We were very pleased with the cabin, it was clean and maintained well! A great family getaway. We were able to rent it last min. and the owner was very easy to work with, looking foward to visiting again. My favorite has to be the jucuzzi, it was set up and ready when we arrived! Thanks Jon for a grea cabin at a wonderfull price, in this economy every little bit helps.

My fiance, dog, and a few friends and I stayed in the Varsano Villa this past weekend, and we had a great stay. We came up from San Diego, and the directions the owner gave me were accurate and the cabin was easy to find, especially for us who have never been to Big Bear before at all. It was just as nice-looking, if not cuter, than the photos online showed. The owner was helpful in answering my questions before we left, as well. When we arrived (about 11:30PM on Friday night since we all had to work a full day), the heat was on, along with the hot tub and a few lights. The driveway was well-shoveled, and getting the key and entering the cabin was really easy. The whole cabin was really well-equipped with cookware and linens, and the owner stocked it with paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, coffee filters; everything we needed. Plus we were left a goody basket and bottle of wine! Very nice. The cabin was very well-maintained and clean. We had 7 people, and we were all very comfortable in our beds. The hot tub was great and stayed warm despite the below-freezing weather. We had one fun day skiing at Snow Summit, and spent the other cooped up in the cabin enjoying hot cocoa by the fire. We used the DirecTV to watch football on Sunday, and the wifi worked well. Just a side note, we had to reset the modem, so if the internet doesn't work for you right away, this might be the issue, and it was a quick fix. The trash site was very easy to get to (about 5 minutes away), and Snow Summit was also close, less than 10 minutes. It was less than a mile to the lake, and two of my (marathon-running) friends got to run along the lake on Sunday. They said it was one of the most beautiful runs they've ever had. The only (very small) criticism we had is that the door from the kitchen leading outside was not as well-insulated as the other doors in the house. But the thermostat worked well, and the heater easily heated the entire cabin thoroughly. My friends and I had such a great time that we want to make a yearly Big Bear trip, and if possible rent this same cabin. We highly recommend the Varsano Villa!

We loved it! It was very nice and very clean. We brought our 2 young kids who thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd bedroom. We were very happily surprised finding a high chair and toys there which helped make our kids feel at home. The hot tub was wonderful and very private with beautiful scenery and the porch swing was a hit with all 4 of us. It had everything we needed and more. Just wonderful, we will be back!

We had a wonderful time at the Varsano Villa! As soon as we walked in the door we felt like we were at home. The house was clean and warm, Home Check Chuck was friendly and helpful. We had everything anyone could possibly need. The house was cozy, the neighborhood was quiet, the surroundings were beautiful. Close to the mountains and restaurants, but everything we needed to cook a wonderful dinner was there for us! We highly recommend the Varsano Villa for a winter getaway! Thank you, thank you!

Property is as advertised. Good location and very comfortable. Had 4 nights there and after a day of fishing or sightseeing nice to come back to a quiet place you can relax. Highly suggest staying here. Already considering a week in Winter to come back.

Let me tell you...I did not know what to expect when I arrived at the Varsano Villa...but when I got there, I knew it was right. My wife and I came out from Rio. We spent a weekend by the lake. Guitars by the fire ring...we sipped champagne and listened to the forest. Clean and cool. Thanks, Jon!

This was a wonderful cabin in a great neighborhood! It was nice and quiet as we sat surrounded by beautiful scenery in the hot tub! It was still close enough to shops and restaurants! I would definitely highly recommend the Varsano Villa!

The cabin was great. It was close to everything and very comfortable. The hot tub is key after a long day of snowboarding. As and added bonus they had a great Dead show from the late 70's. That was the icing on the cake. Thanks so much and I hope to go again. I 100% recommend going if you have the chance

This was a great find. My brother's family and mine stayed at the Varsano Villa in the winter of 2005. We liked the fact we were only a few minutes away from the slope and city center and yet the evenings were quaint as we were nestled in around trees for family time. My kids loved the bunk beds.

We held a family reunion in Big Bear last year and was lucky enough to stumble upon Varsano Villa during a web search. This house had everything we needed. In addition, extra information about the area was provided in the form of Books and Brochures. It was a great experience for our family and we hope to be able to get back there next year. -- Thanks Varsanos!
