We had a blast! The place was perfect for our family of boys. I loved that we could just take a short, easy walk to the beach! We spent our days at the beach right there and then also at two others: Harris State Park and Samuel H. Broadman. We saw seals and a sea otter. We built sand castles, forts and went on long walks along the cliffs. We also went to Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park in California. Amazing! This was the perfect place to come home to after spending our days playing outdoors! Loved it!

The location was excellent. A quick stroll to the Winchuck River and Ocean where we flew kites and built forts with the drift wood. The visitors center is just a few walking minutes away and worthwhile to see. The home was clean and the owner was prompt with answers and returning our deposit. The out door deck is very relaxing and has plenty of chairs and room for people to sit. For the price it is a gem! We would rent it again!

I just got back from a week long stay...It was wonderful!..I can't say enough good things about the whole experience. Ken, the owner, was very good about communicating with me about questions I had. (before and after the trip) The picture is VERY accurate, it is a lovely home with every possible supply you could imagine needing. Everything worked just fine, and there were lots of dishes and towels...and the washer and dryer were great for a week long stay. The neighborhood is very quiet. and seemed quite safe...I certainly would recommend this property to friends, relatives, or anyone looking for a great Beach experience. We found tons of beautiful rocks on the beach, there is Brady Park Distillery about 15 min away. Lone Pine State Park is just a few miles north of Brookings; it's FREE and there are wonderful tidepools. My husband went out on the Trade Winds Charter fishing boat, and had a great time...and Zola's Pizza at the marina was wonderful.. All in all,.If you are looking for a 'Party House' for your boozing, rowdy friends, with loud music you should probably choose a different place,...but if you are looking for a lovely home to share with civilized family and friends..I can guarantee you, you wont be disappointed!

The home is well kept and has all the comforts you could want in a vacation home. We were a party of 4 adults, 2 kids, and the family dog. Everyone enjoyed our stay there. The home was well stocked with cooking utensils, spices and herbs, towels, paper products, etc. All the appliances worked and the beds and sofas were all comfortable. The ocean access is perfect whether you want a river or beach experience it is perfect. The rental fees were reasonable and the owner was accommodating. Everything was as he said it would be. We recommend you rent this place and please take good care of it because we plan to go there again ourselves.

My family had a wonderful time at the vacation house, the kids loved playing outside in the yard and walking to the beach and playing in the water. The house is very nice and we had plenty of room with my family of 6. I loved how the bedrooms had their own doors to the deck, we kept our door cracked open and listened to the ocean every night! We will definitely rent this house again the next time we go to Brookings!

This bungalow is well stocked, private and close to Brookings Harbor, Redwood areas and ocean views. The bedrooms are large, two baths are warmed by heaters and provide plenty of rooom. The kitchen is a good place to cook with all the cutlery ever necessary. Our large dog was welcomed by the hosts and it is a great location for dogs on the ocean five minutes away. Whether hiking, shopping or just resting; this is a basecamp for northern California and southern Oregon coastal areas. Comfy, clean and clear ocean view!

It didn't even matter that it rained on us our whole trip... It was the best vacation we have ever had. There was plenty room for our six person family and it was literally a home away from home! The beds are fantastic, the living room is so cozy and the kitchen is perfect if you like to cook on vacation! We went hiking through the Redwood Forest. The Oregon Redwood Trail was the best and closest to the beach house. The sign is marked on the highway so you can't miss it. The quail cross right in front of the front door and the setting all around the house is so peaceful. The walk down to the Winchuck River where it enters into the ocean is beautiful and the view is gorgeous! We had just enough things to entertain ourselves, but didn't feel the need to fill up every second. It was the first vacation that we were able to just relax part of the time. We decided to eat in for the most part because it was such a breeze and I love to cook, but we did go out to eat one night. We went to the Brookings Harbor and ate at Chetco grill and seafood and it was AWESOME! I would have sworn that we walked into our families house. The waitress was super sweet and a great server. The owner, who was cooking, came out to visit and to see who was brave enough to order shark. He was really surprised when he found out it was our teenage daughter! Great people, great service, great location and great food! We were planning our next visit on day 2 of our 4 day visit. We love it and plan to return very soon! It was like all the comforts of home with new and exciting places to see.

This house is very well kept. The location is quiet & peaceful. Perfect for relaxing, yet close enough to all that Brooking has to offer. We even made a quick trip to the Redwoods! Very well furnished, we found ourselves lacking nothing. Even had some breakfast fixins for our first morning (that we replaced, of course). Cable & wireless internet were a huge hit with our kids. And most importantly....the beach (just a short walk from the porch) was BEAUTIFUL! It felt like our own private piece of heaven. Don't forget to visit Chetco Point, or take in a round of golf at Salmon Run. This really is a great house to relax in.

Everything exceeded our expectations for this vacation. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we could need or want. It even had an ice cream maker! Even though town was close by, we felt secluded in the quiet little dead end drive. Our kids keep asking when we get to go back. The weather was pleasant and all the town folk were friendly. We enjoyed the beach, touristy areas and pier as well as just staying home. If you are looking to relax, this is your place!

We had a very nice stay at this house. It was comfortable for my family of four plus our dog, and it was well-stocked. It feels private, and it's an easy walk to a beautiful spot on the river and beach.
