  Three of us from Edmonton, Alberta met 2 from Portland, Or here for a few days. Enjoyed the hominess of this house. Happened on Saffron Mediterranean Resturant, walking & WOW- delicious! Also especially enjoyed Palouse Falls, and hours drive North.- beautiful!

  Had such a great time! W on Walnut is a great place. It has all you need to make your stay very comfortable. Lots of great deals to make it seem like home. The place was clean, bed was comfortable and plenty of stuff like games or movies it you didn't bring a book, but they have those too. Easy 4 or 5 blocks to town with LOTS of places to eat and try wine. We didn't get to them all so we'll be back.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

  We just finished a great three night stay at this house and will gladly rent this house again. First off, please keep in mind that the five star rating has to do with the following factors: Value, comfort, pet friendliness. My fiance and I are getting married in Walla Walla next May, but live in Seattle. We have been traveling to the area every six weeks or so and have stayed in mainly hotels. The various hotels we've stayed in have been similarly priced, but have been loud and not nearly as comfortable. This house reminded us both of the house I was renting when we met. It is an older home, but well cared for with good character. The owners take care to offer amenities like a bottle of wine, computer, internet capable TV, use of laundry (soap supplied) that you do not usually have at a hotel. Being able to have our dog without incurring extra charges was a big bonus also (extra refundable deposit on the dog). One other review mentions the street noise. This house is located on a main road, but the road noise was barely noticeable in bed, even though the bedrooms face the street. Cons: If you are looking for a higher end type of lodging this house will not be your cup of tea. The house is located in a working class neighborhood without views. The bathroom is tiny... I am 5'10" & 200 lbs, and felt like Godzilla trying to navigate the streets of Manhattan (1998 Matthew Broderick version)... not quite that bad, but a person on the larger size may find this uncomfortable. Based on the size of the bathroom, I wouldn't have wanted to share with another couple, though a few years ago I would not have had this issue (older and grumpier now). We will be looking to stay here again if available and will be recommending the W on Walnut to our wedding guests as a good option to stay over a hotel. Bottom line: Clean, comfortable beds, privacy of a house, convenience to downtown, dog friendly, value

  Our stay at the "W on Walnut" was excellent. Having the comfort and amenities of home was a welcome change from a generic hotel. The house's open layout made it easy to unwind after a hard day of wine tasting. The large kitchen made it easy to prepare snacks to enjoy on the patio, and the nice flat panel TV made for great movie watching (they have the original, unedited Star Wars on VHS, too!). The bed was comfortable, and the AC provided a nice respite from the hot temperatures. The owners provided a helpful list of wineries to visit, which we appreciated since there seem to be hundreds in the Walla Walla valley. The location was very central and within a few blocks of downtown. We would definitely stay there again,and I've recommended it to some friends! Thanks for such a nice place.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

  Came for the 4th of July! Loved the beautiful neighborhoods to walk the dog. Wine tasting and lunch at Olive in the afternoon. BBQ'd outside in the evening while drinking wine and watching fireworks. We loved being able to celebrate the 4th with our Lab. Great location and you guys are great to work with, especially with last minute notice. Can't wait to come back soon!!!

  We stayed here 2 nights, a Saturday and Sunday. The house was neat and clean, not fancy. The bed we used was extremely comfortable, definitely as good as advertised. The other looked just as good, but we didn't need it. The fenced yard was great for our pooch. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking utensils. The large screen TV was great, and it was great to have the use of the computer and internet access. The owners provided very good recommendations for wineries and restaurants, and were available by phone and email for questions during our stay. The house is near downtown as advertised (and Safeway is conveniently nearby), however, it is on a noisy street, which did not quiet down until at least 11 pm and started up again by 7 am. Also, the neighborhood is a bit rundown, but definitely felt safe. This would have been an overall 4 star rating except for our main problem, which was that the bathroom is small, and the toilet and tp holder are crowded into a space that is about 26" wide, so you need to be a small person to stay here comfortably.

  Walla Walla and your sweet casita were a lovely place to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary! Your home and recommendations provided everything we needed! For dinner we loved the new Public House 124. L'Ecole and Dunham were our favorite wineries. Basel Cellars was a lovely spot to picnic with meats and cheeses from Salumiere Cesario. We also loved checking out the Farmers Market. We were struck by just how nice everyone was who served us at the wineries and the restaurants.... Thanks Michele and Jon, we hope to return with our little one and friends some day. P.S. Seven Hills makes great wine too.

  Air conditioning- Thanks! After 4 days of camping, your home was just what our family and dogs needed! We have never been to WW and really enjoyed ourselves, especially how dog friendly every place was: Russell Creek, Chateau, 3 Rivers, and Charles Smith were great tastings. Check out the 3 hole golf course @ 3 Rivers! Thanks for the nice experience.

  Loved your sweet little retreat- MUCH better than a hotel. Thank you. Tertulio & Rulo are great fun. Long Shadow Fantastic and Walla Walla Vintners very good. (old school fun people). We came for a wedding and it was our 1st time, we will be back. Oh, Pioneer Park is wonderful if you have children.

  Enjoyed my stay at the 'W on Walnut in Walla Walla'. Had all the amenities one would need and was walking distance to downtown. We BBQ'd and ate on the patio one night, and walked into town for dinner the next. I also rented a bike which was great on all the flat streets of Walla Walla; allowed me to go even further without a car (Allegro Cyclery was great but pricey - $45 per day!)

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.

  Amazing little getaway! Staying here was a million times better than a tiny hotel room! After a long day of all the fabulous wine tasting to be able to come back here and feel at home was sooo relaxing!   Girls weekend 2011 was a fantastic time. All friends from Linfield, some of is haven't seen each other in over 3 years! We loved Walla Walla- absolutely adorable. Brasserie 4 for lunch was great, and South Fork Grill is highly recommended. An easy walk from the house. We also loved the wineries so much fun and great quality. Our favorites were Dunham & L'ecole but everything was good! Wish we had more time.

  We had a great time in Walla Walla - The W is cute, clean, close to town, has great info on wine tasting and local restaurants, wine in the wine for sale and TV's and computer - Just a great place to go for a super fun get away.

  Great little place! We were worried about being on a corner, but Walla Walla sure quiets down after 8pm. We had fun taking long walks thru the neighborhood, and downtown, seeing old friends and making new...We hope to be back to "The W" soon.

  Thank you so much for a very comfortable home base during our stay in Walla Walla. We loved the proximity of the house to Downtown, and were able to walk to the Holiday Parade and all the happenings of Holiday Barrel Tasting. Enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Whitehouse Crawford and discovered our new favorite winery- A'Maurice. Thanks again, and happy holidays.

  What a great destination Walla Walla has evolved into. With only two days we've tried to do the very best and I think we found them...The beautiful setting of Basel & Northstar & the serenity of the Crsuh at Cougar Crest and our dinners at Saffron (Wow) & The Marc (surprisingly creative menu-new chef ). All of it great fun and relaxing- thanks to this home base. Thanks for sharing (and for your great suggestions on wineries and restaurants).

  We had a terrific time! The location of the W is so convenient, not only for wine tasting, but great for golf too. We loved the house. The kitchen is better stocked than mine at home. We look forward to coming back again and sitting around the table playing games with friends, while enjoying our day's purchases! Good times- Cheers!

  The "W" was a great home base for us over Memorial Weekend. We managed to find some favorite wines to take home with us. After trying one from your wine fridge, we visited the winery and also purchased it there. Had an amazing dinner at Safron. Lots of sleep, R&R and fun.
