maintained. I cannot wait to go back ~

Owner response:Glad to hear you're coming back in the Spring of 2010. You will love the newly expanded patio and WiFi availability. Also, since you were there last March, we have painted the entire condo and added a window in the laundry room for improved ventilation throughout. Enjoy!

The Sellies in Mexico

Guest: Bev (St. Paul, MN/USA)
Date of Stay: 03/03/09 Review Submitted: 06/22/10

We hade a wonderful time in Mazatlan last year. The condo was more than we expected. The kids loved the fact that it was right on the beach. Our youngest would have been happy if he could have just swam in the ocean all day! We liked the fact that there were some places to walk to, but also enjoyed taking the bus (though a bit scary - meaning the shape the busses were in...) and the kids loved the palminea (sp?). The beach horseback riding with Ginger's horses was a highlight! We feel that we were well prepared for what to expect once we got down there. Thank you! Hope to go back some day!
