Why the Owner Chose Other Las Vegas Properties
We purchased this property back in 2003 after working in Asia for many years. First, we leased a home for a year as we started a search to buy a house. After looking at more than 150 homes over a 6 month period we finally found our dream home. We never bought this home as vacation rental, but after a couple years in Las Vegas our family of Golden Retrievers started to grow and felt we needed more space. We love animals and besides our dogs also have horses here in Texas. So, rather than selling the house or leasing it out long term we decided a vacation rental would give us more flexibility. Now we visit Las Vegas several times a year on holiday and also make the home available for our many friends and family. This has worked well for us over years.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The central location and quiet neighborhood located in an exclusive rural preservation area of Las Vegas is features we and our guests enjoy. The home is located in a 4 home cul-de-sac on 2.5 acres with total privacy. Close by, just a few blocks away, are the 200+ Las Vegas Outlet mall and many top restaurants like Chili's, Outback, and the best Italian restaurant in town. The large living room/great room is very attractive for family or group gatherings. In Jan 2013 the home just completed a major renovation with new furniture, carpet, painting, 4 new wide screen LCD TV’s. Outside, new patio furniture, and updated solar heating for the pool are added features. In addition, we're now offering a free Toyota Sienna van for use by guests. We now have a new property manager who coordinates the stay of all guests and is available at all times. Last year we had some problems with the previous manager which lead to some complaints, but now the new management team is doing an excellent job.

Here’s a picture of my wife and me at our ranch in Texas where we divide our time between Las Vegas and another home we have in the Pacific. We love animals and have dogs, horses, goats, chickens, ducks that keep us busy. In our spare time We love traveling around the US in our RV.

Beware, property not well cared for

Attemped to stay there in April 2011. Traveling with 4 year old and 6 month old infant. Arrived to find the place about as described in the reviews; dirty floors etc... But that wasn't the reason we had to depart early. After buying enough groceries to last the duration of our stay on our way to the house we discovered that the stove did not work. The TV had no volume and the pool that we had been told would be warm was very cold. The property manager was not available to help us because she said she was bartending. She did arrange a repairman to fix the stove the following day, but we had cereal for dinner our first night in Las Vegas. They were not able to fix the TV and as for the pool, we were then informed that it would take 2-3 days to heat and that it would cost an additional $500.00. The property manager who I should mention is not the owner, advised us to move out and that our money would be refunded. All told we were there less than 24 hours. It took 40 days to refund our deposit and the additional nights were never refunded. :(
Owner response:The review posted by this guest was an isolated incident after more than 5 years of rental to people from all over the world. In Jan 2012 the home has just completed major remodeling with new carpet, furniture, latest wide screen LCD Tv's, Solar pool heating system. and additional sofa beds. New Temperpedic mattress in master as well.

This was my very first vacation rental in the Las Vegas area. I couldn't be happier with our choice in housing. In fact, I've rented different places in the area since then and no place has lived up to our expectations like this place had. Pictures are exactly what the place looks like. I did not notice any smells, dirtiness or issues with the property as I see others are pointing out. The owner himself was very personable and took the time to answer my many, many questions. Property manager was very nice and again took the time to ensure we were well taken care of. The area is only a short distance from the strip and each night a casino bus came to escort us to our destination. After all day fun around the pool, it was nice to know the night life of Las Vegas was only a mile or two away. More than enough room for a large group. The place was somewhere I was proud to host a weekend in Vegas. Our only issue was our own fault. Our group was irresponsible with some of the clean up at the time of check out. I thought the owner was fair and justified in his decision on how much of the security deposit to refund us. I've been searching for a place to re-live our fantastic weekend in Vegas ever sense, and every other place has fallen short.

Rented this property for two nights in February 2011. As other reviews have stated, the property is large and beautiful and it looks just like the photos. Our party consisted of 9 adults, 2 children, 1 toddler and 1 infant and there was plenty of space for everyone to stretch out. Property is perfectly suitable for those with young children, but there is a glass coffee and side table you may wish to ask for permission to move out of the way. Property is not too far from the strip, though we did not do much there anyway. Would definitely like to rent again when it's warm enough to use the pool/jacuzzi and barbecue in the spacious back yard. Next time we'll also bring the dog. Since the rental was somewhat last minute, payment of the rental fee and refundable damage deposit was handled via a deposit directly into the owner's bank account. This wasn't a problem and we received a full refund of the deposit via personal check about a week and a half after the trip. Both the owner and property manager were very responsive to questions. Manager went and bought a box of dish washing detergent when we advised him that the property was out. The only downside to this property is that the carpets were very dirty and were in need of a good shampooing, as evident by inspecting one's white socks after walking around the house for a little while. So bring slippers if you don't like having dirty socks but aren't accustomed to wearing shoes in the house.

We rented this house for a wedding party. The house is beautiful and looks just like the pictures. The layout is perfect for a large family gathering and very comfortable. But, it was very dirty. We had to clean the house ourselves before our event. There were problems with the pool water and we were charged extra for the cleaning person to clean the pool. The bed linen had not been cleaned and the beds squeaked. The owner was not willing to refund any of our money for the problems. If the carpet downstairs has been replaced and the room painted and if everything is clean then you should consider this home.
Owner response:This is an inaccurate statement of the facts. Note this rental occured back in Aug 2008 and the renter continues to pos reviews. The facts are: 1. the renter did not reveal to us the house was to be used for a wedding reception. We do not rent the house for weddings and/or receptions. 2. they exceeded the maximum number of guest/visitors allowed. 3. even after instructions on the use of the pool equiment, they turned the wrong valves causing the pool to backflush, thereby calling for a service call by the pool cleaners. They did receive refund, less a small fee chaged for the pool service call.

We had a group of 9 adults and one dog. I was concerned about the previous reviewer's mention of the smell in the basement, so I emailed the owner and he assured me that the carpet would be replaced and the basement painted before our stay. He delivered. Basement is HUGE and very comfortable with two king size beds and two couches, plus the pool table. The bedrooms are great and very private, lots of bathrooms and space throughout the house. We were all very pleased, especially with the yard...we had a great B-B-Q, drinks, and we swam all day. Very inviting kitchen and eating area for morning coffee and meals...better than having to go down to a buffet for breakfast! We all drank our coffee and had our breakfast in our PJ's! Things that could be improved: TV in the yard - does not work...All TVs throughout the house are outdated and have poor quality. We wanted to watch some World Cup Soccer and picture was bad in almost all TV's. Stereo is pretty outdated, too. Weather was perfect for using the pool, but if you go in the winter, you may have to pay extra for heating...even the jaccuzzi...which, I thought would be included, but oh well. Otherwise, this was a great house for the price. We had plenty of room, a great pool, fantastic kitchen, and a big yard for our dog!

Choosing a destination, booking a flight, & gathering up your best girlfriends are easy when planning a getaway. The daunting task of finding just the right place to stay that suits everyone's needs is another story - until I stumbled upon this gem on Robindale Rd. Our mouths dropped as soon as we opened the front door & stayed that way as we explored the house, patio, pool, & property. Everything was clean, well maintained, & comfortable. Kenny, the property manager, ROCKS! I can't say enough good about him - patient, kind, helpful, & certainly worked around our schedule. The owner was also great to deal with & went out of his way to answer any & all questions I had. The SUV was clean, great to drive, & a true gift. We found Las Vegas easy to navigate & self parking at the hotels was never a problem & free. We did have an iphone which we used a few times for directions. Grocery stores & a killer Trader Joe's were within a few miles of the house. The owner highly recommended Bootlegger Bistro which is about a mile from the house. His recommendation was spot on. We ate there twice & both meals were fabulous! There is also a large outlet mall across from the restaurant. Although the glitz & glimmer of the Strip was a blast, we always looked forward to returning to this peaceful beautiful oasis to swim, relax, & regroup. It truly provided a perfect break during the heat of the day & allowed us a breather before we hit the Strip again in the evening. We were so grateful that we didn't have to share the pool with hundreds of other people, that we could come 'home' to a quiet neighborhood, that we could all have meals together, that we could all sit around, laugh, & chat together, & that we could look out at the mountains. No hotel in Vegas can offer this. If these things are important to you, strongly consider booking this home. You won't be disappointed.

Elegant Rental at a Great Price

I was on the internet showing a friend where we stayed in Vegas on our fun trip earlier this year and was very surprised to see a negative review of this property. Their experience seems to be so very different from the lovely time our family had at the very same place, perhaps it was a fluke and the cleaning lady did a poor job that day, or more likely they had a bad flight or just lost a bundle at the casinos or something. We really enjoyed our stay at Robindale Road and were very pleased with the property. It’s large, elegant and spacious and a tremendous value for what you pay… and that doesn’t even take into account the free car that comes with the property. You just can’t beat what you get for the price! Since I was so surprised by the tone of the review and because I was planning another trip to Vegas, I called the property manager and asked if something had changed and was told that not only was everything fine but that they were installing new carpet and freshening up the paint next week. Apparently it has been a very popular rental this past winter and they were waiting for a break in the bookings to do their Spring Cleaning. My only real complaint is the property is booked up for almost the entire summer and I wanted to stay there for our next trip!

We arrived Feb/24th/2010 After viewing the house we found the the basement with a horrible smell, the carpets were ripped and stained and they had several ant Traps everywhere. The upstairs was also not clean. The furniture had rips and stains the carpet upsatirs was dirty. We contacted the owner and told him about our problems and he told us we would have to deal with the property manager. He arrived and explained the odor in the basement was probably the flood they had and guaranteed us our full refund so we left. We have only received the damage deposit back and a cleaning fee.The place needs a complete make over and this was the opinion of 5 GUY's. Think TWICE.......

The pictures are fairly accurate for the house. It was a great place for me and my 9 girlfriends to stay for the weekend - lots of room. Having the free vehicle was also a bonus, but we had to put gas in it and didn't use what we put in. I would suggest having it full and then replacing what is used. The only real complaint was related to the cleaning. The house was surface cleaned, but the carpets, walls and some furniture could have been cleaned better. The basement was rather damp as well. I expressed these concerns to the owner (who doesn't live there), so these may have been taken care of. We didn't have time to use the pool or hottub but they looked great! Finally, it is rather far from the strip - need to drive for sure! Despite this, we would stay there again.
