This ground level, 1 bedroom, 1.25 bath condo is located at Durango Mountain Resort/Purgatory Ski Area only a short 5 minute walk to the Express Lift and ski plaza. Enjoy all the outdoor activities offered close by including snow mobiles, crosscountry skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.
With 2 queen beds in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room the condo easily sleeps 6. The 2 patios offer views of the West Needles Mountains. Relax in front of the wood burning fireplace after a day of playing in the Colorado Mountains.

Enjoy the peaceful quiet of the surrounding San Juan Mountains. Or play hard on the fantastic mountain bike, hiking and horseback riding trails just minutes away. Take a drive on the San Juan Scenic Highway and visit Silverton, Ouray or Telluride. Take a day to visit Mesa Verde National Park or ride the Durango Silverton Train. What a wonderful condo. Perfect location. Just a few steps to the slopes made our stay super convenient for skiing. The condo is lovely. New appliances and updated/remodeled interior with nice furnishings makes this a standout condo as many condos in this area can be dated. Very clean with lots of personal touches which made it feel like "home". Kitchen is set up for cooking and a dishwasher makes it super convenient to clean up after meals. Real fireplace makes for a cozy apres ski experience. We would stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The condo was clean, comfortable and homey. There were many little touches that made you feel at home. The condo was just as the pictures on the internet depicted. We stayed there for the month of July and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the beds were hard but that is personal preference. My husband thought they were fine. We had a couple of small issues and the owner dealt with them promptly and courteously. I would recommend staying there and if we decide to spend time in Durango again next year in the summer we would certainly consider this condo again.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

We love this condo, this was our third stay in 3 years. The location can't be beat, it's an easy walk to the ski lifts. Being on the 1st floor also makes it easy to store your snowboard or skis in the ski locker right across the door. The condo is always clean and cozy. We love making a fire in the fireplace after a long day of skiing. You can also walk to the village restaurants if you don't feel like cooking or driving into Durango. We hope to be back again this year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

About the owner: We love Durango and all it has to offer. We ski bike, cross country ski, snowshoe, mountain bike and hike in these wonderful mountains.
Why the Owner Chose Purgatory Townhomes:
We wanted a place close to where we live but with a feel of being away in the mountains. Although our condo is only 25 minutes from downtown Durango when you are there it feels like you have traveled much further to reach the wonderful high mountains. It is beautiful any time of year and always feels like we are on vacation.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
In the winter we enjoy being able to walk back and forth from the ski lifts. There are fabulous spots close by for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. In the summer there are mountain bike trails and hiking trails very close by. Our favorite trail is Purgatory Flats just across from the ski resort entrance. After a day of skiing or hiking we love to drive down to the Olde Schoolhouse for pizza.
