If you are looking for a gorgeous mountain view with peaceful surroundings and hiking galore, Fort Mountain has it all! Located atop Fort Mountain at almost 3000 feet between the beautiful mountain towns of Chatsworth and Ellijay with 2000 acres of national forest at your backdoor waiting to be explored.
This spacious yet cozy Non-Smoking cabin has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. There are two Master Suites with queen size beds in each. A Lazy Boy sleeper couch downstairs provides additional sleeping space. There is a game room complete with air hockey, board games, puzzles and cards. The wrap around deck has a gas barbecue grill and lots of room for entertaining.
Fishermen can enjoy the pristine beauty and crystal clear water of Carter's Lake owned by the Corps of Engineers with a sunrise fishing trip or go boating with the family after having a picnic in the gazebo or watching the sunrise off the deck. It is quite common to see wildlife in the area.
An abundance of activities are convenient including Fort Mountain State Park which is only a few miles away with hiking, swimming, paddle boating and breathtaking mountain views. Only a little over an hour to Atlanta or Chattanooga. For a truly relaxing back to nature getaway yet close to activities, come to Fort Mountain. You'll be glad you did!
